Work Text:

"I seriously don't think this is a good idea." Osamu said over his shoulder, looking at the screen of his phone with the boy's profile open.

But Atsumu just clicked his tongue, silencing his twin. Kageyama and he had ended their relationship less than a month ago, when he noticed certain strange behaviors in the blue-haired boy and when he confronted him, he found out that the guy had started getting to know someone else, that nothing had happened, but that he was no longer interested in their relationship.

It didn't affect him as much as he would have thought. Yes, their relationship had been something that took a backseat as soon as his career took off completely and he hit the jackpot with the most listened-to song of the year, an equally successful album, and more. The more he grew, the busier he became, and amidst so many concerts, interviews, and other projects, he and Kageyama set their relationship aside.

He still didn't think it was fair to be treated that way, not when he had been with Tobio during difficult times and their relationship, no matter how turbulent it had been, had been filled with love. The boy doesn't consider it infidelity, but Atsumu does.

"Do you have a better revenge in mind?" He said to his brother but without looking at him, staring at his phone. How is it that someone so famous has so few photos?

"We can say that he does drugs." I have contacts who can forge anything." Suna, his best friend who had been listening to the entire conversation from the beginning until Osamu invited himself into the conversation, believes he can just because they live together.

"Nobody cares!" He whined, now looking up. "He's an actor, it's rare to see an actor who doesn't do drugs."

"Well, we can say that he sells drugs—"

"Ruining his career isn't a good idea either." And besides, it's difficult, considering that he's almost untouchable now. He rolled his eyes. Osamu, the blue-haired one, had had success after success at the box office in recent years and was nominated for who knows how many awards this year. "The film industry must be something entirely different."

"Of course not, Atsumu is a singer but he sure knows how to fake an apology when he's being canceled on Twitter." Suna joked, only to have a pillow thrown at his face by an angry blonde while Osamu laughed.

"Shut up!" He shouted angrily, but the couple kept laughing, especially the taller brunette with his hyena like laugh.

"It's like you want to get back with him after this, if you're putting so much effort into thinking of a revenge." Suna said now more calmly.

"Ew, no." He felt a shiver run through his body just thinking about it. "I just want to mess with him, that's all. I don't give second chances to cheaters."

"Well—"

“No.”

"Anyway, it's just showing up a couple of times with the paparazzi in front of him, trending for a few days, and sleeping with that athlete he likes... uh..." Atsumu was left thinking. "Sukuna, Sakura..."

"Sakusa." Suna corrected him and snapped his fingers with a triumphant smile. "That one!" He exclaimed joyfully, but Osamu's face showed complete confusion and even fear.

"Moment." He shook his hands. "An athlete? Sakusa Kiyoomi?" He asked, and Atsumu nodded frantically, his blonde hair bouncing. "Do you want to sleep with the Black Jackals' pitcher?" He made a face when he said it.

"What's wrong with it? He's cute." He pouted and swore that Osamu had to muster all his strength not to jump on him.

"He's an idiot!" Don't you read the news?

"I didn't know you were a baseball fan, Samu." The boyfriend squeezed the mentioned person's cheeks tightly, with a playful smile.

"Not really, but news of that guy always comes out and I can't remember a single one saying a good thing. He's always answering poorly to reporters and some fans. I don't know how he can be a starter with that attitude." Atsumu didn't say anything in response to that beyond a grunt and a shrug of indifference.

Of course, he has read news, he never looks for it, but sometimes Kageyama would talk about it or the athlete's name would appear on his homepage for some behavior they had, but he never paid much attention to it. The media always exaggerate the facts and portrayed the guy as a public enemy when he probably just made a mistake or was doing things to annoy on purpose, and Atsumu thinks it's funny if it's the latter.

The media and the general public have also treated him that way, and he thinks he isn't as bad a person as they made him out to be at first, so he isn't one to judge someone without knowing them, which is why ignoring what his brother said was the best option. And also because this is the only thing that can annoy his ex. Ruining his favorite celebrity forever, he could even post a photo with the athlete's penis in his mouth if necessary.

"It's not like it matters much and he's cute, so much better." Besides, it would do him good to go out with me a couple of times, wouldn't it?

"To suffer from migraines?"

"The public thinks well of me now, if they see us go out together a couple of times, they will surely change their perception of him a bit." A little." He smiled at her perfect excuse, even though he didn't really need one.

"You just want a fair excuse to hook up with him and say it was for both of our benefit." Osamu slapped his forehead with disappointment on his face.

"Yeah, that's it." Without further ado, he pressed the 'follow' button on the athlete's profile and quickly proceeded to like two recent photos and one old one, or not so old, seriously, he has few posts and only one of his face. He showed his phone with the evidence to the couple, and Suna let out a laugh along with Osamu with a grunt.

"What now? Pray to the stars for them to follow you back and fall at your feet asking for a date?" Suna asked with his classic sarcastic smile before interrupting himself. "Ah, no, he doesn't seem like the type to beg." Looks like you're going to have to hurt your ego for the fifth time today and ask him out yourself.

"Another blow to the ego? It's like taking the air out of your lungs." Osamu leaned back against the sofa while the dark brown-haired one ran his hands through his hair affectionately. Atsumu made a face of disgust.

He admitted that he was getting more nervous with each passing minute, thinking that maybe his plan wasn't as good as he thought, maybe he should do something else to get closer to the pitcher or consider another option instead, but nothing would be the same, his leg bouncing with nerves until a miracle happened and his prayers were answered. His phone lit up with the arrival of the notification that would make him form the most radiant and biggest smile he ever had.

The couple in front of them interrupted their conversation about him and focused on the blonde's phone, showing the triumphant notification while Suna and Osamu fell silent in surprise, one more enthusiastic than the other.

— sk.kiyoomi has started following you.

It's not that he hates these events; on the contrary, he loves social events. He likes the attention of the cameras on him, the journalists behind him begging for a single interview, reuniting with several colleagues and friends he can't always see. But today he was tired and could really use the rest his brother insisted he take, but considering it's his best friend's birthday, a night of partying won't hurt, especially since a certain special guest will be attending.

When he asked his assistant if it was true, he said that it was actually an invitation to the Jackals themselves since Iwaizumi is their coach and apparently his partner is also personally friends with several players on the team. He just had to pray that Sakusa was at the party now that he was in front of the building with paparazzi outside his car, cameras ready, waiting for him to come out.

I didn't expect his first encounter with Sakusa to be like this, maybe something much more elaborate that Atsumu would plan to make it look as organic and spontaneous as possible, like running into each other in a bookstore (where he never goes) or a store (where he would never shop) and charming the black-haired guy with his charms, but this was what he had to work with.

When he got out of his car, he managed to dodge several journalists and paparazzi who rushed at him as soon as he stepped out and managed to enter the building without any problem. But to his bad luck, there were at least three reporters inside that he couldn't avoid, forcing a smile for interviews, and although he knew none of them had a camera, somewhere there was one, and it's better to be safe than sorry.

Just when I was on the second question of who knows how many, a savior appeared, a tall savior with raven hair and a suit that, although simple, did not detract from his attractiveness. It had some minimalist lace designs all over the fabric that made him look more elegant. The journalists were even more excited by his appearance and quickly began asking the other man next to him questions.

Atsumu looked up and swore his legs wobbled for a second when he realized he had the very Sakusa Kiyoomi by his side and worse yet, that he noticed his near fall and quickly grabbed him by the waist as if he were something precious about to be broken.

"Are you okay?" His voice was baritone but at the same time delicate. Atsumu was sure he was blushing now as he looked in surprise at Sakusa's face, because holy God, the photos online don't do justice to all the beauty the black-haired guy carries. It's almost absurd how divine he is in person.

"Um. Yes, thank you." He gently caressed the guy's wrist and with a flirtatious smile, or at least an attempt, his nerves were getting the better of him. This wasn't how he had imagined it, and he doesn't like not being in control of the situation.

Sakusa nodded understandingly and turned to the journalists who now had all their attention on them, but the black-haired one carefully pushed him away from them and then his bodyguards took him to where the party was. And not to deceive himself, but he felt a bit of sadness when he experienced the absence of the other person's hands.

He turned a couple of times to look at the athlete who seemed to be getting through it more easily than he could have. He smiled watching the taller one answer the questions with a serious expression and then went to find Oikawa, who decided that the best way to greet him was by giving him the most painful punch on the arm with enthusiasm.

"Happy birthday, dickface." He gave him a warm hug and resisted the urge to mess up the brown-haired guy's hair. He knew that one didn't play with his hair. "Are you having a good time or haven't the strippers been called yet?"

"Are you kidding me? As soon as I get out of here and get home, I'm going to burn all of Iwa's clothes and fuck for three days straight." Oikawa spoke with a smile on his face and without any shame as if what he was saying was nothing.

Atsumu pushed him lightly. "Ew! I don't need to know any of that. I can't be sober listening to your sadomasochistic adventures with your boyfriend." Although Atsumu has his own issues, he would rather cut off his ears than know what his best friend does in bed.

"Oh, yes, I forgot you were a Christian now, Mister 'I do a threesome in the middle of a concert.'" He made air quotes with his hands and when the waiter passed by with the tray of drinks, he took two glasses for both of them.

"Technically, it wasn't a threesome."

"Technically, I don't care." Atsumu rolled his eyes and noticed the brown-haired guy's gaze soften a bit. "I heard about Kageyama, is it true? Why didn't you tell me?" His voice, although it had an exaggerated complaining tone and a pout, I knew there was also concern in him.

"You were busy with so many things and didn't want to worry you." Oikawa was about to speak and Atsumu quickly covered his mouth. "Ah-ah. Don't get soft on me, Tooru. What happened, happened, and I've already gotten over it."

There, the brunette raised an eyebrow, intrigued, with a smile. "Really?" And can you tell me what exactly helped you get over it so quickly?

He saw from the side how the black-haired guy entered the party and was greeted by several of his team members and Oikawa's boyfriend, who seemed happier to see him. He had a minimal smile that he never showed to the media, as if it were something only his close ones had the privilege to see. Without realizing it, Atsumu had turned completely to watch him as he sat at his table and casually chatted with his teammates. "Or someone who helped you?" The actor's voice brought him down from the cloud and he turned blushing.

"Not yet, but it will soon." Oikawa squinted his eyes, trying to understand what he meant. Maybe after this, he'll explain the situation better to me. "Today I feel like I wanna top somebody’s world.”

"Ew." He let out a laugh before heading to the bar to order some drinks, Atsumu keeping a sex on the beach and the other in his left hand on his way to Sakusa's table, where his friends had just gotten up to go dance and he was left alone. It was perfect, not ideal and quite risky, but he could take the chance.

He slid the drink across the table, and the black-haired one turned to look at him with surprise and then curiosity; Atsumu smiled. "To thank you for what you did just now. Those reporters are a nuisance."

He seemed to hesitate whether to accept or not, but he tilted his head to the side and took the drink in his hands. "It's nothing. But I would have thought that a star like you loved being the center of attention." Atsumu chuckled lightly at the joke, at least he assumes it was a joke that it rarely made him laugh.

"I like it, but today I wasn't in the mood." I needed to have at least one more drop of alcohol in my system. He took a sip of his drink. "Good thing my prince charming came to my rescue."

"You don't look like a damsel in distress." He doesn't know when or how, but Sakusa had his arm on the back of his chair as if he wanted to hug him. Atsumu unconsciously leaned closer to him. "Although it was nice to see the Prince of Pop up close." His tone was mocking at the end, making Atsumu roll his eyes at the mention of the title.

"Don't tell me you read that article." A journalist who just wanted to stroke his ego more and ended up seeming almost like a mockery. Even for Atsumu, it was almost pathetic, although some fans don't seem to realize how irritating the title is. Maybe at another time he deserved it, but now he thinks it's too early.

"Everyone talks about you, you're the favorite of the world right now." He took a sip of his drink and Atsumu tried to ignore how smooth his voice sounded, he tried. "I didn't know who you were until my manager told me you started following me, I had to investigate and now I can't open any socials without seeing you."

Atsumu wanted to mask the blow to his ego upon hearing that Sakusa didn't know who he was. He knew of his existence all this time, and he never knew anything about him which is— ridiculous, almost. His songs play on the radio at least 3 times a day! His name feeds all the gossip forums and fills stadiums with his concerts.

"Don't frown so much, you'll get wrinkles." Sakusa spoke again as if he knew the emotional damage his words had caused.

"Well, at least it shows how much you've researched about me." He took a big sip from his glass and looked at the dark-haired man with a smile. The other held back a smile and tilted his head to the side to start recalling details about the blonde. "I only know the basics. You are from Osaka."

“Mhm.”

"You have a twin brother."

"Everyone knows that." Actually, not many, they seem to forget from time to time.

"You had a terrible blonde when you were younger."

"It's not true!"

"It is." Atsumu playfully tapped him on the leg, and the other smiled sideways. "You have a boyfriend." An actor." His voice was almost a whisper, but his expression was alert, waiting for a response from the blonde.

He sighed with a smile on his lips. "Had. You should look for more up-to-date information.

Their faces were getting closer and closer, and he couldn't believe he could think of anything else. There were reporters nearby, celebrities and friends everywhere, and someone might see them, everyone could be watching them at this moment and he didn't care. Sakusa didn't seem to care either if he didn't make an effort to move away, and Atsumu wouldn't let him.

"I think this is the first time I'm glad to be wrong about something." He didn't know if he could hold back another second with the penetrating gaze of the dark-haired guy on him. Atsumu knew he had the same intense desire in his gaze as the other, perhaps even more. He slid his hand down the other person's neck and pulled him towards himself, sealing their lips in an uncontrollable kiss.

Sakusa was careful with him, letting Atsumu take whatever he wanted with him, and it made him lose a bit of his sanity. He savored the soft mint flavor and had to resist the urge to open his mouth and beg the other to turn it into a more passionate kiss, although he had no doubt they would take that route soon.

He felt the taller man's hand gently touch his cheek and pull away from the kiss that was becoming increasingly addictive, even though no more than a few seconds had passed, which felt like an eternity. Brushing their noses and their breaths colliding, Sakusa had dilated pupils and was breathing heavily as if he were holding back the urge to kiss him again. If the athlete looked like this now, he didn't want to imagine how he would look in a mirror at this moment, but a smile had already escaped him upon seeing the other.

"Just— I have a question." His voice cracking at first, and he cleared his throat quickly. Atsumu bit his lip. "Those poses from your song. Uh… Juno."

Atsumu smiled slyly, knowing what Sakusa was referring to, tentatively caressing his leg with his other hand that kept rising and rising slowly. "I can show you some if you want, I'll give you a special deal." He gave her a small kiss on her jaw. The pitcher hissed, making him smile against his skin.

"I'll see you at the entrance in five minutes." He looked around and surprisingly no one was watching them, so he got up from the table. "Don't you dare take another minute." He warned, and the truth would be a lie to say that it didn't heat him up to hear it like that.

Atsumu let out a laugh, trying to hide the heat that was growing more and more. "I wouldn't dare to waste a single second with you, star." He winked playfully.

"Whatever." Sakusa rolled his eyes and seemed to revert to his usual personality. Atsumu smiled to himself and began mentally counting the minutes as he said goodbye to everyone at the party, and Oikawa bombarded him with questions that only had brief answers.

Sakusa waited for him at the entrance, and they both headed to the car, ignoring the paparazzi who were asking where they were going or taking photos. But Atsumu is a human being after all, and a very attractive one; he posed happily for the photos until he was interrupted by the black-haired one who pulled him by the waist and made him get into the car, Atsumu laughing at how hurried he was, and they immediately set off towards the athlete's house.

"You love attention so much." He growled against his neck, with one hand firmly gripping the blonde's thigh, the touch and warm breath against his neck making him sigh.

"I'm not going to be wearing these clothes for much longer, I should at least have a memory." Their lips were brushing, playfully teasing each other with the hunger to kiss, although Atsumu was not falling behind.

"I'm going to leave you with more memories of this night than just clothes." Their bodies were closer than before and their kiss was more fervent and passionate than before.

The foreign tongue invaded his oral cavity.

and he made the best effort to resist and try to take control, but Sakusa's talented hands roaming his body and his kisses made him melt into him, so he resorted to biting and kissing his neck, listening to the other's sighs while his hands possessively grabbed Atsumu's ass, making him gasp. Hopefully, they could get home without having finished yet.

He grunted at the sun's reflection against his face, wrinkling his nose as he slowly opened his eyes while turning his back to the window, immediately realizing how sore he was once he tried to sit up in bed. He ran his hand through his tousled blonde hair and yawned wearily.

Atsumu wasn't so drunk that he didn't know why he hadn't woken up in his room, nor to forget everything that had happened the night before. The memories of Sakusa with his bare torso on top of him while making him spread his legs wide and thrusting hard— Maybe he could think about this another time.

Something that caught his attention was the empty space beside him in the bed; he assumed it wasn't very early given the time, but he didn't stop to think that perhaps the athlete had gone off to do other things and had left him alone. "Nah." He said to himself, why would he leave him alone in his apartment? Which, by the way, was quite big and nice; being a pitcher must pay well.

He thought he might be in the bathroom, but there was no trace of the dark-haired guy except for his hair products, which were quite a few—too many—and a pleasant lavender scent. As soon as he finished washing his face and looked in the mirror, he opened his eyes in surprise and completely blushing.

He was covered in hickeys and bites from head to toe, especially on his neck and thighs, not to mention the marks of foreign hands on his waist and his chest also full of bites. His ass was no exception either, shining in a soft red that was surely much more intense last night. He never imagined that Sakusa could be that wild in bed, and although he wasn't drunk to the point of forgetting, he most likely fainted more times than he could count.

"I'm going to leave you with more memories from this night than just clothes." Sakusa's voice in his mind made him blush even more. Who would have thought he was so dedicated to making Atsumu remember him? He brushed his teeth and tidied up the mess of his hair a bit before leaving the bathroom.

He couldn't deny that the silence in the apartment was starting to worry him more and more. He thought he would hear something from the other bathroom because maybe Sakusa wanted to give him some privacy, but nothing, thinking he would find him in the kitchen like in any cliché movie where the attractive guy who seems like a jerk is actually a sweetheart inside and makes you breakfast.

But no, when he got closer he only saw a clean and empty kitchen, with no signs that anyone had done anything before. He sighed now annoyed because Atsumu didn't want to admit that deep down it hurt him. Maybe Sakusa doesn't seem like a jerk, he is a jerk. He bit his lower lip hard and took a deep breath, starting to walk back to the room to get his clothes and leave since he had no intention of extending his stay.

The noise of the front door opening made him turn quickly, his eyes fixed on him, seeing Sakusa enter with a brown bag, looking at him surprised yet curious with an arched eyebrow.

"Good morning." He said without annoyance in his tone. "I ordered breakfast." He lifted the bag and approached the counter. Atsumu didn't know how to react. He hadn't left, he hadn't left him alone nor did he intend to, and he looked for breakfast so they could eat together. Sakusa may seem like it, but he's not an idiot.

Even so. "Idiot."

"Excuse me?" He turned to look at him, offended, and Atsumu placed his hands on his hips.

"I thought you had left!"

"I didn't feel like cooking and I preferred to order something." He explained briefly and seemed to want to say something else but thought better of it before letting it slip. "Besides, you were sleeping and I didn't want to wake you up." His voice softened, and his cheeks now flushed, perhaps at the memory of the sleeping blonde.

Atsumu doesn't fall behind in blushing or noticing Sakusa's sideways smile upon seeing him. "Well, when I woke up and didn't see you, I thought you were going to leave me alone." He looked away, embarrassed.

"Only someone who's out of their mind would leave you alone." He moved closer to the blonde and carefully took his cheeks to give him a delicate kiss on the forehead.

"Yes, and someone who's a total savage would use me as a dog toy." He said with an annoyed tone without pulling away from the other's touch. "I have an interview in two days! The makeup doesn't cover all this."

"Don't complain, you did your part too." He rolled his eyes, and although he was now wearing a t-shirt, he could see some hickeys and bruises on Sakusa's neck that could never be mistaken for anything else, already wanting to know how his back had turned out. Atsumu smiled.

"Heh, it's not my fault you're so irresistible." He squeezed the black-haired guy's cheek and he let him, even though his face said he hated every second. "Ugh, I'm hungry." Let's have breakfast, Omi-Omi.

Sakusa turned violently red to the tips of his ears. "Don't call me that again." He said through clenched teeth, but Atsumu burst out laughing as he walked to the counter and the other started making some coffee. The morning continued to unfold normally, with the blonde one eventually offering to make the coffee since the other had never tried an espresso.

What was strange was how simple and domestic it felt, almost as if there was no problem with the fact that yesterday they didn't know each other and today they were acting like lifelong friends, or worse, a couple. And I couldn't deny the good chemistry that existed between them, even in bed. Talking to Sakusa was easy and pleasant, and even though their personalities and professions were different, it seemed like neither could lose the thread and they could always keep talking or teasing each other.

Obviously, Atsumu had to leave, no matter how much it hurt to leave behind an apartment with a beautiful view and an even more beautiful man. But he is a busy man and at least he should go home to change clothes, so he said goodbye to Sakusa and left his apartment, not before blowing him a kiss, and the other just rolled his eyes and swatted him away like a fly, making him laugh.

As soon as he got home and finally looked at his phone, he found several messages from his team, manager, and various friends like Oikawa and Suna, the latter sending him several links to articles mentioning his departure from Tooru's birthday with Sakusa and that they had left together in the same car to who knows where.

Then, he sent an image that was none other than a screenshot of Sakusa's profile with a recent post featuring the same coffee he had made for breakfast. It was a simple photo, without any appeal or charm, but once he saw the description, he let out a laugh to ignore the heat he felt in his cheeks for a second and quickly commented, this will probably make more people talk about it, but he couldn't care less.

The next few months were perhaps—not, he is sure they were the best of his life.

After that morning together, they continued seeing each other despite their busy schedules. At first, it was all somewhat sexual, ending either in his apartment or the raven’s, having a good time and waking up next to each other. He felt weak every time Sakusa caressed his body and became more skilled at turning him into a mess each time they went to bed together again. He didn't complain; it was also nice to be able to kiss him until he sighed and feel how he got hard with a simple kiss.

As time went by, the encounters where they only used to explore each other's bodies became something simpler, more innocent, like a simple movie night or an ordinary dinner. Atsumu had to teach Sakusa several board games and quickly regretted it when he started winning more often, but he likes seeing how the other can't contain a smile when he's about to win and how he looks at him with admiration when the blonde celebrates winning.

He remembers when one day he suggested going to the next game against the Adlers wearing the jersey with the black-haired player's number. Sakusa stood there looking at him, not knowing how to respond other than to show his cheeks getting redder and redder. "Do whatever you want." He wanted to act as if it didn't matter, but his voice betrayed him. Atsumu thought it was cute to see him so shy in front of him and couldn't resist approaching and kissing him, smiling against his lips. And from that moment on, the kisses they had reserved for their passionate nights became the norm every time they saw each other.

For months, they met in secret from everyone else. Caresses under the sheets, distracted kisses, and whispering words full of affection to each other. Sleeping and waking up together, eating together, and Atsumu took the joy of leaving several garments at Sakusa's place, who never asked him to take them back. Sometimes he was cooking or watching television while the other watched videos online and caught glimpses of his smile, one that could make him swoon or light up his entire life, and at one moment, Atsumu knew he wanted to be the cause of that smile, that only he should be the one to see it.

People aren't stupid either, and they know there's something between the two of them, but there's never any certainty about anything. In interviews, they never miss the opportunity to ask if they are in a relationship, and Atsumu, thanks to his charming personality, can deflect the question with a joke or two and a "If I were in a relationship, you would be the first to know." Unlike Sakusa, who would respond, "I won't say anything about my private life." Knowing perfectly well that that morning he had captured Atsumu in his arms and barely managed to get out of bed alive.

They weren't a relationship —no matter how much Atsumu fantasized that they were— but the chemistry and attraction between them couldn't be denied, and maybe he was just seeing it that way because he liked him, but he hoped that Sakusa thought of him as more than just someone who warmed the other side of the bed.

Sometimes, he imagines what it would be like to be able to call the athlete his boyfriend publicly, talk about him and their relationship in interviews, and show him off. That Sakusa goes to his concerts or Atsumu to his games and not be questioned about why they were there. Being able to wake up by his side without having to go home afterward and continue with his day, as if he didn't want to be in Sakusa's arms.

He glanced sideways at the other guy sitting next to him, focused on the movie they were supposed to be watching together, but he was lost in his thoughts. It's funny that now they are like this knowing how it all started. Why it started. Sometimes the feeling of guilt became unbearable, and he didn't know how to fix it.

He knew that people talk, both good and bad about them. He knows they say that Atsumu only uses him to make his ex jealous or to forget about him, and even though he knows it's true, he can't deny that it makes him nervous to imagine Sakusa reading those comments. The raven is known for not caring at all about public opinion, but when it comes to him... What if he reads it and believes it's true? Will he think that Atsumu is just using him? Maybe he doesn't say anything out of insecurity, and everything seemed so convenient that it was easy to believe those rumors...

"Atsu?" He caressed his shoulder with the same delicacy as his voice. He remembers when it went from Miya to Atsumu and the blonde almost jumped for joy. "You're not watching the movie."

"Ah, sorry." He cleared his throat. Sakusa looked at him again and caressed him.

"You're distracted." Atsumu looked away nervously. Sakusa learned to read him as well as he can read him in such a short time, so it wasn't worth denying or lying to him, he just had to find a way to face it.

“You… At any point, do you care about what others say?" He said softly, the other raised an eyebrow wanting to know where the question was coming from.

"I don't live to please others. That's for people in your world." His hand moved to caress her hair, and Atsumu almost melted at that moment but composed himself.

"Not with you, I mean, if someone said something about someone you know. Or if someone said something about me, would you care what they say?” Looking him in the eyes, hoping that with the little light in the room besides his television, he wouldn't be able to see the fear in his gaze.

Sakusa took a little longer to respond. "I would only care about what you say." He said firmly. "Everyone can say whatever they want, they always do. But your word is the one that matters to me.”

For me. He breathed unevenly before continuing, gently caressing the other person's hand. "I mean— please don't get mad." Sakusa looked at him with confusion and after a few seconds seemed to connect the dots. Atsumu swallowed hard.

"It's because of what they say about your ex, isn't it?" Atsumu froze for a second and fell silent, Sakusa understood it as a yes. "Atsumu—" But he was quickly interrupted.

"I know it looks bad, seriously, but it's not what it seems." He looked away, embarrassed, still not letting go of the other hand. "You were, or are, his favorite celebrity for some reason and I was angry because he cheated on me and thought it was a good idea for them to see us together at Tooru's party to make him mad, but I never thought about getting back with him or—" Falling in love with you.

"And I thought it wasn't going to be anything serious, that you would get bored with me and leave me the next day, but when I woke up and you weren't there, it was different." I felt..." He took a deep breath, wanting to calm his heart that seemed to be torn between explaining the truth and being chased by a lion. "Sad, not seeing you." And then you came back, and then we saw each other often and talked every day and— Suddenly! I wanted to kiss you all the time and always wake up by your side.

The room fell silent, he didn't even know when the television stopped making noise, but the only thing he could hear now was his heartbeat, making it seem like his heart would burst out of his chest at any moment. He didn't expect to tell him the truth like this, nor did he expect to share his feelings like this, but the worst part was that Sakusa didn't move or say anything. Atsumu would have preferred if he had been shouting at him instead.

He sniffed nervously. "It's okay if you don't feel the same way, and it's also okay if you're angry and don't wanna see me—”

"Atsumu." He spoke firmly again and made him shut up quickly. "Look at me."

His tear-filled hazel eyes met the other's dark orbs, which were staring at him intensely, resisting the urge to look away and preferring to focus on the two moles above his eyebrow, something that for some reason made him look more attractive and that he loved to run his thumb over while the other slept.

Sakusa sighed, but it wasn't an angry sigh or one that demanded explanations. He was calm, as if he wanted to help Atsumu calm down and understand. "I don't care what others say."

"Omi—"

"Do you love me?" And the answer reached other people's ears faster than ever.

"I love you so much." His voice broke at the end, but he didn't care. Sakusa smiled softly and gently held his face.

"I love you too, so I don't need anything else." He whispered affectionately. "It doesn't matter how it started, now you love me, that's what's important."

"So then..." You're not mad at me. He blinked rapidly, his eyes still teary. Sakusa shook his head, pulling him closer. "You're not going to leave me either."

"No, I'm not going to leave you." He rolled his eyes but there was no real annoyance. Atsumu sighed in relief. "At first, I imagined it would be like that and I didn't want to get my hopes up too much, but I think it's impossible to wake up by your side and not fall in love."

The blonde laughed nervously. "The other time I woke up in the middle of the night and had drooled all over your chest."

"I know. I realized I liked you when that didn't disgust me." Sakusa remembers having carefully cleaned it with the sheet and going back to sleep, afraid of not waking the blonde. Atsumu blushed quickly.

"Sorry for not being honest with you before, I swear I was going to do it, maybe more organized and with fewer tears." He placed his hands on Sakusa's shoulders and the other caressed his lower back.

"I didn't even care." He pressed his lips into a soft and warm kiss, just what the blonde needed at that moment, helping him calm down faster, smiling between kisses. "What's funny?" He asked, giving her another kiss.

"Mmh, does this mean we're official now?" He smiled happily, and Kiyoomi wished that smile would always remain on that face and in his life.

He nodded. "I won't let you write about your heart breaking again." He carefully kissed Atsumu's jaw, and Atsumu sighed contentedly.

"You can break something else." Sakusa growled and quickly pushed him onto the sofa with annoyance, Atsumu laughing loudly as he settled on top of him to corner him.

"Wow, you really know how to ruin a moment." His hands slipping under the other's shirt, feeling the other's nails start to scratch his biceps while leaving wet kisses on his neck. Atsumu was about to respond in the same way when Sakusa noticed. "Don't even say a word."

They didn't waste any time getting rid of their shirts, and Atsumu smiled contentedly. "If you don't want me to talk, you should do something about it." And Sakusa didn't waste any more time, kissing his now-boyfriend frantically, knowing he wouldn't hold back and the night would be longer for both of them.
