Jake had always observed Sunoo from a distance, without knowing exaclty why, but for some time now, he had felt curious about his bandmate. Even though they shared activities and a schedule, Jake had felt distant from Sunoo, developing a special interest in him. Wanting to get closer to the younger, Jake decided to start spending more time with him and gain his trust. He started with small actions like teasing him, making silly jokes to make him laugh, accompanying him on walks to the apartment, making midnight visits to a convenience store, asking about his well-being, and caring whether he had eaten.
Over time, jake earned Sunoo’s trust, and they became so close that he even traded his video game and ramyeon nights for spending time with Sunoo, letting the younger decide every activity they would do, gladly accepting as long as he could see him happy. He loved listening to him talk for hours about his favorite things, like the latest drama he had been watching, where he complained about the protagonist’s ‘foolish’ actions, and anything else he wanted to talk about or tell him, until Jungwon, their group’s leader and roommate, silenced them for being awake so late at night.

Jake, Sunoo, and Jungwon arrived at their shared apartment after a long day at work. Jungwon, interrupting the conversation Jake and Sunoo had been having since the car ride home, told them:
—I’m tired of you two. I’m going for a walk in the park, and I’ll spend the rest of the day visiting my family. Don’t wait for me, tonight I need a break from you.
Jake and Sunoo just looked at each other and nodded, saying bye to their leader and friend. Sunoo happily continued talking to Jake about his daily, weekly, and monthly skincare routine as they headed to what had become their special place: the younger’s room.
After several minutes sitting on the floor of the room, during which Sunoo talked and talked non-stop about his routines and products, he began putting away the ones he had shown to Jake in their proper place, until he realized he had been talking to himself and turned to look at his hyung, who seemed lost in a daydream, staring blankly at Sunoo.
—Eh… Is something wrong?— he said, kinda confused.
Jake, still so immersed in how pretty looked to him, answered without thinking:
—You look so pretty that I want to kiss you—.
Sunoo automatically blushed; Jake’s words made his stomach turn.
—Then do it— he answered almost instantly in an unconcerned tone, staring at him—. You have my permission to do it—.
—Ah! What are you saying, Sunoo!?— Jake responded automatically, snapping out of his daydream, feeling somewhat overwhelmed and embarassed by his recent words and Sunoo’s response—. N-no, that’s not what I meant to say. I’m sorry.
Sunoo, seeing his hyung nervous after his unexpected confession, found the situation funny and decided to tease him a little.
—What did you say, Jakey-hyung? So you don’t think I’m *sooo pretty* enough for you to want to kiss me?— he said, slowly approaching him, giving him an adorable gaze and pouting his lips.
—Sunoo-yah…—, was the only thing Jake managed to say, having Sunoo so close and looking so adorable.
Both were so close that they could even feel each other's breath. Jake completely inhaled Sunoo’s intoxicating scent—the one he loved so much and that drove him crazy for the younger. Sunoo decided to take another small step, getting even closer to Jake until their noses slightly touched, and said:
—Will you do it, hyung?
But he didn’t get any response from the older one, so he started to slowly move away from him.
Jake didn’t let Sunoo get away, not when he had him so close and loved the feeling of their breaths mixing and their noses touching. Without thinking too much, he took Sunoo’s face between his hands and planted a deep and tender kiss on the younger’s lips. As soon as they separated from what was supposed to be their first kiss, they looked into each other’s eyes, and Sunoo quickly stole a kiss from Jake’s lips—an action that made the older laugh and blush.
—I like you so much, Sunoo-yah— Jake confessed, looking into Sunoo’s eyes.
—Am I really so pretty that you like me and want to kiss me?— Sunoo asked in a teasing tone.
Jake found Sunoo’s question both cute and funny. Looking at him with a sweet gaze, and almost in a whisper, he answered:
—Of course, Sunoo. You’re so pretty that I like you and want to kiss you, hug you, and cuddle with you forever.
After that first kiss (and the second one stolen by Sunoo), they shared their feelings for each other, reaching an agreement to start dating officially and, in the future, establish a formal relationship.
