All of this over a few kids making me upset. He really went all out. So now I was in my bathroom him sitting on a stool between my legs as I cleaned his messed up face. It could never be messed up though. He's perfect.
"Eds stay still-" I said a little annoyed as he kept moving around. "You cant blame me princess." He said with a smirk before wincing again. I sighed before being a little more gentle. He had a few good gashes on his face and a bruised eye and.. neck? "Eddie, your neck.." I paused my cleaning of his face to look at the bruised mark around his neck.
"Yeah- my throat's still a bit sore." He replied before I started cleaning again. I felt bad about this. After all they didn't even physically hurt me.
I grabbed a box of bandaids and started to cover some of the bigger wounds.
"I'm sorry." I mumbled. "For what sweetheart?" He asked raising an eyebrow wincing slightly. "That you had to deal with all this.. I never want to get you hurt." I said looking guilty.
He sighed before standing up and gently grabbing my face with his bloodied and ringed hands. "Sweetheart, look at me alright?" I looked at him. His eyes were pretty I had to admit. "I don't blame you for this." I looked at him trying to find anything that proves he's lying but nothing.
Tears well up in my eyes. I hug him like a lifeline. I had so much that I had been bottling up the past few weeks. It was like opening a bottle of champagne, except less celebratory.
He gently moves my head so our foreheads touch. "You know what I love about you?" I give a small shake no. "I love that you care so much about everyone. And even though its great to care, sometimes I think you forget one person."
I move back a little to give him a look that asked 'who?' I couldnt think of anyone that I could've left out or not helped? I mean I helped most people. It was just in my nature.
He smirked a little seeing the cogs turning in my brain. Of course he though the answer was fairly easy to guess but he told me anyway.
"Sweetheart.... yourself."
