Chapter Text
"Dog Man! Someone is running a muck around town!" Chief explained over the phone.
Dog Man whined and growled and barked.
"I don't care if it's your day off! We don't have anyone else on the team with a supa sniffing nose! No one has been able to see who's causing all this trouble! They managed to sneak past everything! I don't know how they do it! The only thing we got is people been saying they leave a weird smell behind, no one can agree on the smell! That's why we need your help Dog Man!"
Dog Man barks and howls, guess supa heroes can't take any days off.
"Good! Meet me at Patty's Paper Place!"
Dog Man comes back into the kitchen.
"So, work called?" Petey asked while flipping a pancake.
Dog Man whined, he was looking forward to having breakfast with Petey and Lil' Petey. Everything in the kitchen smelt so good. Lil' Petey already having his breakfast at the table talking about the new comics he's making with Molly.
Petey bopped him on his head.
"Hey, I just got your plate fixed up. Just sit down and eat before you head out. We can just meet you at the park once you're done with work."
Dog Man nods his head. At least he'll have breakfast before taking off.
"Change of plans kid, Dog Man has work to do. "
"Can I come along?"
Dog Man signed,
'No, not this time. They just want me to smell things and places. Shouldn't be to long.'
"Aww, okay. You're still able to play at the park?"
'Yes, wouldn't miss it for anything.'
Lil' Petey nodded his head and continued eating his breakfast. Dog Man scarfed down his food, the faster he helps Chief the faster he gets to enjoy the rest of his weekend. After licking his plate clean and putting in the sink. Dog Man waves Petey good bye.
He leaves the room to only to come back seconds later to hug Lil' Petey good bye.
"Don't forget to sniff butts!" Lil' Petey gigged as Dog Man left.
"I really hope he doesn't have to sniff butts, yuck!" Petey exclaimed.

Chapter 2: Papers, Papers and More Papers?

Dog Man sniffed around the building ten times, everything just smelt like paper! All types of paper. Woody, musty and earthy. It all smells like paper!
"They took all the portable printers! The paper protectors! The card stock! The weather proof paper! All the paper plates and paper party hats! They even took all the markers, crayons and color pencils! Why? Why?" Patty cried into her hands. Maybe her mom was right, running a paper store was dumb.
"Don't worry Patty! We have are best on the job! Dog Man can figure it out!"
Patty sniffed into her handkerchief.
"I hope so! I need to prove my mother wrong!"
Dog Man and the Chief left the building to go back to the police station to discuss what was found.
"So, the perp has been stealing paper related items all over town! When they robbed the bank they only stole all the paper bills, no coins or bars of gold were missing. But they even took all the paper from the printers and all the sticky notes too. They stole from all the restaurants in took but only took all the receipt paper."
Chief walked away from the crime board and sat down at his desk. He sighed loudly and yelled out.
"Why would someone need so much paper?"
' Should I ask Petey for help? He's an ex-bad guy. Maybe he might know a reason why someone would want all this paper? ' Dog Man signed out.
"That's not a bad idea, Dog Man. I can see we are both stumped on this case. Go home and enjoy the rest of your day off. Ask Petey about the paper. "
Dog Man left the office and Milly waved goodbye to him as she walked into the office.
"Nurse Lady called and asked about what you want for dinner while you were out."
"Thanks Milly! I'll call her right now."

Chapter 3: New Paper Palace?

As Dog Man made us way over the park, there was a crowd and a very strange sight. Someone made a giant castle in the park over night?
"Dog Man! Over here!"
Dog Man turned around and saw Petey and Lil' Petey were already at the park looking at the castle. Upon closer inspection, someone even made a moat around it. The bridge was drawn up so no one could go inside it.
"This is so cool! Is this like an art project the city does?" Lil' Petey asked with excitement.
"I don't know, usually they have a little sign that tells you who made it. Could be someone doing this to be mischievous."
Dog Man half listening to their conversation, something about the castle was weird. It didn't smell like stone or metal. He kept sniffing, it just smells like a room after Lil' Petey makes a comic.
Markers, pencils and crayons. Paper, this castle is all made from paper.
"Earth to Dog Man!" Petey shouted.
Dog Man shock his head and signed frantically.
'I think whoever made this, was the one causing all the trouble around town! It's all paper!'
"Really? Why would they do this?" Lil' Petey chiming in.
"Why even make this outside in the park? It's going to get ruined by the rain tomorrow." Petey stated.
Dog Man shrugged his shoulders and messaged the Chief on his cellphone about the situation.
(Good work! 👍 Maybe we'll see who did this when they have to clean up all the paper. Meet you there tomorrow.)
Dog Man sent a thumbs up in response.
"Dog Man look! There's even alligators in the water!"
"Hey a little help!" Petey frantically shouted as he tried grabbing Lil' Petey away from the water.
Dog Man rushed over quickly as he could. While he's got his work cut out for him tomorrow, right now he is excited to be with his family.
