It was the first day after the extraction of All-Knowing and All-Agony.
"Guard-san, forgive Muu-san."
Haruka said to Es today too.
"Again? I already told you that this won't work."
Haruka pouted and walked away, leaving Es standing there confused. That was everything he wanted to say? He truly was an odd one.
The next day happened the same thing.
"Guard-san, please forgive Muu-san."
"Quit it, your constant asking won't change the results."
Es replied as they sighed deeply. This time, Haruka glared at them and walked away.
The next say it happeend once again.
"Guard-san, please forgive Muu-san."
"Will you leave me alone for once!? I told you to stop!"
Es complained as they were doing the prisoners' laundry.
"No!"
This time Haruka didn't leave and just crossed his arms.
"Forgive her!"
"No! Go away! I haven't even extracted her memories!"
"Hmpf!"
Finally Haruka left. He was being very stubborn. He was a little too dedicated on this.
The next day, he came to Es again. This time he was with Muu.
"Guard-san, please forgive Muu-san."
"Yeah! Forgive Muu-chan! Haruka doesn't want to eat because the Guard is a meanie!"
Es facepalmed themselves, they were so tired of dealing with this already.
"And? Does he think I care? He's hurting himself, not me! I don't give a fuck!"
Es replied in a very annoyed way, at which Haruka seemed a little hurt. To think that one of his saviors was now treating him like this...
"Hmpf! Let's leave the Guard alone, Haruka. They're not worth our time!"
"O-Okay."
And they walked away together. Es didn't exactly feel bad, but it didn't feel all that nice treating Haruka like that.
Yet, he was back again the next day. Luckily he was alone.
Haruka didn't say anything. He just stared at Es with a pout and with arms crossed.
"...Again? You never quit, huh?"
Haruka didn't answer.
"Stop being a creep and leave me alone!"
He didn't answer again.
"Ugh!"
This time it was Es to leave. Haruka didn't move from his spot until Es disappeared in another room of the prison.
The next day Haruka didn't bother Es. They felt relieved, he must've got tired of doing that bullshit everyday.
The day after that it was the same. No Haruka in sight. But Shidou came up to them.
"Hey, Es-kun... Has something happened between you and Sakurai-kun? I heard from Kusunoki-kun that he has shut himself in his room..."
Great. He has done what, now?
"First, I told you not to call me like that. Second, nothing happened between me and the prisoner 001. He's doing all this on this own."
"Ah... alright... I'll go back to Shiina-kun, then. See you later."
Shidou excused himself and walked away. Yet, all of this made Es worried. He was shutting himself in too, now?
Another day went by, and Haruka didn't come out of his room. This got Es even more worried.
"Prisoner 004, how is 001 doing?"
"Haruka is alright, hmpf!"
How annoying was she...
"Alright..."
"This is all your fault, stupid Guard! Haruka is sad because of you!"
"Because of me!? Can you hear yourself when you talk!? I did nothing!"
"That's a lie! You don't want to forgive Muu-chan!"
"Quit with this bullshit already! Are you atleast bringing him food!?"
"Muu-chan does, because she is amazing. But Haruka doesn't want to eat. It's like Muu-chan is wasting all her efforts!"
Es wanted to kill themselves. Could she NOT think about herself for a little? Does she think that this is a game?
"Whatever you say."
Es regretted even starting a conversation with Muu. They left as soon as they could, not able to put up with her attitude anymore.
This night, though, out of worry, Es found themselves knocking on Haruka's room door. The boy opened slightly, and when he saw the guard, his eyes narrowed.
"Guard-san. W-Why are you here?"
"Let me in, Haruka..."
"W-Why should I? It's c-clear that you hate me."
"...Just let me in."
And here again, Es was regretting their choices. But... they couldn't let something bad happen to yet another prisoner, not under their watch, at least.
Begrudgingly, Haruka opened the door of his room to Es, which came in with a warm contenitor with food inside. The sight surprised Haruka greatly.
Es put the things on Haruka's bed and sat on it, patting the spot next to them.
"Come on Haruka, you have to eat."
Haruka gulped a little but nodded, sitting next to Es.
"W-What did you bring?"
"Hamburg Steak. And cotton candy too."
"H-Huh!?"
Now he was truly shocked. Es... Es knows what he likes to eat!? And now they were grabbing a piece of the Hamburg Steak and... with their hand under the fork, they were feeding it to him...
"Come on, eat."
"O-Okay..."
Haruka gently took the bite from the fork, enjoying the taste of the food. In these last days he forgot how good food was.
"Is it good?"
Es asked as he grabbed another piece and gently positioned the fork in front of Haruka's mouth.
"M-Mhm..."
As soon as Haruka swallowed the bite he took the other one.
"You have to eat, Haruka. Never do that shit again, you hear me?"
Haruka swallowed and nodded.
"Alright Guard-san..."
Es kept gently feeding him, almost enjoying how the boy was obeying right now. Soon, Haruka had eaten the whole Hamburg Steak, and Es even bothered to gently clean his lips with a tissue. It made Haruka almost tear up... being pampered like this was heavenly. Why did the Guard have to be asleep in-between trials? Not even Muu treated him like this.
"I'm leaving now."
"Ah..."
Es got up and grabbed the contenitor back, leaving the one with cotton candy on the bed.
"A-And that one?"
"It's for you. Don't eat too much or you'll get a stomachache. See you tomorrow, Haruka."
Es said before leaving Haruka to himself.
The boy smiled, grabbing the cotton candy package and started eating some. The sweetness improved his mood greatly.
The next day, Haruka went out of his cell and seemed calmer than usual. Probably because the guard had proven him that they don't actually hate him.
And for the sake of not being hated, the boy refrained from asking the same thing over and over again.
Did it still matter if Muu was forgiven? Es loved him too.
