Chapter Text
Tomáš Vrbada is Tuxedo Mask's biggest fan.
Tuxedo Mask is a enigmatic pop star from the Swiss Alps, her songs reflect love, mystery, stars, and the great cold North.
The songs are also powerful, motivating, sensual.
Her real name is Hesperia Sverre, except no one knows that just yet.
Tomáš has all of Tuxedo Mask's albums, even special editions, posters, figures, merchandise, too.
He's such a big fan that his brothers Bi Han and Kuai Liang tease him over it. Even little Hanzo Hasashi, a boy they discovered in the forest and taken in, gets in on the teasing.
Tomáš can admit to being a little bad, sneaking out of the Lin Kuei village to catch her shows when she's in town. He thinks he's not caught, but Bi Han always knows.
Her most recent show, Tomáš even made eye contact from his place in the crowd, melting in joy, her piercing gaze in those verdant green eyes through her mask freezing him in place despite his joy.
He was informed of a contest. Her management put together a contest, the winner gets to spend a day with Tuxedo Mask.
Tomáš knew, a contest like this had a one in a million shot to win. Terrible odds. Odds that Tomáš wasn't sure he was willing to fight against. Sure, he can fight evil sorcerers, reptilian ninjas, demon sisters and vampires with wings, but this?
Bi Han persuaded him to put an entry in.
"What's the worst that could happen?" the eldest Lin Kuei asked, "you don't win? You'll never know if you don't try."
Tomáš smiled. His brother's words spoke true. Tomáš couldn't win if he didn't try.
And so, he put in an entry with a silent prayer. His brothers prayed, too.
As much as they tease him, all they wanted was his happiness.
When the winner of the contest was announced a week later, Tomáš couldn't believe it.
Against all odds, he won the contest.
He stared at the screen on his phone for what felt like forever, reading every word, every letter.
Winner.
Tomáš Vrbada.
His heart beat anew every time he read the screen.
He couldn't believe it.
He won!
A whole day with Tuxedo Mask!
And she's playing Fengjian next week.
Tomáš scrambled around his room, his thoughts racing. What will he wear, what will he say? He was floating and also crashing at the same time, excited and terrified.
He was so deep in his thoughts that he didn't notice his brothers and Hanzo break into his room with smiles and cheers.
They were celebrating his win, Bi Han and Kuai Liang even lifting him on their shoulders, laughing and cheering, while Hanzo bounced along with them.
When they put him down, Bi Han clapped his shoulder with pride beaming on his face, a rare show of emotion.
"I knew you'd win. I'm glad I pushed you." he said.
Tomáš smiled. "I don't think I could have done it without your persuasion. I'm so grateful.."
"And now look, you're a winner, and you get to spend time with your favorite celebrity." Kuai Liang said with a smile.
Hanzo looked at the small shrine in Tomáš's room; the posters, the memorabilia, the figures and albums, then smirked, "Tomáš is going to creep her out with all this."
"Oh come on!" Tomáš said, "I'm not that bad.."
"Yeah, it's not like you're asking to sniff her panties like that one guy..the last guy who interviewed her." Bi Han said.
"He did what?" Kuai Liang asked, covering Hanzo's ears.
"Tomáš and I were reading an interview, and the guy got real fresh with her. Even I was mad at that and I don't even know her." Bi Han said.
"Anyway, you'll be fine, Tomáš, don't lose your pants." he added, waving his hand.
"What should I say? What should I do?" Tomáš asked.
"Just show her you, Tomáš. The authentic Tomáš Vrbada." Kuai Liang said.
"But what if I mess up? What if she doesn't like me?" Tomáš asked.
"Then that's on her. You've always been loyal and true. You can't fault yourself on that." Kuai Liang said.
"Besides, you're the coolest guy ever, she'll love you." Hanzo said.
As the hours passed, the four strategized in Tomáš's bedroom.
They suggested outfits for him, practiced speaking, etiquette, and how to acclimate him into city life, pulling him out of his Lin Kuei persona for a few hours.
As they planned, Tomáš began to grow more confident.
With his brothers' support, there wasn't anything he couldn't do. He was grateful for them.
He felt confident, ready.
He just hoped he wouldn't fall flat on his face.
