Work Text:
It was night time, a certain teenager's window opened wide to the night sky to let the cool air of the night inside and showed a beautiful scenery of the night sky with stars scattered across it all in full view with no clouds in sight.
A very pretty sight that the teenager had, once upon a time, sleep upon it when he laid his eyes on it as a child.
He sighed to himself.
It was such a shame that even these beautiful scenery that laid out before him couldn't get him to sleep like before.
Before, back when he was still a child he hadn't much worries to mull over, to even think twice of his own actions like every child in the world but now? Now he have too much worries to even count on one hand and every actions he took always came with its own consequences that always lead to something devastating no matter what choice he choose and no matter which road he take.
If all road lead to ruins which road will you take? And if all choices have it's own consequences with some more devastating than the others what choice will you made?
"I don't know" He whispered to himself.
He don't know. He really didn't know what he would do.
And so, he decided to pray.
Boboiboy let his feet touch the cold wooden floor of his bedroom, braving through the biting cold of the night to the bathroom located downstairs.
He went there, performed his usual ablution and went right back upstairs after he was done.
His eyes laid on Ochobot when he was about to lay out the prayer mat on the floor facing the kiblat, still soundly sleeping(?) in his charging station.
Safe and sound from everything---
"I don't want to eat Yaya's cookies, help me Boboiboy!" Ochobot suddenly shouted and threw himself upward from his charging station before he slowly descended into his charging station again and sleep peacefully as if he didn't suddenly throw himself upward while shouting something nonsensical.
The teenager blinked, befuddled. The prayer mat hanging loosely on his right arm slipped and landed on the floor in a heap.
Ochobot was still soundly sleeping.
Well, he mused as he picked up the prayer mat, At least in real life he was safe.
(Does robot even dream?)
Boboiboy unconsciously smiled to himself before he shook his head and told himself to focus on preparing himself to pray.
He stand before the prayer mat, straighten his position and make sure both of his feet were closed together before he began to pray.
A short prayer with only two rakaah but somehow that short prayer become something much more meaningful to him now than any other time he had done his obligatory 5 times a day prayer that every Muslims must done.
His eyes felt wetter and a tear fall from his eyelids surprising him. He admit, after he was done praying, he was feeling kind of stressed lately but it was still surprising for him to cry while praying.
But...it was calming. He surprisingly felt relief from everything.
It didn't erased his problems with everything of course but it was nice to embrace the calm he felt from this simple action of praying.
He lifted his hands to the air, recite a dua' deep from his heart, in a slow voice but he knows that even the quietest of voice could be heard by Allah.
All of his frustrations, all of his pent-up feelings, everything that he kept close in his heart, he laid it all bare before his God.
After he was done reciting dua' he looked at his digital clock, it was 2 a.m already but his eyes were still bright with no sleep in sight.
Boboiboy shrugged to himself, picked up the Quran and sat on the prayer mat again but this time he was leaning against the board
Well, he thought to himself just as he was settling himself in a comfortable position, if I couldn't sleep at all today I might as well filled my time with reciting the Quran.
And so, he opened the Quran and started reciting.
