Taking the Initiative

Summary:

A sweet confession in the school's rear courtyard.

Notes:

The Player is based on my PC/OC. Cain (he/she) has male genitalia. Kylar is based on my in-game Kylar.

Work Text:

"I-I love you, Cain!” Kylar exclaimed. After his rare show of bravery, he hid his face behind his sketchbook which he held up with both hands.

The love confession was barely a surprise—how could it be when Kylar was so obviously in love with you? He showed his love in everything he did, from how he strode every English class to sit beside you, staring off anyone who dared to even look your way, how he always took away your trays at lunch as if what was yours was his and vice versa, to the way he always shared his exam answers with you whenever he caught you peeking, so eager to please.

What did come off as a surprise, however, was the fact that he was brave enough to actually confess to you. With how long the song and dance between you two had been going on, you thought you would have to make the first move. After all, although Kylar was known as the loner and freak of the school, you had to admit that you were enamored by him. How could you not love someone who loved you so openly? Someone who loved you despite all your flaws—no, he even found your flaws perfect. It was endearing, he was endearing, and you just wanted to gobble him up sometimes.

So, you’d been waiting for the perfect time to make him yours, following him to the rear courtyard of the school after you’d finished lunch, only to be met with this beautiful confession. Kylar, your beautiful, sweet Kylar… You slowly trace his inner arm, feeling how he trembled under your touch, before grabbing his wrist and pulling it down so that the book no longer covered his face from your view.

“Kylar, I love you too,” you confessed with a smile.

His breath caught in his throat as if he couldn’t believe his ears. After a few moments, he gulped to stutter out, “W-what? I— Are you telling the truth?”

“Of course,” you replied, before placing his hand on your chest. “Can’t you feel it? My heart is beating for you, and only for you.”

Kylar gripped your school blouse and stepped towards you, mouth agape. “I-it’s so quick— I-I—” He closed his eyes out of frustration before looking up at you hopefully. “Do you really love me that much?”

His adorableness might just be your new weakness, and you found that you didn’t mind. You pull him into your embrace, passionately kissing his mouth. Kylar squeaked in surprise, although he didn’t reject you. Instead, when he realized what was going on, his grip on your shirt tightened and he very excitedly deepened the kiss. He was very unskillful, using much more tongue than necessary. The fact that your face was being slobbered on by someone who most likely hadn’t brushed their teeth didn’t matter as much as the fact that you might be taking your love’s first kiss.

Kylar had always been so tiny compared to you, and although you’d known this since you first met him, all the way back when he was being bullied, holding him in your arms made it feel real. Like you really could gobble him whole—and he would allow you, wouldn’t he—and that made you feel hot

Finally, you let go. It was cute how he looked like a fish without water, his mouth chasing your face as if it wasn’t ready to part despite the fact that he was out of breath.

“Sweetheart, we’ll be late to class,” you remind him for once. Normally, he was the one who’d be stepping away from your flirtations, but today, he didn’t even hear the bell ring.

When he checked his watch and realized that you were right, he sprung up in panic. “I— I—” he stuttered, obviously knowing that he had to leave but not wanting to. You smile. Wanting to cut him some slack, you gave him a hug and a peck on his cheek. His face reddened like he instantly got a severe sunburn.

You know that he needed the certainty that he owned you, so you told him: “We’re boyfriends now, so I’ll pick you up at the park later, okay? Let’s go on a date.”

“R-really?!” he said, still in disbelief although the proof of your love was already prominent on his swollen lips.

“Of course, when have I ever lied to you? Now off you go. Be good, okay?”

Kylar bit his lip as he took a good look at you. Right before scurrying off, he gave you one last quick peck that landed more on your cheek than your lips. Smiling at his retreating back, you traced your lips while swearing that you would make sure he would never feel insecure in your relationship again.
