Chapter Text
Spring break has come and gone, and the guys of Olympus University have returned to campus. Some guys took the time and went on vacation with friends new and old. Others went home to see their families. And then there’s the unfortunate few who spent their break still on campus, but they were able to take advantage of the situation. Regardless, the guys of Jock Studio are ready to get back in action.
After a week of getting back into the swing of things, Friday came, which only meant one thing: Filming Day. After a few hours of successful shoots (and a nosebleed or two from Ace), the guys clean up and prep the studio for next week. While waiting for Jacques to hand out paychecks, most of the guys engage in some small talk amongst themselves: everyone except Bryce, who’s texting his frat bros, planning out their party schedule for the rest of the semester. After a bit, Jacques comes out of the filming room holding a stack of envelopes.
“All of you were magnifique today! And our Spring Break collection was a massive success,” Jacques exclaimed excitedly.
All of the guys cheered in excitement (for the most part) about another successful collection. Various high fives and fist bumps were given, as well as Yuuto being Yuuto, hugging the two closest guys to him. Everyone knew one thing by now, big success means big money.
“And don’t think I forgot about these,” Jacques said with a smirk on his face, holding out the envelopes, one for each of the guys. As the guys came up to claim their pay, most were thankful and happy, while others were quiet and quick about getting their money. After opening their envelopes, there was a bit of awe considering how much was in each envelope. After a bit they put their cash away.
“There’s no other way to say this without being sappy, so I’ll keep it blunt: I gratefully appreciate you all for making Jock Studio as fruitful as it’s been,” Jacques said with a huge smile, starting to tear up a bit. Gathering his composure quickly, Jacques continues, “I declare that a celebration is in order!” he exclaimed proudly.
While some of the guys were excited, the rest had mixed expressions knowing that these spontaneous celebrations have weird consequences that follow. But Jacques knew by now that the guys couldn’t resist two things: free food and alcohol. Within a matter of seconds he grabbed a covered tray from the kitchenette area and placed it down on the table. Then, he delicately lifted the top off, revealing a glorious sight for the guys: a big stack of savory burgers, a bit of steam coming off showing that they're fresh.
“And if you think that’s it, there’s one more thing,” Jacques said smugly as he walked somberly to the fridge, opening it revealing it full of various beers and wine. “I always come prepared,” he said with a smirk.
“Hell yeah, let’s get this party started,” simultaneously said by the surprising duo of Yuuto and Bryce, as they head over to the fridge to grab some drinks. After a bit, Ace, Leo and Zayne make their way to join in on the festivities, leaving Derek and Avan off to the side. The two take a look at each other and sigh, knowing something is bound to happen, regardless they head over and try to enjoy themselves.
A little while later, the topic of what the guys did for spring break gets brought up. Jacques starts the discussion talking about a beautiful resort in Fiji that went to, describing all of the beautiful nature, and men. Yuuto starts to talk about what he and Avan did, before being cut off by Avan briefly chastising him by talking with his mouth full. Avan goes into detail about the nature retreat he and Yuuto did, with the latter chiming in during bites of food. Then Zayne talks about the tropical vacation he went on, and the last minute decision to bring Leo along, seeing that the little guy had no plans of his own; Leo expressed his gratitude towards Zayne bringing him along and the two talk about activities they did. Next, Derek goes on briefly about a solo road trip, visiting some national parks and all the hikes he went; taking in the beauty of nature. After Derek finished all eyes were on the two who haven’t said anything yet: Ace and Bryce. Ace took a glance at Bryce, who was still eating, and took the initiative.
“Me and Bryce stayed on campus because we didn’t really have any plans. We mostly did our own things, but we did hang out a bunch, hehe,” he said with a slightly nervous tone. As much as he would like to say what he and Bryce did was wholesome, it was far from the truth. With most of the student body being gone for the week, Bryce was a bit more open with hanging out with Ace. A few beers here, a snack raid or two there, but that was nothing compared to how the two spent their nights together. In Bryce’s words, “there’s no shame in helping a bro get rid of a stiffy”. No matter how many times they had to wash their sheets, it was all worth the raw passion. Ace’s thoughts could go on and on until Bryce decided to finally throw in his two cents.
“Tch, the only reason I hung out with the dork was because all my bros had their own plans,” Bryce said abruptly. No matter how much he enjoyed their time together, he would never admit it to anyone, even the other guys of Jock Studio. Ace knew better than to say anything else, but that didn’t stop some of the other guys from prying for details. Ace saw Leo and Yuuto look at each other, huge smirks grew on their faces, he knew trouble was brewing.
“C’mon Bryce-man, whatever happens here stays here,” Yuuto said devilishly. “Exactly, don’t be shy to spill the beans of what you and Ace did last week,” Leo added cheekily. The two started giggling like little kids. Zayne was a bit amused at the situation, while Derek and Avan gave disappointing looks and knew how this little joke would blow up in their faces.
“Listen here doofus and dimwit,” Bryce said angrily, “What happened with me and the dork is none of your fucking concern. So shut the hell up and mind your business,” after that, Bryce was clearly flustered and crossed his arms, giving the two a bit of a death glare.
After a few minutes of silence, Jacques broke the tension trying to change the subject.
“While everyone is here, I just wanted to quickly touch base and see if there were any sudden schedule changes for the remainder of the semester,” Jacques said a bit nervously.
For the most part, no one had any major changes towards their schedule and availability. There were a small change or two, but they could easily be worked around. After Jacques confirmed everything, Bryce’s phone went off and he checked what came through, after reading the message an annoyed sigh came out of his mouth.
“Everything all right, Bryce?” Derek said in his calm tone. Only someone like Bryce couldn’t be infatuated by Derek’s demeanor.
“Tch, not that it’s any of your concern dweebs, but now I have shit to do for the foreseeable future,” Bryce spat out.
“Oh, and why’s that?” Derek replied.
“Ugh, Coach just told me our lightweight champ tore his ACL or something. Basically he’s out of commission for the rest of the season. Coach also wants my help to find a replacement on such short notice, fuck my life,” Bryce said very annoyed, now leaning back over his chair.
Zayne has long since put the pieces together of what Ace and Bryce were up to during the break; he decided to use this knowledge to give a gentle push to solve Bryce’s problem.
“Fret not Bryce, I believe I have the solution to your problem,” Zayne said cunningly.
“What are you on about?!” Bryce spewed angrily with a hint of desperation.
“I may know someone who has interest in joining, I think you may know them as well,” Zayne replied with a small smirk.
“Who the hell could you know that also knows me as well, dipshit,” Bryce retorted.
Zayne said nothing in return. He then briefly gave a glance at Leo and Yuuto. The two were initially confused, but soon got who Zayne was referring to. They both get a big grin on their faces and turn to face the angry ginger.
”Oh yeah, I know who Z-Man is talking about too. He would be a great fit.” Yuuto said with a bit of a giggle.
“Yeah, I think you two would have a lot of chemistry,” Leo added with a smile.
“Ok, enough fucking around! Who on earth are you three idiots talking about?!” Bryce scowled.
Even though Ace, Avan, Derek and Jacques have been just listening, they’re also quite curious who they’re talking about. They also take a look at the three to see their response. With all eyes on them, Zayne, Leo and Yuuto look at each other briefly, ready to drop the bombshell, and begin a small countdown.
“Three… two… one…” they say incrementally, still with smiles on their faces.
“Ace!” They declare loudly and proudly, then returning back to smirking expressions on their faces afterwards.
The rest of the guys are a bit shocked. Unsurprisingly, Ace and Bryce being the most surprised, having their mouths open ajar briefly. Derek and Avan looking at each other giving the other a “You heard that too, right” look. Jacques is initially in a bit of shock but quickly regains his composure, and rests his head on his folded hands, waiting to see what’s next.
“W-what?! I-“ Ace says in a shocked tone, while pointing to himself.
“Are you guys fucking kidding me?! The team is gonna be dragged down by the dork. All he knows how to do is be a perv and direct porn,” Bryce scowled.
Derek and Avan decide to try to de-escalate the situation before it gets too heated.
“While I understand you guys had good intentions, this might not be a good idea,” Derek said cautiously.
“Also Ace’s lack of experience is going to get him knocked into submission real quick,” Avan added in a stern tone.
Before anyone else is able to interject or counter, someone decides to raise their voice, by getting up and slamming their hands on the table. Everyone else looks into the direction where the sudden movement came from.
“Who says I can’t at least try?! I just need to train and practice,” Ace says in a confident tone.
“Tch, it’s not as easy as I make it look dork.” Bryce replied in a cocky attitude, folding his arms.
Before Ace can respond, Bryce has already got up, grabbed his stuff and just about to head out the door.
“Anyways, got places to be and people to see that aren’t… here. See ya chumps,” Bryce says nonchalant as he exits the building.
Before anyone else can react, Ace grabs his bag and is running out the door. Before the door fully closes, the others can hear Ace trying to call out for Bryce. After the door is fully closed, there is a mix of silence and tension in the air, with the rest of the guys trying to process everything. Eventually Jacques once again breaks the silence and decides that they should wrap up considering what just happened, everyone agrees. Derek tries to help Jacques clean up, but Jacques insists he’s got it handled.
Meanwhile
“Bryce, wait up!” Ace said trying to catch up, but being considerably out of shape was not helping him.
After a bit of this, Bryce begrudgingly stops to let Ace catch up. While waiting, he turns around to face Ace and crosses his arms. Ace finally catches up and while catching his breath, Bryce starts talking.
“Heh, not bad dork. But it’s gonna take way more effort than that if you really want to join,” Bryce chuckled.
“Look, just because catches breath again just because I don’t have much to work with, doesn’t mean I can’t at least give it a try,” Ace replies, still trying to catch his breath a bit.
“Whatever, dork. If you seriously want to keep talking about it, can we at least do it somewhere more private?” Bryce said casually.
“Sure, my dorm is like 10 minutes away, probably much closer than Dionysus House, let’s go,” Ace said in a chipper tone.
The two head over to the freshman dormitory. Luckily, since it’s a bit later in the evening, most students are out or staying in their dorm for the rest of the night. They reach Ace’s single room, when they enter they toss their bags on the ground. Ace sits down on his bed, and offers Bryce the spot next to him, and he begrudgingly accepts.
“So what else did you want to talk to me about joining?” the small man asks.
Bryce takes a quick glance at the door, and then without any further hesitation, he grabs Ace’s face and starts making out with him. Ace takes a sec to process before throwing his arms around Bryce’s neck and going with the flow of the kiss. After a bit of passionate kissing, they fall over into Ace’s bed. About five minutes later they stop to catch their breaths and process what just happened.
“Eager aren’t we?” Ace said in a disoriented tone.
“Yeah, I-I don’t know what came over me-“ Bryce was saying before being cut off by Ace.
“I honestly loved it. Surprised it didn’t happen at all last week,” Ace said with a hungry smile.
“I-I just didn’t think of going through with it till now,” Bryce said blushing.
“Maybe you should do it more often~” Ace said with a smirk.
“Well, hehe, if you insist,” Bryce said proudly.
The two started to make out again, and in the middle of it, they kicked their shoes off. Then they started to crawl under Ace’s sheets to get comfy. After they finished, Ace turned around and got into the little spoon position, and then they started cuddling. Occasionally also giving each other forehead kisses. After about an hour, Bryce gently lifted the sheets and started to slowly get out of bed.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Ace said in a dejected tone.
“As much as I would love to stay with you all night, we have stuff to do tomorrow,” Bryce replied in a resilient tone.
“Oh yeah, I almost forgot,” Ace said nervously, blushing a bit.
“There’s the dork I know and love,” Bryce said compassionately, as he ruffled Ace’s hair a bit.
“Meet me at the arena after lunch and then we’ll get started”, he added in an earnest tone.
“Alrighty. Good night then, my firecracker,” Ace chuckled
“Sigh what am I going to do with you. Goodnight, baby boy,” Bryce replied lovingly.
Bryce then got his shoes back on and grabbed his stuff. But before heading out, he looked back at Ace and gave him a wink. Ace reacted all flustered and giggled a bit. Bryce headed out to plan out for tomorrow, while Ace was still in awe about all that happened. After a bit he got up and started getting ready for bed. After he got all tucked in, but before he could fall asleep, he couldn’t stop thinking about all that transpired and what Bryce had planned for tomorrow.
