Work Text:
Just an au idea I had where Mikey goes nuts after his brothers "die" in an explosion during a battle with the Shredder and he somehow turns that rage against the Shredder, but unlike that old man, he settles his vendetta before Saki even realizes he's in for it now, and the Shredder ends up as a limbless pile of pain and suffering rotting away in his own dungeon, he had mocked Mikey's integrity as a ninja, calling him a disgrace, so Mikey turned that on him, after all, ninjas don't kill, so no matter what happened or what Mikey did to him, he wouldn't let Saki die, specially after he recruited Baxter Stockman who was way more into working without being under constant life threats, same for Dogpound, I mean... Chris Bradford, yep, Mikey gave him a second chance, more because he liked the idea of having his favorite martial arts actor as his personal companion, which Mikey translated to claiming they're married, Chris wasn't too into the idea until Mikey brought some retromutagen out and basically bribed him into accepting his "proposal", after all, he gained a lot from this, he could get back into acting, restart his career all in exchange of just putting up with Michelangelo's weirdly obsessive affection, it seems like when he lost his family he just latched onto whatever else he could get his hands on, of course, not without monitoring and micromanaging his relationships to make sure he stays in control of the situation this time.
I am really not sure about what would happen if his brothers or even his father came back, let alone his friends and allies, would he pretend everything is normal and go along with them to the sewers just to keep the illusion? Would he just be unapologetically honest about everything? Maybe a middle ground of these options? Or who knows??? Maybe something completely different could happen.
All I know I'd like to see for this fic is things like
*Baxter having mixed feelings about Shredder's deplorable state but not disobeying or hesitating before prolonging his pain.
*Mikey at some point telling Leo "wouldn't you try your shot if Captain Ryan was real?" If his brothers felt awkward about his "engagement" with Bradford.
*Karai just leaving all of Saki's state to Michelangelo after lying that he was dead using an urn with his burnt remains (which were just his limbs), she did this not only to tear down the foot as a whole but also to disassociate herself with it by handing it all to Michelangelo, she knows that he defeated Saki but doesn't know the extent it went after she left to try a new life.
