Leone wasn't normally an early riser by no means, but anyone would be awake if they smelt coffee near themselves. With a low groan she opened her eyes and rubbed with her hands over her face to chase away the last traces of sleepiness. When her vision was clear, Leone looked on the bedside table on her right, spotting the thing to wake her from her sleep: a steaming mug of coffee, a plate with two still warm croissants, butter and a bit of ham and cheese at the side, and finally a flower bouquet having a note tied to it with a yellow ribbon. The bouquet was made from red Camellia and white Carnation flowers. Hearing her stomach rumble, Leone swiftly went out of her bed and quickly got dressed before taking the plate and coffee mug and settling it on a nearby table.
Sitting down she quickly used her Teigu Lionelle to transform into her Lion form, which only made her smell the delicious looking breakfast even better, and cut the croissants in half. After transforming back, Leone put the butter, ham and cheese onto the croissants and started to eat. A small moan escaped her as the delicious taste tingled the buds on her tongue. The coffee was also tasty, not boiling hot but still pleasantly warm, and a bit sweet. Savoring both the croissants and the coffee, it took Leone near fifteen minutes to finish her breakfast. After she was done, and picked up even the crumbs of the plate, Leone felt energised and ready for today. Taking the plate and the mug, she prepared to exit her room and put the used cutlery into the kitchen, when she spotted the still waiting note and the bouquet. Setting down the plate again, Leone took the bouquet and separated the note from it without breaking the ribbon holding it together. She opened the note and started to read.
„Hey Leo, I noticed that you were pretty tired yesterday evening. I hope that this will give you a good start for today. Love, Akame :-)“
Leone's heart fluttered at her girlfriend's sweet gesture. It was small moments and gestures like these that mattered the most to her in their relationship. Contrary to her ‚Party animal‘ persona, when it came to Akame and herself, Leone preferred to slow down a bit. Surprise breakfasts just like now, stargazing while lying in each others arms, or just cuddling on the couch in the HQ's common room, that was when Leone could describe herself as being the most happy. Smiling at the note, she tucked it back into the bouquet's ribbon and put it back onto the bedside table. Taking the plate and mug again, Leone mused on how to repay Akame for this lovely morning while making her way to the kitchen. Maybe a small kiss?
