Summary
“Are you suicidal or mentally challenged?”
The woman’s voice is deeper than Vi was expecting, and she folds her arms across her chest as she speaks. She’s well-dressed, a flawlessly-pressed white shirt rolled at her elbows. A pair of sunglasses rests atop her head, pushing dark blue hair out of her face.
“That’s on me,” Vi pants. “Sorry, I was–”
“Oh, you’re American. That answers that, then.” Vi feels her mouth fall open. “Do try to look both ways next time. I know it’s a lot to remember, but I’d really rather not have to pick your entrails out of the radiator. Bloody Yank.”
The blue haired bitch is climbing back into her car and driving away before Vi can come up with a response.

When Vander convinces her to work with him on her trip to England, Vi thinks the hardest part about working in a pub will be making cocktails.
When she meets the highly abrasive general manager, however, she realises she may have made a huge mistake.
Far from the States and increasingly homesick, Vi will need to decide what's really important to her. She'll also need to learn to pull an acceptable pint.
