“A tell all book, really, mate? How much *all* did you tell?”
Geraint rolled his eyes in an exaggerated manner, making sure it was visible to Luke over FaceTime. “It’s an autobiography, mate, it's not like it's the Daily Mail. What are you worried about anyway?”
Luke sighed in a similarly exaggerated manner. “Tom said you confessed to fucking a teammate, for one.”
“Had a lot of teammates over the years, mate,” Geraint said. “I didn't say who it was. People could think it's Cav or Froomey or whoever.”
“Aside from the fact that you have fucked Cav and Froomey - I heard all about your threesome in Miami by the way - I think there's really only one obvious person here. What with the pod and all.”
“Who told you about that?” Geraint asked.
“Cav, when we were taking the piss over a few beers a while back. You know how he is when he's had a couple.”
Cav never could keep his mouth shut when he was well oiled.
Luke continued, “I know it's an open secret in the peloton, but mate, my mum is going to read your book.”
“Pretty sure your mum already knows, mate,” Geraint said. “You remember that time, when was it, 2009-”
“That's not my point,” Luke interrupted. “G, I love you, but sometimes, you're a real idiot.”
