Six

Summary:

He'd gotten beat up horribly- the worst Saitama had ever seen him. If it weren't for that reassuring noise that belonged more to a computer than his sweet, beautiful boyfriend, Saitama would've thought that Genos was...

He couldn't think about it. He just stayed silent, rubbing the other's torn back as they made their way to Kuseno's lab.

Notes:

Hi. This has a bit of angst but it ends happily. I did the Genos prompt this time- Show your weakness to me alone. Happy Day Six! :D

Work Text:

By the time Saitama had reached Genos, the cyborg was a mangled mess- the skin on his face was gone, as were both of his eyes and all of his hair. All that was left of that area was the metal of his head and a cracked jaw, barely hanging on its hinges. The rest of his body didn't fare well, either. Both arms were missing, one and a half legs too, and his chest and abdomen were heavily scratched and dented. Upon closer inspection, the core was still intact (thank god) and there was a fairly large, visible crack in his titanium skull.

Shit.

"Genos... hey, baby, hey- can you hear me? I'm sure you can't really move but if you can hear me, do anything, literally anything--"

The caped hero's panic was slightly alleviated when he heard a crackle coming out of Genos' throat that sounded somewhat like 'Saitama' on autotune. He sighed in relief, one of the many knots in his chest coming undone, as he picked up the teen's mangled body like it was as light as a feather.

"I'll get you to Dr. Kuseno, alright? He'll- he'll fix you right up. Don't worry, Gen. He's gonna make you better..."

No response. He had to be tired- no, exhausted.

Upon arrival, the good doctor answered the door with a gurney already prepared- he'd seen the pair arriving via security cameras.

"He's really beat up, doc, and- I-I saw a crack in his skull, so I really just hope there's no brain damage..." The elder bit his lip, setting the cyborg on the gurney. "How long will it take to fix him?"

The mushroom-haired man looked his charge over, nodding silently and taking a few notes on a clipboard. "It will be ten days, at the least. Two weeks at the most. He'll need extensive repairs and lots of rest- especially if there's any damage to his brain. I don't think so, though- the crack isn't that deep."

Saitama sighed in deep relief at that. "Okay... um, I'll leave him to you, then."

With that, he was gone.

---

It did end up taking two weeks for Genos to get fixed- he had to have nearly everything replaced, sans his core and brain. Things were certainly a mess, at the lab and at the apartment. Saitama hardly slept, or ate, or did chores, until his lover arrived home in one piece late on a Tuesday.

The B Class hero was in his futon when he heard the door knob turn and the familiar clunk, clunk of metal hitting hardwood floor. Much too excited to stay lying down, he jumped up and practically tackled his former disciple before he could make his way into the apartment fully.

"Ah! S-Saitama..." Genos laughed slightly, petting his dear old sensei on his back. Before he saw them, he felt warm tears hit his shoulder- startled, worried, he pushed the strong man back and examined his face. "You're crying!"

"I..." I thought you were gonna die. I thought I was gonna lose you forever. I thought I'd be alone again. "I missed you a lot."

Sighing softly and wiping away the other's tears, Genos leaned back in to kiss Saitama on the nose, then the lips. "I missed you, too... Saitama."

Unable to help himself, the man cried freely, clinging onto the back of his cyborg lover's shirt while said cyborg shushed and kissed him.

"Genos..."

You're my weakness.
