blueberror angst :3

Summary:

wrote this in my notes app so don't expect perfection but here is some blueberror angst, blueberror while in the anti void.

Notes:

referring to blueberror as "blue" since he wasn't actually given that name until he settled in the omega timeline

Work Text:

how long had Blue been waiting for Error to return?

Maybe a few days.
Maybe weeks or months.
Maybe a bare few minutes.

Nothing but an endless space of pure white for as far as you could see. The void had no indications of how much time had passed, how long he had endured this torture.

It was hard to keep his focus off the current situation when all his thoughts were consumed by the white around him. At some point it had became hard to differentiate when he was awake or asleep; all he dreams off was the white around him doing the exact same thing as when awake. Sitting around hopelessly and praying for an end to this suffering.

Blue had been sitting on the floor for quite a while, there was no use getting up. There wasn't anything, he'd just give himself false hope if he believed he had stumbled upon something.

At times he could swear he saw things in the corner of his eye, yet maybe it was just his mind trying to find anything to keep him from losing himself completely.

Blue hadn't felt like himself for a while now, both mentally and physically. The color of his clothes looked different, but his assumption was that it was once more just his mind playing tricks on him; his eye sight going haywire wouldn't be the strangest thing he had experienced since being abandoned here.

A strange stinging sensation hit his body. Blue sits up straight, taking a proper look at his hands for the first time in as long as he could remember. He takes his glove off slowly and stares at his hand.

It seemed as if parts of his body were almost breaking off.
It looked almost glitched in a sense.
It looked too much like Error.

This couldn't be happening, he must just be going insane, that must be it! There was no way he would ever become anything similar to the one who had caused this in the first place.

A question remained in his mind, why didn't Error just kill him alongside the rest of his universe? Death would have been better than whatever this place forced him to put up with. Although it was difficult to keep a straight line of thought. If that or his memories beginning to get tangled up was worse was certainly debatable.

Blue holds the soul close to him, wondering if he would ever be able to keep the promise of leaving this place. He didn't know if the human could actually hear him or not, but for a while he had kept talking to the soul in hopes of keeping himself sane. Yet with no response he might have as well been talking to himself.

Suddenly a noise cuts through the silence. Blue looks up to view what had just caused the abrupt noise, only to find a distorted portal just a few inches away from him.
