Work Text:
Yellowine and Pinkerton are officially married, meaning they will move in together.
They are currently on their way to their new home.
“Hey Yellowine, how do you feel that we're married now?” Said Pinkerton.
“I feel great, Pinky.” Replied Yellowine.
Pinkerton gets surprised, he wouldn’t have expected her to call him “Pinky”.
“Did… Did you jus-”
“Yes.”
They finally arrived at their destination. They both get off the truck.
“Welcome to your new home, Mr. and Mrs. Pinkerton.” The mover said.
The house was an old Victorian home. It’s a dull-colored two story house with a stone pathway. The brochure said it had space for a garden, and an attic. Pinkerton says:
“Welp, ready to carry our stuff?”
“Mmm-hmm.” replied Yellowine.
“Sienna, can you help us?”
The mover, who is named Sienna Zest, nods and starts bringing packages.
Pinkerton and Yellowine do the same thing. As they enter, Yellowine asked:
“Hey Pinkerton, do you feel like there's something off about this house?”
“Hmm? Why do you ask?”
“Look at the interior! The wallpaper’s torn, the floor's creaky, and the basement has no door.”
“I get what you're saying, but I’m more concerned about that.”
“What do you mea- OH MY GOD!”
Yellowine sees something on the wall that wasn't there before. It was written in marker it said: “I KNOW WHAT YOU DID”
“P-Pinkerton? Is th-this what y-y-you were talking about?”
Yellowine was disturbed. Not because of the message, but rather the fact who wrote it, since no one was in there besides them.
“Who… Who wrote that?”
“I don't know but it's freaky.”
Yellowine stares at Pinkerton with fear. She had something to say to him.
“Can we get everything done already?”
“Alright.” Pinkerton replied.
They get all of their stuff into the house and unpack everything, except one thing. Their holiday decorations.
“Oh!” Exclaimed Yellowine. “We forgot the holiday stuff!”
“Damn, you're right!” Pinkerton said back.
The pair ran downstairs to get the stuff they left.
“Umm, isn't it midnight?” Sienna said before she heard something. She gasped.
“Wha- Who’s there?”
…
Yellowine and Pinkerton return after they get their stuff.
“Phew, that was close.” Yellowine said with relief.
“Heh… Yeah.” Replied her husband.
As they walk upstairs, they notice something of… The mover was gone.
“Oh no, that's not good.”
Although it might not look like it, they were absolutely terrified of what could’ve happened. Pinkerton shook his head.
“... Let's just go to bed.”
“Are you sure? The truck’s still out and-”
“You heard me!”
Yellowine accepted his order as both of them head to the bedroom. Not that it will be easy for them to rest but it's 12:55 so they had to.
Mr. And Mrs. Pinkerton fall asleep. Once they do, a strange shadowy figure comes out of the window. And stares at them, specifically Yellowine. It appr
oaches her silently, and says something ominous.
“I will get my revenge on you, Saffron.”
