Chapter Text

Caroline’s POV

“God, i can’t believe i'm doing this” i muttered as put on a pink shirt, jeans, and my jean jacket

I had a date with Klaus Mikaelson today because I was in his ‘debt’. He told me to dress casually, and that he would pick me up at 2. It was currently 1. I started wondering why I was so excited for today. I hated him, didn't i? Anyways, i decided i have time to do my hair an makeup, since i had another hour until he arrived. I curled my hair and was about to start my makeup, when i heard a knock on my door. Using my vamp speed, i went to the door and opened it

“Hello, love” Klaus greeted me with his usual accent, “you look quite ravishing today”

“Thanks. You're here…30 minutes early” i said as i checked my watch

“Well you seem like you've been ready for awhile, love. May i come in?”

I forgot he hasn't been invited in yet “ sure. Ill get my mom to invite you in” i said before walking off in search of my mom

5 minutes later, i walk back with my mom and she invites him inside without a second thought.

“Hes charming” my mom whispered to me, and Klaus smirked, having heard with his vamp hearing

“Thank you for letting me take your daughter on a date, sheriff” Klaus said to my mom, and she smiled at him

“Please, just call me Liz. do you guys want anything to drink?”

“Yes, actually. Some water would be nice” Klaus replied and Liz went off to get water

Klaus’s POV

As Liz came back and handed me the water, she looked at me weirdly, almost as if she was watching me. I shook it of and took a drink of the water, but i spit it out immediately, as it felt like acid was going down my throat. Liz pulled her gun on me and i put my hands up

“Vervain? Really?” i asked as i looked at her

“Who are you and what do you want with my daughter, you filthy bloodsucker!?” she yelled at me

I sigh and extend my hand to her “Niklaus Mikaelson. Original Hybrid. All i want to do is take your wonderful daughter on a picnic date”

“Did you know who he was?” Liz asked Caroline

“...yes. I knew. But-”

“Don't you dare ‘but’ me young lady. He is dangerous and cruel and a filthy bloodsucker”

“He isn't the only ‘filthy bloodsucker’ in this house, mom.”

Chapter Text

Kol’s Pov

I grabbed Davina’s hips, her thighs straddling mine. Davina’s soft lips sucking marks along my neck while my hands traced up her back. Davina fists the edges of my shirt, tugging it over my head in a fluid movement. Davina moves back to being chest to chest with me, pressing kisses down the column of my neck and down my chest. All of a sudden, a phone starts ringing, I groan, pulling my phone out of my pocket and seeing Nik’s contact pop up.

“What is it, Nik? I’m a little…busy” i answered the phone, holding back a moan as Davina sucked on a particulalry senstive spot

“Its about Caroline. She’s in danger” Klaus’s voice rang through the phone, worry filling his voice

“Deal with it, Nik. im busy. She cant be in that much danger.”

“Her mom found out she’s a vampire, and her dad…he found out too”

I get Davina off my lap and get on my shirt “I’ll be there as soon as i can. Where should I go?”

“Go to the Mystic Grill. Bring Davina” Klaus said before he hung up

Goddamit. Why does he have to care so much about her?

Klaus’s Pov

Why cant Kol just hurry the fuck up? Caroline is in danger because her stupid dad found out she’s a vampire.

“Nik! Im here!” Kol called, and i rushed to him and Davina, their faces flushed

“Took you long enough. Lets go. Pick her up, cause we have to be fast” i told Kol, and he picked her up bridal style. We ran with Vamp speed and Kol followed me to the old Lockwood estate “shes here. In their old…vampire dungeon”

Kol nods and we head down the stairs, before hearing Carolines earsplitting scream pierce the air. My haw clenches and i run to where i hear her scream, hearing her dad talking

Caroline’s Pov

“You need to learn to control it, princess” Bill said, as he held an open blood bag up to my mouth. I tried to fight it, wanting the torture and pain to stop. But no matter how hard i tried, the red veins around my eyes showed, and i struggled against the vervain ropes, wincing in pain the the acid-like burn

“Dad, please…it hurts…i wont hurt anyone” i pleaded, tears falling down my face

“Im sorry, princess…this needs to be done to save you” he said softly as he pulled the chain, lifting up the metal window shade and letting sun it. It felt like i was on fire as i screamed in pain. The sun burned my skin as i tried to get away from it. But the vervain ropes only made it more painful. He finally stop holding the chain, and the matel window shade closed. I sit there and cry, tears streaming down my face like a waterfall.

Klaus Pov

I hear her sobs echo through to walls, and i run as fast as i can to find her. Eventually, i find the place shes in and i barge in, breaking the door. The look of shock on Bill’s face doesnt even register in my mind as i see Caroline’s face. Tears are streaming down her face and she has a look of hopelessness on her. I can see the blood on her back from the continued sunlight and burning and i walk over to her. I kneel down in front of her and grab her chin, making her look at me.

“Davina. Get Bill into a circle he cant get out of. Now” i demanded angerly “Kol. make sure Davina succeeds for once”

“Okay. we will. Take care of your girl” Kol said as he grabbed Bill and dragged him out, Davina following him

“Klaus” I heard Caroline say in a broken whisper “it hurts…”

I quickly untie her and then grab her, taking her into my arms “i know…i know it hurts. Im gonna get you out of here. Youre safe now” *i whispered in her ear as she clung to me. I pick her up, my arm going under her knees, the other supporting her back, as her head rests on my shoulder.

I carry her from the room in my arms, feeling her cling to me like a lifeline. I walk out of the dungeon, and use my vamp speed to get us to the Salvatore boarding home.

“Damon!!! Stefan!!!! Let me in!!!!” i yelled, wanting to get Caroline somewhere safe

Damon comes running to the door and opens it “come inside. Kol told us you were coming with Caroline”

I rush inside with Caroline, laying her down on the couch and taking a step back, anger filling my eyes as i went in search of Bill. i find him in a circle Davina had made and i break the circle. I stalk towards Bill, bite my wrist, and force feed him my blood. Once i know he has had enough, i snap his neck, and his body falls limp to the ground

Chapter Text

Klaus

Once we get Caroline stabilized, I pick her up bridal style and use my vampire speed to bring her back to New Orleans. Once we arrive, I bring her to the Mikaelson compound and up to my room. Once there, I lay her down on my bed, pulling the blankets over her before sitting on the edge.

After about 30 minutes, she turned to face me, and shifted closer. She was still asleep, but my heart began to race. After about 5 more minutes, she moved closer again, her head now resting in my lap. My hand instinctively went to her hair, my fingers running through the strands. I felt her head lean into my touch, and I smiled, happy to be having this moment with her, even if it only lasted for a couple minutes. My sister Rebekah walked in, and I looked up at her. She gave me a questioning look, as if asking ”What’s Caroline doing in your bed?”

Just as Rebekah was leaving the room, Caroline starts to stir and her eyes flutter open. I look down at her, as she adjusts to her surroundings. Then, her head lifts and she sits up, looking at me.

”What happened?” She asked, her eyes focused on mine

”Your father tried to ‘cleanse’ you from your vampirism. I called Kol and Davina to come and help. Once they came, we found you, and i gave Bill over to Kol and Davina, while I saved you. Then I brought you back here, you slept while you healed, and here we are," I answered.

“Where is he?” she asked, sounding scared

”At the Salvatores house. Davina put him in a circle so he can’t get out,” i responded, leaving out the part where i had turned him into a vampire. That was when i noticed, she was still scared

”But, what if he gets out?” She said, her voice shaky

As I notice that her fear isn’t dissipating, I embrace her, trying to calm her down, “he isn’t going to escape. Davina is one of the most powerful witches I know. You’re safe with me,” I whispered in her ear.

She leans into me, her head on my chest, as her breathing starts to get back under control

”I’m supposed to hate you…” she mumbled

”And yet, you don’t seem to”

Freya

I got home with Keelin after our date, and we both heard whispering coming from Klaus’s room. We both decide to ignore it and head up to my room to have a movie night. Once we reach my room, I open the door, only to find Rebekah in there, with her shoes still on as she lounges on my bed.

”Get off, Rebekah,” I said, annoyed that me and Keelin’s movie night was ruined

Rebekah smirks at me, before getting off the bed, “sorry, didn't mean to ruin movie night,” she said as she walked out of my room, closing the door behind her

Keelin grabs my hand and brings us over to my bed, sitting us both down, our backs against the headboard. I sigh and grab the remote, putting on our favorite show, “F.R.I.E.N.D.S”. I drape my arm around her shoulders and pull her closer, her head resting on my shoulder as I pulled the blankets over us.

Caroline

Eventually, I start to get hungry, and my fangs itch to sink into something. I move closer to Klaus, trying to distract myself. I think Klaus noticed, though, because he moved me so my back was against his chest, and he put his wrist in front of my mouth.

“Go ahead. You need it and I've got plenty to spare,” he said, moving his wrist a little closer to my mouth, motioning for me to feed from him

I look up at him, silently asking him if he’s sure, and he nods. So, I wrap my hands around his wrist, bringing it to my mouth. Once his wrist reaches my mouth, my teeth sink in. I hear him wince slightly, but I drink anyways. He holds me against him and whispers words in my ear, but it doesn’t even register in my mind as I hear his blood rushing through his veins. After I’ve had my fill, I pull away, watching as his wrist heals as I let go. I turn so I’m sitting sideways, sitting between his legs as I thank him and tuck my head under his chin.

Eventually, I fall asleep, my head still tucked under his chin, and sitting between his legs.
Klaus

I watch as she falls asleep, her eyes flattering her shut, her breath evening out, and her limbs relaxing. I smile to myself, happy she was relaxed. Then, out of nowhere, Kol bursts in, followed by Davina

”What the bloody hell did you do, Nik?” Kol said to me, his voice dripping with anger. I hold Caroline closer and try to keep her sleep

”And may I ask what I supposedly did?” I asked, my fingers running through Caroline’s hair to keep her asleep

”Bill got out…because the circle was broken. And you wanna know what else? He was a fucking vampire!!!”

I try to stay calm, remembering what I had done out of rage, “and why do you believe its my fault?”

”Because he harmed Caroline, and you would neve let that go”

”Fine. I turned him. But only because he needed to see what it fucking felt like to be a vampire. He deserved it anyway”

Caroline starts to wake up from the voices, and I tried to get her to fall back asleep, but it was too late, as her eyes were already open

”What’s going on?” She asked, looking up at me

”Your father… he’s escaped” Davina said quietly

Caroline stands up immediately “no…no no no…he can’t. He was in the circle” shape said, panicking

I notice her panicking and I stand up, walking over to her “it’s okay…you’re safe here. We won’t let anything happen to you” I whispered as I reach her

she looked at me, her eyes wide with fear. I grab her and hold her, trying to calm her down as i whispered soothing words in her ear
