Chapter Text

Oosawa Aya was a high class princess, and she was loved by her kingdom and held very highly by her parents, being a beautiful and perfect child as she was. Yet, even while being loved, Aya's entire family thought she was weird, and, sort of, unnatural. She wasn't boy-crazy like her friends and/or other princesses, they had never once seen her dancing at a ball, whether it was by herself or with a prince.

Aya was walking in town, in a disguise in which nobody would notice her. (by disguise it's just baggy, semi-masculine clothing with a mask.) She enjoyed getting to walk in town freely where nobody stared or tried to talk to her.

Accidentally turning a corner, Aya noticed she had never gone down that part of town. She heard the faint sound of music from down an alleyway.

"How cliche," She rolled her eyes, before caving in and walking down the alley.

Walking in, Aya saw shelves of records, cds, with music she had always loved. Struck with awe, Aya walked towards one of the shelves, picking up an album. She gasped, her eyes lighting up, flashing with sparkles and stars.

"No way! This is.."

"Can I help you?" Asked a guy with black hair and a black mask. He wore a black apron and had headphones around his neck.

"Oh! I.." Aya trailed off, her eyes locking onto this pretty boy's eyes. "uhm.."

"Sorry if I startled you. Did you need help with anything?" Asked the guy.

"Ah.. Ahaha.. No.. i.. I was just looking at.." Aya replied with an awkward laugh.

"...This is one of my favourites. Do you like RHCP?" He asked, tilting his head slightly.

Aya gasped, before quickly replying.

"...Yeah! They're so cool!!" Aya cheered, before realising her enthusiasm and tuning it down. "..Uh, Anyway, I should get going.."

The guy nodded, returning back to the counter. Aya put the album back in its place and hurriedly left the shop. That was weird. Maybe one of the weirdest interactions of her whole life. Was she attracted to.. A commoner? Of all people? No, that wasn't right. She was a princess. And she had always planned her dream wedding, with a pretty prince and a glamorous venue.

When she got home, she immediately changed into something more presentable and rushed to her friends' place. This news was important. Very important, as Aya had never shown any signs of attraction to a guy. Ever. Not even a single crush. But no one had to know that, now did they? She always just made up fake crushes to fit in with her friends. She had never planned on dating anyone. Especially not a commoner. But this one's music felt different than all the others.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

One of Aya's best friends, Chizuru, opened the door.

"Aya?" She raised an eyebrow, letting her in.

"Chizuru! Is Mao here too?" Asked Aya.

Chizuru nodded, calling Mao over. Mao yawned and stretched, walking over.

"Yeah?" She asked groggily.

"I think I have a crush!" Aya blurted out, covering her mouth with her hands in an attempt to cover a huge blush beginning to cloud her face.

"OOSAWA AYA HAS A CRUSH?!" Both Chizuru and Mao shrieked, a mass amount of disbelief and surprise in their voices.

"Quiet down, you two!" Aya hissed, her face reddening.

The two looked at each other suspiciously, before looking back at Aya. They both gave a hesitant nod, signalling for her to go on.

"Okay, so. He's real pretty! And he works at this one store where there's a bunch of cool music stuff, and, they even had things like Nirvana, Radiohead, etc--"

"Neerdddd.." Chizuru mumbled, earning a giggle from Mao.

Aya gave a pout and she sighed.

"He's really cool.." Aya protested.

Chizuru groaned, before putting a hand on Aya's shoulder.

"Whatever makes you happy." Chizuru teased, which earned a huff from Aya.

Aya, Chizuru, and Mao talked for a bit before Aya bid her goodbyes and returned home in time for dinner.

"Aya," Aya's mother paused briefly. "I need to discuss something highly important with you. May I? Or should I wait until you finish your dinner?"

"Anytime's fine." Aya smiled.

"Right... So, me and your father have been talking. You're seventeen now, and there's not a partner in sight. We've come to the conclusion in which many townspeople have suggested, an arranged marriage."

"What?!"
