Work Header

Toddy's no good, very bad day.

Summary:

This is based on some word vomit I spat out on my Instagram stories in 2023, loosely based on the episode Los Toys En Problemas.

(This isn't supposed to be bashing the toys or Bon specifically btw, it's just supposed to be Toddy's point of view)

Work Text:

It's three-thirty PM, the horrible school day finally ended, and a fourteen years old girl walked into a store where they sold absolutely delicious - in her opinion - Boba tea. Two cups to share with her very best childhood friend.

Three-thirty five, she hurried back to the park where her friend was supposed to be waiting for her, but the bench he was sitting on when the girl walked away was empty.

Maybe he just had a problem, he will come back soon, she thought.

Three-forty, maybe she should wait a bit longer.

Three-fifty five, the girl started to think of her no good, very bad day.
This girl liked her best friend, she did since she was really small, yet she has the feeling that maybe he doesn't like her back one bit. There was a boy in her school with long, greasy purple hair that always got all the attention that should have belonged to her! Is it because he plays guitar? The girl thought of learning guitar, but her nails would always break when she tried to pick one up.

Four PM. She doesn't want to give up hope yet. She started to think about the boy's best friends, she doesn't like them. They always talk behind her back when they think she isn't listening. They don't want her to join their band, they said she's useless. She knows she's not exceptionally great in music, and she doesn't know how to play many instruments, but why not teach her? They have the whole semester to practice for the battle of the bands!
But no, they'd rather throw her away like a dog.

Four-twenty, she lost all hope. She had so much to talk about, so much to catch up on, was his mother feeling better? She looked around, cheerful people walking everywhere, she looked up, the sun seemed to shine brighter than usual, she looked down and the colourful flowers seemed to smile. Only the girl stood still, the two cups of tea sitting to her side on the bench, she kept her gaze low, somehow way too proud to cry.

Four-twenty five, the girl inadvertently drew attention to herself, Two teenagers - that she soon recognised to be new faces - approached her.
One was tall, pale, with amber eyes and pink, soft looking hair. He smiled as he took a seat beside the girl, and presented himself;
"My name's Felix, Felix Fabulous! I know, my surname sounds kinda silly, but one simply can't say it's not accurate for a guy like me!" That presentation made the girl giggle. Her gaze then shifted to the shorter girl, a redhead. Her medium length hair trapped in two pigtails, and the look of pure joy in her grass green eyes almost blinding. "And I'm Abby!"

They both looked so happy, what made them want to sit next to such a pathetic girl?

"We're from the school that's gonna take the trip to Camp Amadeus with your school!" Abby explained, moving her arms.
"We decided to take a walk around here, because honestly this town is so pretty!" Felix continued.
"And so small." The girl commented.
"Hey, we like small towns, we appreciate the quietness!" Abby remarked, the girl rolled her eyes.
"Anyway," Felix started, " we saw you were feeling a little down, and while you don't have to tell us what happened that made you feel this way, we thought we could try to cheer you up!" The boy then smiled and put an hand over the girl's shoulder.
"What's your name, anyway?" Abby asked.
"Why, I'm Todaline Fazbear." The girl presented herself, putting an hand on her chest. "You can call me Toddy."
"Well, Toddy, you are now my new best friend. I mean, where do you get your hair done? They're, like, so pretty! I need all your secrets." Felix exclaimed, the comments made another giggle escape Toddy's mouth.
"Oh," Abby started, grabbing Felix's arm, "I promise you will have all the time to talk about clothes and hair and whatever when we get to the camp..." Her tone sounded slightly annoyed, but the playful kind, it was obvious she wasn't actually annoyed at her friend.

"It was very nice of you two to stop by... I needed this." Toddy said, grabbing the two cups of boba tea from earlier. It was getting late, and she had homework to finish.

"Oh, Oh!" Abby exclaimed, though immediately calming down after.
"I like boba, too, that one's my favourite flavour!" She continued, pointing to the cup with the flavour Toddy picked for herself.
"You can have it, if you want." Toddy answered, and stuck her hand with the tea cup out for Abby to grab. She's not sure why she did that, usually she's way more hesitant when it comes to sharing her stuff... But in that moment, and with that person, it just felt like the right thing to do... Abby and her friend have been nothing but nice with her, and they didn't even know her! Abby gladly accepted the gift and started to drink right away, Toddy then asked Felix if he'd accept the other cup, tho he declined the offer, saying he was on a strict diet. Again, Toddy doesn't know why she offered the tea, it just felt like the right thing to do.
Toddy even wrote her phone number on Abby's cup so they could contact each other later.

Four- thirty five, Toddy was walking home with a message from both her new friends on her phone, a smile on her face, and a day that wasn't completely bad, after all.
