Chapter Text
Rei Yeuri has been hanging around in this world for as long as she can remember, but she can't seem to shake off the feeling of unease. The unease she feels when she looks around, when she breathes naturally, and when she takes foot on the ground she's been walking on for ages. The feeling of not being familiar with your surroundings even if you've passed that same old alley you've been walking to on a usual routine. It's as if she wasn't supposed to be in that place where she stood. As if the ground wasn't made for her. As if she doesn't belong. It's like a lot of things changed, but she fell behind and couldn't get back on track with the latest trends. It's like... the things don't feel the same, and it wasn't like this before. As if someone had stolen a piece of her memory and wiped it all out. Someone. Or Something.
These thoughts would often leave her drowning in sleepless nights. Is there anything she can do to turn things back to normal? Does she even remember how things were back then? And if she ever tried to change the past, would the people around her remember her? Even if she herself couldn't remember the past after things had changed? Maybe, just maybe, if she could go back in time and change things, maybe things would go back to normal.
But how could she tell? She's never done that before. What if you really can't stop things from happening? What if she's trapped in a cycle where, despite all her effort, the same tragedies repeat themselves? All her struggles are for nothing, as if she's living in a broken simulation she can't escape.
