Chapter Text
The screen opened to show the coffin-looking gates of Night Raven collage.
Everyone looked to the screen and many wonder why they are starting here.
In one of the floating ‘Gates’ banging could be heard from inside.
The banging got louder until, the door to the ‘Gate’ nearly flew off it’s hinges and a figure immerged wearing robes.
Kalim and Idia nearly jumped out of their skins when they heard the loud bang; while others looked surprised.
The figure looked around, “what the hell?” was uttered in confusion, before the figure jumped down from the ‘Gate’ and landed perfectly on their feet. They looked around the room, before they started calling out to someone; “Francis! Gorgie! Lake!? Everyone!? Where are you guys!? Hello?”
As they kept calling, the figure soon heard a faint growl before the door to another Gate was broken off to the figure’s left and a person wearing the same robes jumped out and landed near the first figure. Causing said figure to look over “…Albert?”
‘Albert’ looked over and looked closely. “…Kenzie” was asked back in a thick accent.
Not long later the Albert and Kenzie hugged each other tightly. When they separated the two took their hoods off.
Albert stood at 6’7 feet tall and his skin was a pale blue colour with a small, white snowflake shaped birthmark underneath his right eye and sharp features. His eyes were a light teal blue, like frozen icicles. With two fangs peaking out from his bottom lip. And short, white hair that was tied in a short ponytail with a streak of pale blue.
And Kenzie turned out to be a young teenage girl that had lightly tanned skin and looked like a model; that stood at 5’9. She had long, naturally fluffy black hair with bright red tinge that was tied in a low ponytail and reached the middle of her back. Having bright purple eyes that put the finest purpliest gemstones to shame.
“Whoa” Ace said absently, as he stared at Kenzie in a daze and flushed cheeks.
And he wasn’t the only one who was flustered at the sight of the female teenager.
Even though, the two people that were currently shown were in the same room as them; with some colourful looking people; many were confused on why a girl was at an all-boys college and why the guy next to her didn’t look human.
Heck… he didn’t even look like a Beastman or Fae!
The two pulled away from each other and Kenzie checked Albert over to see if he was hurt anywhere. Once she saw no injuries, Kenzie sighed in relief. “Do you remember what happened?” she asked, causing Albert to shake his head; “no… all I remember is a strange mirror and ending up in a coffin” he answered. “Do you think the others are okay?”
Before Kenzie could answer, the two heard a thud and a pained yelp; causing the two to whirl. They saw someone on the ground, letting out a pained groan, “okay…that hurt” the person groaned out as they tried to get up.
“Gorgie?” Albert asked, causing said teen to freeze and look up “Bert? Ken? Is that you?” Gorgie asked and stumbled as he got up to his feet.
Gorgie appeared normal…if it wasn’t for the fact that his head didn’t have hair, but real life green-blue snakes that went to his shoulders and the right side was ‘shaved’ and only had bright green-blue scales. His skin was fair but there were small patches of scales on his neck. And his eyes were covered by a pair of sunglasses.
“I have a question” Deuce spoke up as he looked at Gorgie with curiosity. “Are your snakes really real?”
Gorgie shrugged “yeah they are, it’s the reason why their moving around right now” as if to prove his point; the snakes moved and quietly hissed. “But why do you cover your eyes?” Riddle asked as he couldn’t hide his curiosity either, and wondered if it was because of a medical condition. “If I take my shades off, I turn people and things to stone by looking at them” Gorgie explained.
“Truly?” Vil couldn’t help but be sceptical and raised an eyebrow at the Gorgon hybrid. As if to show his point, Gorgie took his sunglasses off and stared at a bag of popcorn. And it instantly turned to stone.
“Does that answer your question?” Gorgie put his shades back on and turned his attention back to the screen.
Ignoring the wide-eyed stares he received from the others.
Soon, twelve others dropped out of the Gates.
But they soon got under one Gate that had a small figure clinging to it. “Come on Cathen! It’s okay! If you jump, I’ll catch you, I promise!” Kenzie reassured the small figure that turned out to be a ten-year-old boy.
Cathen was a small boy with grey skin with a white patch on the right side of his face and had cat ears on his head. His eyes were a light unnatural yellow with slit pupils. He had short black hair with a streak of red. And had a mouth of mini fangs.
The small boy whimpered “p-promise?”
“I promise!” Kenzie said and held out her arms. Cathen took a deep shuddering breath and jumped down; landing safely into the girl’s arms. Cathen held onto the teenager tightly and buried his face into the crook of her neck; causing the teen to rub his back in comfort.
“Now… where are we?” Kenzie questioned as she and the others looked around.
“You guys look pretty confused” Lilia noted as he took in the strange group of teenagers.
One of them shrugged “eh, we’ve never really been anywhere of our community.” This person was a young male with skin that was as pale as the dead. The whites of his eyes were a dark purple, while the colour was an unnatural, glowing green.
One of them noticed, a small, shivering form in the corner. He walked over to it and gently lifted it up with one hand; and brought it close to get a proper look on what it was.
It turned out to be a strange-looking cat with grey fur and a white chest. His tail looked to be in the shape of a pitchfork. Had electric blue flames coming from his ears and had bright blue eyes. And he had a black and white striped ribbon around his neck with a light purple gemstone.
And it was shivering in fear, in his grip.
Kenzie and the others walked over “what’s that Vladimer?”
Vladimer was a male that stood at 5’10 with pale skin. He had short pink and black hair that ended at his neck. Bright pink eyes, fangs peaking from his upper lip which had light pink lipstick on. And a leather choker with a pink kunzite gemstone on it.
“I dunno… a cat I think” Vladimer said in a slight Romanian accent as he showed the creature to the others.
“Now what’s a small one like you doing here Little one?” Albert asked as he gently petted his head.
“Sorry that we frightened you Grim” Kenzie apologised to the small creature. Grim shrugged “It’s alright.”
“Goodness gracious! There you all are!” a voice said loudly, causing everyone to look over to see…
A strange man wearing a suit, feathers, a top hat and a strange bird mask.
A couple of people snorted at that description.
“For goodness’ sake, I’ve been looking for all of you everywhere! Now come along! So that we can get all of you sorted!” the eccentric-looking male exclaimed and walked away; beckoning them to follow him as he explained about where they are.
Gorgie leaned over to Kenzie “so… do we follow the crazy man in the freaky bird mask?”
A few coughed to hide their snickers.
“Don’t really have a choice, this might be the only way for us to get back home” Kenzie claimed, as she started to follow the male. The others looked at each other and shrugged.
And they started following along.
