“I’m gonna pose a new hypothesis that I don’t think you’ve ever been kissed.”
Jules’ fists tightened at their side watching Allie prance around with her idiot boyfriend and idiot friends. They turned and saw Delilah standing behind them. She was still. Her eyes were wide and she avoided Jules’ gaze
Then there was Allie. She danced around the classroom dragging Ryan with her but Jules honestly didn’t make out any of the words. If they did, they probably would be in Principal Hess’s office for ripping out Allie’s hair. Now, they just stood there in silence
“I don’t think you’ve ever been kissed.” It reverberated in Jules’ mind. They swore she winked at them and it made their blood boil. They were going to kill her. They eventually came back to reality and tried to get back to the lab so the Delilah until Martin pushed them out of the way. If his mom was a shrink, she definitely wasn’t a good one if her kid turned out like this.
Jules listened to the cheesy pick up lines while Allie twirled Delilah’s hair in her hand, staring at Jules the whole time. They had enough and walked out of the classroom, leaving them all behind to torment Delilah.
All their years of bullying at Allie’s hands could not be more traumatic than what they saw in the principal’s office while trying to find Mrs. Brown. She handed Jules a 20 dollar bill to keep quiet while adjusting her push-up bra, winking at Principal Hess before following Jules. They would not be able to unsee that.
Then everything went wrong. Or in Allie’s case she got exactly what she wanted, just like she always did. Delilah hit Allie in the nose with her book while trying to get it back and with Jules’ luck it was the exact same time they walked in with Mrs. Brown. They walked with Delilah to the principal’s office and waited for her outside of the school psychiatrist’s office as well.
“Why are you still here?” She had asked
“My lawyer says I don’t have to answer that question.” and then Delilah walked away. They fucked up like they always do.
Then Allie came out of the nurse’s office, ice pack in hand. She was alone for once. Jules glared at her once she noticed them.
“Sorry Delilah doesn’t like you back. Guess Delilah doesn’t like theys or whatever you are”
she giggled and walked away until Jules grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her around.
“What’s your fucking problem?”
“Excuse me?”
“I get why you hate me, I guess. But leave Delilah alone.”
“Awe, defending your girlfriend?”
“I’m being a good friend. Something you just don’t understand do you?”
Allie rolled her eyes
“I’m sorry but I just can’t be friends with lesbian freaks.”
“Didn’t think that when you kissed me did you?”
Allie froze, her pink heels trembling for a moment.
“Say that again and I won’t be breaking any knees on accident”
Next thing Jules knew they were in the janitor’s closet, face covered in pink lipstick.
“I hope Delilah broke your nose”
They said while Allie hit the wall and almost knocked over a tower of cleaning supplies.
“Pick a fucking gender”
Allie’s lips crashed against Jules’ again.
“Bitch”
Jules’ hands were in her hair.
“Freak”
Allie grabbed at their battle vest.
“Slut”
Jules’ black lipstick stained Allie’s lips.
“Lesbo”
Allie said, pulling away.
“Lesbo”
Jules said with a smile and Allie tried so hard not to smile back. Jules was a much better kisser than Ryan.
“Shut up. This isn’t gay because you’re not a girl.”
“Whatever you say.”
