What are you to me?

Summary:

Amity doesn’t know how to describe the abomi-human-in her diary, but she’ll figure it out.

Or: Just Amity writing in her diary about Luz.

Notes:

I can’t rewatch season 1 so if there’s a mistake anywhere or Amity is a bit too in love with Luz than she supposed to be at this point lmk-

Work Text:

Amity liked working at the library, but what she liked more was her secret spot behind the bookshelf. It was comfortable and away from her parents where she could just read the Good Witch Azura books and have nothing to worry about.

Unfortunately she wasn’t doing either of those things.

She grabbed her diary from her bookshelf and sat down in her beanbag chair.

Dear Diary…

Where does she start? A lot of stuff happened since she last wrote in here.

So the weird abomination witch hybrid thing Willow used for her project was actually a human.

That’s a sentence she’d never thought she’d write.

Her name is Luz, and she’s training to be a witch. A human, learning magic? I didn’t think that was possible until she did a light spell using paper. Not that it was impressive or anything! A baby could do a light spell!

Her face seemed a little warm as she scribbled the last line, then erased it and wrote it again when it came out a mess, trying to justify this weird feeling she had. She decided to focus on something else.

It was kinda similar to how we do spells. I wonder if she needs the paper exclusively or if it was a one-time thing. Or maybe she just tricked me to get out of the binding spell. Right, that must be it!

Her words were probably nonsense at this point, but she kept writing anyways.

I wonder what she’s doing right now. Maybe learning another spell? She does know more than one right? Or making a bunch of light spells and watching them float around…lighting up her room…her pretty brown eyes lighting up in awe of what she created…her, she did that…just like a witch.

She shook her head and drew a line over the last sentence. Maybe the front desk has some white out or something.

Ugh, can I write about something else, anything else besides that human? Oh right, I still can’t believe Willow took my start from me. That was my thing! I’m the top student around here!

On second thought, maybe I’ll go reread the Good Witch Azura series for the 20th time. Bye now!

-Amity Blight.

P.S: This is my last entry with the human in it. Absolutely. No more Luz the human.

Definitely.

And it seemed like her break was up. Time to go back to work and forget about this whole thing. She put her diary back and left her hidden room.
