Lan Zhan’s breath came uneven as Wei Ying pinned him against the wooden pillar. His wrists weren’t restrained, yet he didn’t move. His golden eyes flickered between Wei Ying’s smirk and the space between them—barely an inch.
“Wei Ying…” Lan Zhan murmured, his voice softer than the evening wind.
Wei Ying tilted his head, dragging a knuckle along Lan Zhan’s jaw. “You keep looking at me like that, Lan Zhan, and I might think you want something.”
Lan Zhan’s fingers curled into the fabric of his own sleeves. “Mn.”
Wei Ying grinned, leaning in until their foreheads touched. “Do you?”
Lan Zhan’s breath hitched, but he didn’t pull away. “…Yes.”
Satisfaction curled in Wei Ying’s chest. “Good,” he murmured, pressing his lips against Lan Zhan’s. It was slow—teasing at first—until Lan Zhan made a sound, barely a whimper, and Wei Ying’s control nearly shattered.
When they parted, Lan Zhan looked dazed, lips red from kissing.
Wei Ying brushed his fingers over them. “You and me—it’s enough.”
Lan Zhan met his gaze, soft but certain. “…Yes.”
Wei Ying smirked, thumb stroking over Lan Zhan’s heated skin. “Then let me prove it.”
Lan Zhan exhaled shakily.
They laughed.
