River's POV
I was fighting aliens, and had just finished blowing up their ship when i saw the TARDIS. I smiled, going inside, ready to see my love. But he wasn't there. Instead, it was a blond woman. The console room and the interior had changed too. I looked at the blonde, who was staring at me with a slight shock on her face. -,,Hello, I'm River, River Song, The Doctor might have mentioned me... and you are?" I asked, curious to who this pretty girl was...what if she was the Doctor's...no. He wouldn't...would he? -,,Oh, I'm uh..Jane. Jane Smith." She said, interrupting my train of thought, yet something in her tone wasn't completely honest, but i brushed it off -,,What are you to him..?" I asked, a slight jealousy rising up inside me, but I kept my poker face as if i was just curious. Of course he brought a pretty blonde.. -,,Oh, I'm just his companion." 'Jane' said, smiling a bit too widely. I looked at her with scepticism, trying to decipher if she was lying, but just brushed it off. In the end, she was his companion, let him deal with her. -,,So where is The Doctor?" I asked, changing the topic, 'Jane' seemed relieved, and smiled -,, Well, you know her- i mean- him. He's just..off fighting some aliens as always." I smiled, ignoring her slip up. That was my Doctor. But..he usually took his companions along. -,,So why aren't you with him?" I asked, tilting my head, a bit puzzled. 'Jane' paused and said -,, Well i uh just wanted to srest, you know. It can be exhausting, traveling with the doctor, fighting aliens and all that." I raised an eyebrow -,,Yet the TARDIS is still here." I said, pointing out that we were inside the TARDIS. 'Jane' smiled nervously -,,Well he's fighting aliens somewhere near here." She said, clearly nervous. I furrowed my brows once again, but what did i care if she was lying. -,,So what's your deal? he usually likes his companions special or weird." I said, sitting on top of the console, The doctor wouldn't like it but he wasn't here, so i could do whatever I wanted. 'Jane' bit her inner lip, and i could see something was bothering her, but i just presumed it was the fact I was so invasive, I tend to do that. -,,Well..uhh I guess he picked me because//" she paused, as if trying to think of something, but again, i presumed she was trying to think what the doctor picked her for. -,,cause I'm lonely, i don't know." She said, and i nodded -,,Makes sense, he likes to be a charity case." I said, smirking.
The Doctor's POV
-,,How do you know so much about him anyway?" I asked, wanting to see what River would say, these past few minutes with her had been the most stressful but she seemed to ignore the fact that i was clearly lying. 'she's jealous' i thought, but then quickly dismissed it. River wasn't jealous. she never was. right..? River looked at me and said -,,Oh you know, i'm just his wife." I pretended to be shocked -,,SH-I mean, he has a wife??" I asked, blinking, trying to act as shocked as possible. River raised a brow -,,Why do you keep almost calling him 'she' or 'her'? Oh my god, is he a woman now?" She asked, a sly smile on her face that sent shivers all through my body. I chuckled nervously and smiled -,,Well..yeah." I said, biting my inner lip. She smirked -,,My my, now that's even better then that whole other birthday.." She said, and i was actually confused now -,,Huh?" i asked, genuinely perplexed. -,,Not important, but is he-i mean, she really a woman now??"
River's POV
The Doctor was really a woman now? well that explained the TARDIS's interior change, but still, he- i suppose, she, had never been a woman before. I smirked. I wonder what she looked like. I was always the damn cradle snatcher, so she was probably hot.. I looked at 'Jane' and bit my lip -,,Tell me, honestly, is..she hot?" 'Jane' seemed a bit surprised, but said -,,UH i suppose she's pretty, yes." She said, a slight blush on her face, so i could tell The Doctor was hot as a woman. I looked a Jane, and hopped off the console -,,Do you wanna fly somewhere?" I asked, already pressing buttons on the console. 'Jane' looked slightly concerned -,,But what about The Doctor?" She asked. -,,Ahh, she can wait, i wanna show you something." i said, a slight smirk on my face. -,,But first" I turned to her -,,who really are you?" I asked, now actually caring because well, she didn't lie to me about The Doc, yet she lied about her name and perhaps even what she is to The Doctor..
The Doctor's POV
My eyes widened. of course i couldn't get off that easily. what was i supposed to tell her? That i'm The Doctor and she shouldn't be meeting this regeneration because the last time she said she saw me when she was dying was at Delirium, yet here she was. so what more lies was i supposed to conjure?
