Today was a great day. Tsukasa had a wonderful morning today and all his classes were fairly easy and so far, he had no homework. ‘HAHAHA! this is a wonderful day for a future star like me!! nothing can go wrong today!’ he thinks but as luck would have it, today was about to be ruined. as Tsukasa walks to his classroom door , he fails to notice 2 boys lurking in the shadows.
"pfft" a certain ginger let out a laugh.
*smack*
"cut it out akito! I only agreed to help you with this because you said you wouldn’t pick on Tsukasa anymore!"
The boy with split hair then took a step forward to warn his senior but then his friend quickly pulled him back.
"oh no you don’t. trust me toya, this is gonna be so funny" akito said with a wicked grin appearing on his lips. Tsukasa, with a grin steps forward to open the door and is ready to greet everyone with a smile but when the door swings open a pile of (fake) bugs fall on him!
"AHHHHH WHAT THE HELL GET THEM OFF!!!"
"pfft…HAHAAHAHA , oh my god, that was hilarious!" akito laughs and wipes a tear that appeared while he was laughing.
Hearing the sound of laughter, Tsukasa looks towards the sound only to find the familiar ginger whom he dislikes.
"oh shut up that wasn’t funny akito.. im going to go check on Tsukasa-senpai." Toya says making his way to the blonde.
´that darn shinonome.’ Tsukasa clenched his fist a clear frown appearing on his face. Before going to pick a fight with the younger, his kohai, Toya, walks up to him apologizing for akitos behavior.
"im sorry about that Tsukasa-senpai..he promised me that he wouldn’t pick on you anymore so that’s why I agreed to help him but..you know how that turned out" The younger apologizes with a small frown on his face.
"Its okay I guess..don’t worry Toya I know it wasn’t you who planned this. It’s always that fricking shinonome-kun." Tsukasa says with a frown. Toya sighs while shaking his head.

Tsukasa makes his way to the rooftop to meet up with his friends for lunch. He’s still kind of annoyed from the incident that happened earlier but that all goes away when he catches sight of a certain purple haired male
"Rui!!!" the blonde calls out
"Oh hai Tsukasa-kun !" the purple haired man greets his friend.
Tsukasa then sits down next to rui to yap about the unfortunate events that happend today. "Rui! let me tell you what happend to me today. So basically I was having an amazing wonderful day but then while I was going to enter my 4th period classroom and I opened the door, and BUGS FELL FROM ABOVE. and guess who the flip it was who put those bugs there."
"was it shinonome-kun perchance?" the taller said with a slight smirk
"YES. I swear that guy gets on my nerves..I don’t understand why Toya defends him so much."
"who knows.."

Art was the last class of the day for Akito, he was zoning out because that class was higkey boring. He only took it because that class is required. Akito has his head on his hand, about to doze off when the teacher announces something.
"you guys will be doing an art project in pairs," and the whole class lights up at that and makes eye-contact with their friends- well except for the ginger. he couldn’t care less honestly.
"I will be choosing the partners. This is worth 90% of your grade so I will choose your partners because I know alot of you like to fool around" The teacher says as she gives akito a look. The classes cheer disappears as fast as their joy came.
‘the hell she looking at me for?? I don’t even slack off dafaq…’ akito frowns slightly knowing damn well he does mess around in class.
"anyways… the pairs will be… ichika and honami" (yes ik im saying their first names i kinda forgot their last names…)
akito PRAYS he doesn’t get stuck with some loser or weirdo. That would be embarrassing.

‘crap all the normal people are being taken.. as long as I don’t get stuck with kamishiro it should be fine’

the ginger froze.
‘girl what the FUCK’ as soon as he said ‘I hope I don’t get kamishiro’ HE GETS KAMISHIRO. Akito’s eye starts twitching and he starts to pinch himself hoping he’s dreaming because he just got stuck with the most weirdest weirdo of all time!! (as if he isn’t one as well..)

‘oh my god I’m actually gonna die.’
The bell rang signaling that school was over. Akito packed his bag rather slowly because he was hoping to talk to rui while everyone was gone because he was NOT going to be seen talking with a weirdo ruining his reputation he worked so hard to build. his lovely reputation of being a good-looking ,popular, ‘bad-boy’ image. does he really think of himself like this? absolutely not. If anything, he thinks he’s pathetic and weird (the irony) he’s actually pretty insecure about himself and doesn’t think he’s good enough but there’s no way in hell he’s gonna let people know that!
So anyways, once everyone has left he turns around to walk to Rui’s desk. The elder is knocked out with his sketchbook of his designs laid out on the table.
‘huh what’s this’ the ginger looks down to see some of rui’s sketches. interested he looks back at rui to make sure he’s still asleep while carefully taking the notebook out of his hands.
‘woah these designs lowk kinda cool…’ akito thinks while flipping the pages immersed into the designs of the older teen.
after some time akito is still entranced by the designs he doesn’t notice his senior wake up. rubbing his eyes he looks at his desk, wide eyed in realization that his notebook is gone but then hears pages flipping. he turns around and finds his junior with a small smile on his lips while looking at his designs. rui flashes a genuine smile at this. happy that someone finds his work interesting and looking at it with pure joy and curiosity
"fufufu~ do you like my designs that much shinonome-kun~" the purple haired boy snaps the ginger out of his trance with a cat-like grin on his face akito jumps a little, eyes widening at the realization that rui has woken up the younger hands the sketchbook back to his senior, which he gladly takes back giving akito a small smile.
"u-uhm..no…your designs are only like, a little cool……" akito says rubbing the back of his neck with his hand while averting his eyes from the golden eyed teen.
"hmm, is that so? you see, i’ve been awake for a few minutes and you’ve been lost in my sketches for a while" the older teases
"i- whatever. that’s not what im here for, I’m here to talk to you about our project."
"oh yes! I’ve forgotten about that.." "yeah, uhm, well, what days are you free" "oh my asking me out already?~" the older jokes with a sly grin
"wha- no! obviously for the project” akito scoffs looking away with a faint blush on his cheeks ‘seriously this guys annoying…’ akito thinks
"hmm well I’m free tomorrow and pretty much everyday..except for thursdays, I have practice that day."
"Right, well I have practice on tuesdays so..I guess we can work on it tomorrow since im not doing anything" the younger explains
"Sure! where do you want to meet up?" rui asks with a smile
‘well definitely not my place…’
"Uhm we can’t go to my house it’s…kind of…loud..? can we go to yours?" akito asks scratching his cheek a little with his finger
‘well he’s not a very good liar…but no matter, i won’t press him’
"sure! I live alone so that won’t be a problem. Wanna exchange numbers so I can send you the address?"
"uh, yeah here" akito diggs his hand into his pocket in watch for his phone. He then hands it to his senior and rui types his information into his phone
"Okayyy~! all done! wanna walk out together??" Rui asks with a hopeful glint in his eyes. akito blushes a little.
"Oh-um, sure" he says as rui stands up to leave
"kay! let’s go!" Rui says and grabs onto his kohai’s wrist, leading him out of the classroom
"gah! hey- wait! I can walk by myself you know …" the younger retorted with blush flushing over his cheeks at the unexpected action.
‘he’s warm..’ akito concluded, flashing a very small smile. rui chuckles, and lets go of the younger’s wrist as they arrived at the school gate
"sorry~ It’s a habit i have, you know, dragging my friends everywhere" (he’s lying chat he just wanted to touch akito)
"hm, it’s fine I guess..also I didn’t know you had friends" Akito smirks giving a teasing glance at his elder.
rui smiles , "well, I’m not quite sure how I got friends in the first place…but no matter!"
Akito doesn’t say anything to that. He feels a little bad but then Rui switches the topic. The rest of the way home they have light-hearted conversations. Sharing some laughs and giggles. Mostly akito laughing at rui’s jokes. Akito finds himself actually smiling and feeling happy
‘maybe Kamishiro-senpai isn’t so bad after all… wait what am I saying he’s still a weirdo. But then again, when im with him it feels like it doesn’t really matter’ akito then smiles again at the thought. They continue walking until they end up at a cross road. Rui looks at the ginger and points to one of the roads.
"My house is over there"
"Oh, I’m going over here" Akito points to the opposite road.
"Well, I’ll see you tomorrow! Bye shinonome-kun~" rui says, waving goodbye
"yeah bye kamishiro-senpai" akito waves back, a little disappointed they had to part ways so soon. Akito then arrives infront of his house with a lingering feeling of happiness. He hopes that he still keeps that feeling once he enters his house.
He then opens his door and calls out, "i’m homee!" as he puts his shoes on the rack and changes into his slippers. To his suprise (and relief) his parents aren’t here. But his sister is.. He steps into the kitchen and finds his sister there. The elder turns around and scowls at her younger brother.
“Well you seem in a pretty good mood today..did something happen, oh!- like a new girl hitting on you~" The older shinonome teases.
"girl what? no." The younger sibling retaliates.
"Can’t I just be in a good mood WITHOUT it having to be about a…girl…" (this boys gay)
Ena gives him a look but then drops the subject. “Yeah, well whatever. Dinner is in the fridge if you want some." Ena says and takes her food and makes her way to her room for hibernation.
"yeah sure whatever." akito rolls his eyes and opts to have some dinner.

sun rays peak out the window with curtains blocking most of the light. akito opens his eyes, wincing at the light that manages to slip into the room. He rubs his eyes a little to wake up and realizes that he has to go to rui’s house later today. He grabs his phone and opens it, scrolling on tiktok and other apps. He then decides to check his messages and finds an unknown number has texted him.

i was asleep and ill be there at uhhh 3?

akito then checked the time on his phone and saw that it was 12:00 pm. he slept in alot. with a sigh Akito gets up to start his day. He goes to the bathroom to freshen up, goes to the kitchen to eat some yummy yum yum pancakes, and then goes back in the bathroom to brush his teeth and shower. he comes back into his room.
1:15 reads the clock. He then picks his outfit. He chose baggy black jeans with black Adidas campus’s paired with a white tank top and a black leather jacket. (His casual is lowk not casual) he then decides to put some of his hair into a small ponytail, he then puts on some earrings and necklaces. akito looks in the mirror and thinks ‘oh yes who is this FINE man’ he smiles at himself with his random burst of confidence. He then does his skincare because…you should always do your skincare brah. Anyways, once’s he’s done, he checks his phone to see if rui replied.

Akito notices that it was almost 3, so he decided to just head out now.
he was walking for a little while until he eventually stopped infront of his Senpai’s house. He would be lying if he said he wasn’t atleast a little bit nervous. I mean…he’s about to enter the house of the weirdest, craziest, and smartest guy at school! He just sucked it up and was about to knock on the door when the door suddenly swung open revealing Rui, wearing a plain casual outfit that consisted of baggy dark wash jeans, with a baggy grey champions sweater.
"Hi shinonome-kun!!" Rui greeted the younger with a smile. stepping aside so akito can enter his house
"yo." akito greeted. he stepped inside the older teens home. He quickly scans the area making note of some things. Like how quiet the place is and how the living room has papers littered everywhere…
"what happened here” Akito asks with a grin pointing at the living room.
"Oh-uh- well I normally do my work in my living room and I was doing stuff while I was waiting for you and I sorta lost track of time…before I knew it , it was 3 and you showed up at my door!" The purple haired male explains, sweat dropping from his head
"hm.." the younger then spots a shelf with a little robot cat sitting on top of it.
"hey! isn’t that one of the sketches that was in your notebook?" Akito walks over to the robotic cat
"hm? oh yes! I made that cat a few months ago to use for one of me and my friends performances!" Rui explains with a proud expression on his face. Akito listens and turns back to the cat in awe.
"Hey what else have you made?" Akito asks with curiosity glimmering in his eyes
rui- a little taken aback from the comment, blushes slightly, he starts to talk about his inventions and leads akito into his workplace that actually has alot of his inventions and mechanical parts.
"Woahhh this is so cool Kamishiro-Senpai! I didn’t know you did this much work! can I touch them??" akito asks, amazed by his senpai’s work
"sure, go ahead" normally, rui wouldn’t let people touch his inventions because he’s afraid they would break or mess them up (and because he’s a little possessive of things) but for some reason, he trusts akito. while akito is admiring his work, rui finds himself smiling at the sight of the ginger looking at his work with awe and actuakly appreciating what rui has accomplished. He feels a strange, unfamiliar feeling in his stomach when akito comments on some details of his inventions that caught his eye. after a while of looking around, the two eventually remember that they have a project to complete.
They make their way into rui’s room and akito makes a note on how cute his room is. That was actually kinda unexpected. Well akito wasn’t sure what he was expecting but it wasn’t a room with white colored walls, regular sized bed, with light blue comforters and A LOT of plushies everywhere.
"heh i didn’t take you for a guy that like stuffed animals." akito teases with a smirk.
"but then again, you are apart of the weirdo combo for a reason."
rui chuckles, "well I am full of surprises !"
akito laughs a little, "yeah well, let’s get started on the project now"
they start discussing their projects and what they want to do for the design and stuff which took them like an hour. They then make a rough draft of the project really planning it out which took them ANOTHER hour. They start actually working on the final draft a little until akito notices the sun setting.
"Hey I think we’ve done enough for today. my legs are asleep from being on them for hours." akito complains Rui smiles,
"yeah, I’m getting kinda hungry…and I’ve got some homework that I want to finish" Rui says putting away their project
"Oh yeah! I forgot about that..maybe I should do mine too" Akito opens his backpack getting his math work out
"Woah shinonome-kun~ you actually do your homework??” the older teases akito scoffs
"well yeah duh- well- I do some work…you know the ones I can actually do…or I make some loser do my homework.." akito says and rubs the back of his neck
"My, how rude Shinonome-Kun, I hope you won’t expect me to do your homework for you" The purple mop (rui) teases
"I don’t expect you to! I was just saying…"
Rui laughs at the boy trying to defend himself (there is no defending that) "I mean, I can’t do your work but I can help you. If you’d like." rui offers his junior a smile
"oh- um- sure if you don’t mind…" akito says bashfully
"I don’t" Rui then scoots closer to akito in order to look at his work. "Oh I remember this from last year. It’s simple, what problem are you struggling on?"
Akito and rui are now sitting real close to each other. okay not that close but close enough where their thighs almost touch under the table. They’re sitting on the floor and akito has his homework laid out on the small coffee table Rui has in his room.
"o-oh well, I’m having trouble with this problem..my teacher might’ve gone over it but I most likely wasn’t paying attention…" a small chuckle escapes the lips of the older teen. with a smile rui teases the ginger.
"Why am I not suprised?" which earns him a glare from the younger and makes rui laugh even more. "Well anyways, " rui leans a little too close to akito when he reaches for his pencil. It makes akito get a whiff of his senpai’s scent.
‘he smells like lavender’
Akito blushes at the fact that he actually likes how rui smells.
Rui then starts to explain the problem and akito tries his best to listen, really he does. but the smell of the older and the way he’s leaning so close towards akito makes it a little hard to focus. It seems that the older isn’t aware of how close he is. they’re already touching thighs and akito notices.
´he’s warm’ is all akito can think of right now as a shade of pink blooms on his face.
eventually, he snaps out of it and locks in trying to comprehend what the flip rui is talking about.
Eventually, they both finished their homework and in the corner of akitos eye, he finds a video game that he really likes in one of Rui’s shelves.
"Oh my god is that genshin??" (shh don’t comment on that)
"Hm? oh yeah. you play?" Rui asks with actual curiosity. He didn’t expect akito of all people to play that game.
"Oh- um, yeah…don’t tell anyone though!" akito grimaces.
"if anyone means everyone then i’ll tell them!" rui jokes with a cat-like grin on his face. He obviously won’t tell anyone but at first, akito didn’t seem to get it was a joke because he froze for a second, but then he gave rui and glare after he realized it was a joke.
"ha.ha. anyways thank you for helping me today kamishiro-senpai. It’s time for me to head home before my parents get mad.." akito says, shuddering a little at the thought of his parents getting mad.
"oh right, well let me walk you to the door" rui stands up and akito follows. when akito is now at the doorstep, he turns around to look at rui.
"Today was fun, thank you" Akito smiles genuinely, for the first time today.His eyes glowing. The older is taken aback for a second, taking in the beautiful sight of the shorter male as his hair gently sways with the wind and the light illuminating his beautiful olive eyes.
rui smiles as well, "no need to thank me, it was fun hanging out with you"
akito lets out a short laugh, "see you monday Kamishiro" he says giving Rui one last look before leaving
"See you Shinonome" Rui then closes the door once akito is out of sight.
Rui stands there for a moment before falling down with his back pressed up against the door, head in his hand.
Blushing. ‘lord please don’t tell me i’ve caught feelings for..Shinonome Akito!!’
he then starts laughing a little at how stupid this is. Liking someone who he’s sure is 99% straight and popular who wouldn’t dare associate let alone date a weirdo like himself.
