If love was a person, it would be Park Sunghoon.
There was no one in the world that could make Jake feel the way he does when he’s with Sunghoon. From the way he selflessly gave his all to Jake, protected him from anything that could hurt him, and made sure he always felt like he was cared for, Sunghoon was the person that could give Jake anything.
After being friends for three years, they were practically already dating. There was no grand gesture of asking each other out; they just decided that they were going to get together, and they’ve been in love ever since.
Not only was Sunghoon kind, but he was thoughtful. He knew Jake inside and out—his likes and dislikes, all of his small quirks. Jake felt special knowing that Sunghoon paid so much attention to him. Whenever Sunghoon saw something related to Pokémon or whatever anime Jake was watching and sent it to him, it would make Jake’s day.
Jake took all of Sunghoon’s love and let it run through his veins, giving him strength and a reason to go on. With Sunghoon by his side, he could do anything.

“Jaeyun-ah,” Sunghoon called out, stroking his long fingers through Jake’s brown hair. “What do you want to do today?”
Jake was curled into Sunghoon on the couch, his head pressed against Sunghoon’s chest. The steady rhythm of his heart beating kept Jake grounded, reminding him of Sunghoon’s presence beside him.
Badum, badum, badum.
“I just want to stay here with you today, Hoonie.” Jake smiled, the corners of his lips upturned, creating the catlike smile that Sunghoon found so adorable in his boyfriend. “As long as you’re here, I’m happy.”
Sunghoon’s heart swelled with affection, as it often did with Jake. Not only was he adorable, but he was also insanely sweet to his boyfriend, making Sunghoon want to wrap him up and protect him from anything bad in the world.
Sunghoon planted a gentle kiss on the crown of Jake’s head before quickly untangling himself from their cocoon of blankets, earning a small whine from Jake. He made his way to the kitchen, followed by Jake who dragged his feet until his chest was flush against Sunghoon’s back, snaking his long arms around the taller boy’s slender waist.
He leaned into Jake’s embrace, fully accepting the warmth off of Jake’s body while he began washing dishes, even the most mundane tasks were enjoyable when Jake was there.
“Hoonie-“ Jake called out in a singsong voice trying to catch his boyfriend’s attention, “come back to watch tv with me.” Sunghoon simply chuckled, in his low deep voice that Jake loved so much. Turning around, he placed both of his hands on either side of Jake’s face, his lips naturally parting as Jake’s magnetic pull brought their lips together in a sweet, tender kiss. Their foreheads gently pressed together, Sunghoon’s bare forehead gently tickled by Jake’s dark bangs, causing him to smile into Jake’s mouth, unable to contain the happiness that he felt.
Sunghoon could kiss Jake forever. His lips were soft, full, and plush. They were like a drug that Sunghoon was hopelessly addicted to, he wanted them to be the first thing he saw when he opened his eyes, and the last thing he saw before he lulled off to dreamland, to hopefully see them even in his sleep.
He pulled away from the kiss, his forehead resting against Jake’s. He couldn’t believe how lucky he was to have him as his and his only. His Jake. If Sunghoon could freeze this moment forever, he would. He would bottle up the warm feeling he felt when he was with Jake and hold it close—his most cherished possession.
