Chapter Text
Oh Sehun(19) is a first year student of modern dance in Seoul National University. Sehun loved dancing. Although he never had formal training before joining SNU, he was hardworking and picked up choreography easily as he was naturally rhythmic. His father at first protested against becoming a professional dancer as he wanted his only son to become a doctor but after seeing Sehun’s dedication and hard work he helped him to get admission. You see, Sehun’s father was a personal secretary to the Crown Prince Kim Jaejoong of the royal family. Although S.Korea is a democracy now, the royal families were still given their due respect in the country. Thus, Mr. Oh was able to pull strings to get Sehun admitted. Since both the sons of the Crown Prince Jaejoong studied in SNU, it was easier for Sehun’s application to be processed. Mr. Oh wanted Sehun to look after the Princes discreetly as they never had bodyguards accompanying them on campus. Although Sehun outrightly refused to spy on the Princes albeit discreetly he was secretly happy to be closer to them. Actually one of them. To be precise, the Elder Prince Kim Junmyeon.
The Elder Prince Kim Junmyeon studied music in SNU. Both the Princes joined university a later so inspite of being 22 years of age Prince Junmyeon was still in 3rd year. He was fair and handsome, smart and intelligent and polite and kind just like the Crown Prince Kim Jaejoong. It was not difficult to fall irrevocably in love with Junmyeon. And it just so happens everyone on campus including the teachers and students, both male and female were in love with him. He made anyone in his presence comfortable and at ease. You never felt that you are in the presence of royalty. And that’s how Prince Junmyeon ended up being Oh Sehun’s crush and first love. Sehun’s first meeting with Prince Junmyeon was when he was 5 years old. He had just lost his mother to a terrible car accident. His father never recovered after losing his love but working kept Mr. Oh insane and gave him a purpose to bring up Sehun single handedly. Sehun was new to the concept of Princes and royal family so he was not forbidden to enter the royal palace and the Princes chambers. Prince Junmyeon was the first one to meet him.
Little Sehun missed his mother and was found crying in the garden in front of a rose bush. Prince Junmyeon heard him crying and tried to pacify him.
“What happened Sehun?”
“Rose. My mama’s rose.” The tiny boy hiccuped with tears. Junmyeon hugged the boy and patted his back.
“I know your mama is in heaven. Look up. See that cloud. She lives there. That’s where angels live. When you miss her, look up and smile and she will smile back.” Junmyeon says with great conviction. He is too smart for a 7 year old boy.
“Really?”
“Yes.”
“How do you know?”
“My daddy also lives there. So I know.” Prince YunHo, Jaejoong’s husband died two years ago in a plane crash. The Crown Prince Jaejoong, raised his sons alone since his demise.
“Oh” Sehun stopped crying.
“Here. A gift for you.” Prince Junmyeon gave him a candy.
Sehun instantly brightened up and gladly accepted the gift. He immediately opened the wrapper and popped the candy in his mouth. Junmyeon found him cute and adorable.
“Come. Let’s go inside and play.”
And so Prince Junmyeon and Sehun became good friends. Sehun doesn’t remember when the friendship ended and when he developed a crush on Junmyeon and when it turned into love. When Prince Junmyeon left home for university, Sehun was devastated. He promised himself that he will somehow get into the same university as him. The night before Prince Junmyeon had to leave for university, he held a informal party just for his friends at their beach villa in Busan. Prince Junmyeon was to fly directly to SNU from the villa in Jeju. All his friends from school and also his brother’s friends were invited. And of course Sehun too. Sehun chose his best outfit for the party. He wore a black half sleeve T-shirt under a grey blazer and matching grey trousers. He had recently cut and styled his hair in a high end salon which costed him a month’s allowance but it was worth it. It accentuated his face nicely.
The only make up he wore that night was a black eyeliner giving him a mysterious yet alluring eyes. He smiled at his reflection and sprayed a light vanilla perfume and stepped out of the guest room. He went directly to the pool house next door where the action was happening. He sees Prince Junmyeon surrounded by his admirers. He tries to get his attention but fails miserably. Frustrated he starts to down the first drink near his table. It was whiskey which burns his throat and tears up his eyes. It was his first hard drink unless if you count couple of beers. Not wanting the heady feeling to go away, he downs another drink which the bartender had prepared for another. His head spins. Sehun slowly walks towards the Prince when he sees him heading towards his bedroom upstairs. Sehun follows him upstairs. It is difficult to climb the stairs in his condition as the drink has hit him hard. Due to his nervousness he hadn’t had lunch. Sehun tries to squeeze his eyes to clear his blurred vision but it doesn’t help much. Finally he reaches the Prince’s bedroom.
He knocks on the door, only to find it open. Sehun wobbles in to find a king size bed right in the middle. He turns to see the Prince facing the balcony. He is tall and has a broad back. He seems huge. There is a slight hesitation in his step but Sehun pushes forward. He had played it a million times in his mind but never thought it would actually happen. What he was about to do is not only out of character for Sehun but if he was sober, he would never do it. The drinks has given him sudden boldness and made him feel brave. It’s now or never. Sehun is going to seduce Prince Junmyeon this very night.
