Work Text:
It was quite early in the morning. The birds softly chirping as they woke up to get the early worm, much like a tired father whom has woken up from his deep sleep. 7n7 yawned as he woke up, chuckling a bit as he shuffled up against the head rest to see the scene laid out before him. His two cute children clinging onto one another while nested against Guest who had his arms wrapped around the two protectively.
7n7 would do anything to stay in bed with his family and cuddle them all day, but unfortunately he had to go to work today and today would be quite the busy day too. He carefully slipped out of bed, pulling the covers back over Guest who grunted at the sudden movement. Placing a gentle kiss on his and the two kids foreheads before slipping on his house shoes, 7n7 quietly took out his uniform from the closet and shuffled his way into the bathroom in the hall, closing the door behind himself as quiet as he could.
After a quick shower and brushing his teeth, 7n7 got dressed for work. Putting on his burger hat as well as waking up his little buddy noob spider to join him for today, quiet grumbling could be heard from it as 7n7 made his way to the doorway. Grabbing his work bag from it's hook then slipping on his work shoes, he looked behind as he whispered "I'm off to work now, I love you!" before closing the door and leaving to go to work.
A few hours pasted before Guest's alarm started to blare. He grunted and grumbled as the noise woke him up, reaching over towards the nightstand where the alarm continued to yell and with a swift smack- it stopped. Guest rubbed his eyes as he looked down to see his two children still asleep even through the noise, it never stopped surprising him seeing the two most rowdy of all kids, sleep like a brick through such noise. He smiled as he exhaled a laugh, giving them both kisses on the foreheads before getting out of bed. Tucking the sheets back in to keep the two warm.
He wasn't surprised to see that 7n7 was gone, the poor man worked himself to bone nearly everyday. Always having to leave early and coming back so late, he had tried to convince him to quit a few of his job so that he could stay home and rest with him and the kids, but 7n7 was too adamant about working. Saying "I can't leave all the money business to you, I don't want to sit here and do nothing either- I want to help my family after all.", Guest shook his head as he slipped on his house shoes. Making his way down the hall to the kitchen, he put on his apron and got to work.
He cooked sausage, bacon, and eggs with pancakes for Charlotte, making sure that her eggs were sunny side up as she always asked for. Then he make porridge with strawberries and raspberries for Coolkidd, not forgetting to make a plate bacon and sausage for the kid too, cutting them up to make it easier for him to eat.
And lastly for himself, he made a few sausage and cabbage cakes with a side of scrambled eggs with cheese, not forgetting to make a bowl of rice too.* Guest heard the pitter pattering of feet from down the hall as he set up the table with the food, setting down glasses and filling them with the children's preferred drink before hearing talking to each other loudly. "Ooohh... Dad's cooking today!!" "I hope he made my eggs right, Papa didn't last time, blegh!! I hate scrambled eggs..."
Guest chuckled as he listened to them talk before calling out to the two. "Come on kids! I can hear you talking, breakfast is ready!!" Two pair of feet could be heard hurriedly making their way to the kitchen. Guest smiled at the two when they rounded the corner, the pair smiled back just as happily. "Morning, Daddy!" Charlotte said happily as she sat in front of her plate. "Morning, Papa!!" Coolkidd said, struggling a bit to get into his seat, but with the help of Guest he sat just fine. "Good Morning to you kids too! You can go on eat, I'll turn on the tv." Guest said, reaching for the remote that was on the counter and turning the tv on to the news before joining the children at the table.
The family were used to eating like this due to 7n7 being busy with work most of the time, although it made the kids a bit dadsick as they'd say (homesick but for their dad) the kids still looked forward to him coming back from work to tell him about their day. They all chatted here and there as they ate, watching the news somewhat as it caught the kids attention at times before returning to finishing their plates. Charlotte sipped on her apple juice before gasping suddenly, which caused Guest to look at her in concern as he walked over to her.
But, before he could say something- she beat him to the punch. "Daddy! Daddy, we gotta make something for papa!!" Charlotte exclaimed excitedly, slapping her hands on the table before giving her dad a sheepish look. "What do you mean, sugar?" Guest asked his beloved daughter, giving her a pat on the head as a gentle scolding for slamming the table. Coolkidd piped up as he saw the date on the tv. "Dad did you forget? It's Papa's birthday!" Coolkidd exclaimed, quite loudly as he popped up from behind his sister.
Guest looked at the clock, it was still early in the morning and 7n7 had already left for work. He was pretty sure that he was going to come home late too... Guest looked at the two children with a grin. "Why don't we make a surprise birthday gift for your Papa? I have a great idea." Guest suggested. The two children looked at each other with a wide smile before yelling happily. "Tsk, tsk tsk... before we do any of that though, why don't you two take your baths and brush your teeth? We can plan after you're all cleaned up." Guest said as he got a couple of whines. Ushering them out the kitchen to let them clean themselves up, Guest cleaned their dishes and put everything away as he waited for the kids to get themselves dressed and ready.
The trio cleaned themselves up and were dressed by the time Guest made his way into the living room. "Daddy, are we going to make something for Papa?" Coolkidd asked as he looked up at Guest with hope in his eyes. Guest nodded with a smile, patting the red child on the head gently. "Of course, and would you two like to help? We're going to need to buy a few things and gifts for Papa after all." Guest asked the pair. The two children nodded their heads excitedly, it made Guest's heart warm with how much his children wanted to do something for 7n7 for his birthday.
Guest grabbed his bag and slipped on his shoes in the doorway, the two children behind him followed in suit. They went to the store and bought ingredients for cake and cookies, the children had picked out flowers and decided that they'd rather make their gifts for 7n7 than buy them. It took a moment for them to make it back home, making their way into the kitchen and setting their new goodies on the table.
Guest put in his apron and helped the two put on their own as they always loved to help in the kitchen. He started to work on the cookies before the cake, they were chocolate chip cookies- one of 7n7's favorites. He let the kids roll the dough into ball and put them on the baking tray, shooing them away carefully once he put the cookies in the oven. Coolkidd had taking charge of cleaning the bowl via eating the leftover cookie that they didn't use, sharing some with Charlotte as the two watched Guest work on the cake. He hummed softly as he made the chocolate cake, putting the cake into the oven as well. He had already set a timer for the cookies, so he set up another for the cake.

The used bowls and utensils were washed as well as their hands before Guest told the two kids that they could go and make their gifts now as he waited for the treats to finish baking... The timers went off after some time had pasted causing Guest to get up and take the trays out the oven. He set the trays on the counter to let them cooldown as the two children sat in the living room working on their gifts for 7n7. Guest looked over his shoulder at them before making his way to the living room, leaning against the couch to look at the two.
They seemed very focused on their works, Coolkidd making a drawing while Charlotte was making a card. "Are you two hungry for lunch? I can make something to eat." Guest asked as he now was leaning against the couch looking down at the two. "Mmm... I want a sandwich, Daddy!" Coolkidd said, still focusing on playing with his toys. "I want a pb and j sandwich!" Charlotte said as she looked up at Guest who nodded at her. "Alrighty kids, I'll make that real quick for y'all." He said as he went back into the kitchen to make their lunch. After Coolkidd and Charlotte ate, Guest told them that they can decorate the cake now.
They spent a while decorating the cake, Coolkidd and Guest let Charlotte decorate the cake as she had a habit of decorating her things. After that they put the cake in a container, doing the same with the cookies though minus the decorating. The two went back to working on their gifts as Guest sat on the couch watching television, it was already the afternoon when he looked at the clock, he wondered when 7n7 would come back from work- hoping that it wouldn't take too long.
Guest had fallen asleep on the couch a couple of minutes later before being woken up by Coolkidd, he opened his eyes tiredly as he look down at him, putting an arm around him with a hum. "What's wrong, buddy?" He had asked Coolkidd as the child had a look of excitement in his eyes. "Papa's coming home soon!! We finished out gifts too! We gotta get ready, Dad!!" The child exclaimed happily. Guest smiled as he nodded, moving Coolkidd off of him gently as he saw Charlotte watching cartoons on the television. "Ready to set the table, Charlotte?" Guest asked to get her attention. She whipped her head around and nodded. "Yeah!!"

7n7 yawned as he made his way to the door of his home, taking out his keys and unlocking the door. "I'm hooooome!!" He said with a slight groan, but still happy to be back. He took off his work shoes and bag, placing them back where they belong, something was a bit off.... He put on his house shoes as he turned around to see that all the lights had been turned of in the living room and kitchen.
"Kids....? Guest?" He questioned as he slowly made his way towards the kitchen, looking around for any of his family members. Why was it so dark? Where did they go, are they hurt? Did something bad happen to the- His thoughts were cut off as he felt a pair of familiar arms wrap around him, almost making him jump. "Heya, Seven. Welcome home!" Guest said in a soft tone. 7n7 immediately melted into his touch as he relaxed from his panic thoughts. "Goodness, love... don't do that again you nearly scared me to death! Now why is everything dark in here, I paid the electricity bill last week?" 7n7 asked before the lights suddenly flicked on.
The kitchen was decorated with streamers, ribbons, and a few hand made ornaments that Charlotte had Guest help her with. 7n7 stared in shock at it, he heard pitter pattering of feet that pushed the container of cake towards 7n7, carefully removing the lid that covered it. It was Coolkidd, he looked at him with the biggest eyes of joy ever in his life with a wide smile.
Charlotte came around with party hats, put one on Coolkidd, herself, and Guest. She looked at 7n7 with expectant eyes, he took off his burger hat and lowered himself down to let her put the hat on him. On a silent count to three, the trio smiled as they yelled "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!"
7n7 was stunned in awe and appreciation for his family, oh how he didn't deserve to have such a sweet husband and two cute children who surprised him with such and amazing gift on his own birthday... that he had forgotten about. Tears pricked his eyes as he smiled "Oh.. wow, thank you all, I don't deserve you- you've did this whole thing just for me? Thank you.." He said as he wiped the tears from his face. Charlotte and Coolkidd smiled, knowing how much of a softie their Papa was when it came to soft things like this. Guest put a candle on the cake and lit it with a lighter, looking at 7n7 with all the love and care in his eyes.
"Go on, make your wish, Seven.."
7n7 took a deep breath in and blew out the candle with a soft sob.
"I wish that my family is always safe, as they're too good for me and I love them so much... thank you..."

BONUS:
7n7 smiled as he looked at the family drawing that Coolkidd made for him, it was really cute, he decided to hanged in on the fridge with a magnet. He gave his son a careful kiss on the cheek due to his skin condition. As for Charlotte, his little rose gave him a handmade card that said "Happy Birthday, Papa! I love you very very much and i hope you enjoy this gift!" He smiled as he gave her a kiss on the forehead before hanging it on the fridge too, next to Coolkidd's drawing.
"And here's my gift to you." Guest said before giving 7n7 a gentle yet passionate kiss on the lips, 7n7 immediately felt his face flush before giggling when he heard Charlotte and Coolkidd gagging "Eeeeeeewwwww, you're kissing, ewwww!!" Coolkidd said, though in a playful manner. Guest chuckled as he gave the two kids kisses on their cheeks too, causing them to giggle softly.
"Thank you three so much, I really mean it... thank you!" They all looked at 7n7 with grins as they hugged him. "You're welcome..." Guest said, with another kiss to 7n7's cheeks.
"We love you, Seven. It's the most we could do for you."
