Yoongi grumbled, not feeling the warmth of his alpha around him, he pouted as he slowly rolled over in bed taking care of his pregnant belly. He looked at the spot where Jimin once laid, feeling the sheets still warm so he had not been up long.
He sat up slowly wiping the sleep from his eyes before trying to tame his hair. He saw his slippers and a sweater were waiting for him at the foot of the bed and smiled. Slipping them on he took an inhale of the sweater, it was his but obviously Jimin had recently scented it for it was still strong. He smiled knowing how well he took care of him making sure his omega was pleased.
Opening the bedroom door and he was hit with a blissful aroma, his stomach growling pleased at the fact food was being made. As he grew closer to the kitchen he could hear the sizzle of bacon in the pan, smell freshly brewed coffee and something sweeter, maybe the french toast he had been craving.
As he rounded the corner he saw Jimin dancing around the kitchen to some song on the radio as he cooked a feast. Fresh cut fruit, bacon, eggs, coffee and indeed french toast. His scent blossomed, making Jimin spin around with a smile.
His heart swelled in his chest out of all the smells in the kitchen Jimin was able to pinpoint his and it still brought on the most beautiful smile he had ever seen. Jimin finished plating what he was cooking before walking over to Yoongi and pulling him in for a soft kiss. “How is my baby this morning?”
Yoongi hummed with a smile. “Me or the one in my belly?”
Jimin giggled. “Both, how are both of my babies?”
Yoongi pouts. “Well at first we were sad you weren’t in bed with us, but seeing how you lovingly prepared breakfast we are much happier now.”
A smirk blooms on Jimins face, Yoongi wants to be annoyed but he knows his Alpha knows he does well to care for him. Jimin pulls him to the table and starts loading up a plate for him. “Powdered sugar and syrup?”
Yoongi nods, he wasn’t usually big on sweets but the baby loved it so he had been having a bit more lately. He was so excited to dig into the french toast taking a bite with a pleased groan. “I thought we didn’t have any white bread?”
Jimin beams. “Well I know you like that one cafe, we go to where they make the bread for their french toast.”
Yoongi looked at the plate and at Jimin, either Jimin went to the cafe or he made the bread himself. Either would touch Yoongi. “What did you do?”
Jimin cooed as Yoongi looked at him in awe, a hand reaching out stroking his face softly. He hummed, leaning into Jimins touch. “Well I wanted to be able to give you what you love whenever you want, so I bought a bread machine, and got the recipe from the cafe.”
Yoongi just stared at Jimin before he burst into tears clinging to Jimin. “Oh my Alpha you are so amazing, you take so good care of me and your pup. I could already tell they love you so much, because the love I feel for you has doubled.”
Jimin holds Yoongi to him comforting him softly deep rumbles purring to soothe his omega, once his sniffles die down Yoongi pulls back about to say sorry for his emotional outburst but the loving look on Jimins face makes all the words die in his throat. He shook his head. “Why do you look at me like that?”
Jimin tilts his head, and it makes Yoongi chuckle cause all he sees is a confused puppy. “Like what?”
Yoongi smiles. “Like I am the most incredible thing you have ever seen.”
Jimin smiles and replies so simply. “That is because you are.”
Yoongi feels his chest explode with love as he leans in to give Jimin a soft kiss. “My sappy Alpha, I do not deserve you.”
Jimin shakes his head pulling Yoongi to his lap. “Oh but you are wrong, I do not deserve you. My most lovely Omega, and our beautiful pup.”
He strokes Yoongis belly lovingly and he cannot stop his pleased purse. Truthfully he doesn’t even want to. He wants Jimin to know he is utterly pleased and in love so he lets it radiate off him.
They finish eating their breakfast and Jimin refuses to let Yoongi lift a finger to help clean, instead he ask. “Are you feeling well enough to go out today? I have a surprise for you?”
Yoongi nods. “I feel good today.”
Yoongi is then shooed off to get ready while Jimin cleans up. Yoongi just feels warm and cozy with the love he is getting from Jimin. It is truly no different from any other day, and everyday he is reminded how truly blessed he is because his Alpha goes out of his way to make sure he knows he is loved.
He goes to the bedroom to clean up and get dressed, seeing in the bathroom his favorite care products have been restocked. His shampoo, body wash and lotion, continuing to make his heart full to the brim. Jimin doesn’t have to do loud acts of love; these simple ones here send his heart into orbit.
He quickly got himself cleaned up and ready before going back out to see Jimin on the couch waiting for him. He barely entered the room when Jimins eyes were on him with a warm smile, he loved how he knew when Jimin was thrilled to see him. Despite their years together he would smile and his eyes would all but disappear because the smile just took over his face.
He remembered the first time he met Jimin, they bumped into each other in a coffee shop. Yoongi was frazzled and annoyed having had a bad run in with an Alpha earlier that morning. Jimin was different from the start, his hands were on him steadying him and once he saw Yoongi was okay he quickly let go, respecting his space.
Yoongi was ready to glare but the sweet concerned face he was met with when he finally made eye contact made his breath woosh right out of him. Jimin apologized profusely when they were both at fault, Jimin would only take the blame on himself. He offered to buy Yoongi a coffee as an apology and Yoongi found himself agreeing without much thought.
That was the first time he received Jimins smile, and in that instant he knew he was done. Cursing everything and thanking the stars at the same time. He always said no Alpha would make him a puddle but Jimin just being Jimin made him do things he thought he never would.
So as he stepped into their living room Jimin smiled like it was the first time he just shook his head with his own grin taking over his face. Jimin stands from the couch walking over to him, Yoongi can only smile waiting for him. Jimin takes his face softly in his hands and his eyes shine with adoration. “I love you so much baby.”
Jimin never stops saying it, and even if he didn’t Yoongi would just look at him and know that Jimin was absolutely head over heels for him. He gives him a soft kiss before taking his hands. “All ready to go?”
Yoongi nods. “But where are we going?”
Jimin just shakes his head with a smile. “It’s a surprise.”
Yoongi huffs and rolls his eyes in fake annoyance but lets Jimin tug him out the door anyway. They easily make it on to the subway, and Yoongi is thankful for the pregnancy seats so he doesn’t have to stand. He is also thankful for how Jimin cages him in, keeping everyone else away from him.
Despite them being similar in size, Jimin has a glare that would scare anyone. If someone were to even breathe near Yoongi wrong he would have their head. While Yoongi would never condone violence knowing Jimin would burn the world down for him makes him feel absolutely adored.
Finally getting to their stop Jimin helps Yoongi off and they walk through the park. Yoongi loved the park so even this pleased him when Jimin pulled him in the direction of the zoo he got excited. He loved the animals and seeing them, they get to the gate with Jimin pulling out his phone. The staff greet them kindly. “Welcome to our special exhibit today! Here is a park map and the newest additions are to the right side of the park! We are pleased you can enjoy and welcome them with us.”
Yoongi tilted his head in confusion as Jimin pulled him inside. “Special exhibit? Is it a special zoo day?”
Jimin nods. “Yes in fact these tickets were pretty hard to get but I knew you just had to be here today.”
Yoongi is still looking at Jimin confused when Jimin stops looking ahead with a giant smile. Yoongi turns to see what he is looking at and there is a Giant Red Panda Statue with a sign that says “Welcome Ravi, Lian and Sei!”
Yoongi whips his head to Jimin. “Did they get lesser pandas!”
Jimin nods. “They were undergoing training to help them adjust to their surroundings and today is their first day where people can come see them.”
Yoongi practically flings himself at Jimin throwing his arms around him, his scent bursting with joy. “Oh my Alpha, you are so amazing. I love you so much you know me so well and do so well for me.”
Jimin giggles as he hugs him. “Oh baby, the whole day we have Red panda themed things. We have gift bags to pick up with plushies, shirts, and they will have talks about them. I even got you passes to be able to feed them.”
Yoongi has to stop himself from crying, it being a little bit of his pregnant hormones but also the overwhelming love he feels right now. “I didn’t even know they were here.”
Jimin lets out a breath. “Yeah you have no idea how hard it was not letting you see the news. I paid off our friends to keep their mouths shut and help me keep you from knowing.”
Yoongi giggles thinking of the lengths he went to, to maintain this surprise. Now Yoongi just wants to run and see all the things. Jimin just holds out his hand so Yoongi can eagerly be the one pulling him around now.
He follows the trail to the red pandas checking out the art and facts along the way. Yoongi pointed at the sigh. “Wow, the Red Panda was discovered in 1825. They were discovered before the traditional Panda and are actually seen as the first Panda!”
Jimin giggled at Yoongis excitement as he pulled him along for more. Jimin pointed at the next one. “Well this makes sense why you love them.”
Yoongi read it while making a face. Jimin just smiled “A nickname for them is ‘Red-Bear-Cat’ using their tongues to keep clean, and mamas will carry the cubs in their mouth by the scruff of their neck while curling into a ball. It's you babe.”
Yoongi pulls him along to the next one. “Oh god this isn’t helping me, they use their tails as pillows and sleep two-thirds of their day.”
Jimin smiles at him. “so maybe I need to call you my little lesser panda’”
Yoongi made a face but smiled. He doesn’t think he would complain about that so he lets it go as they move along. Yoongi was practically vibrating when he saw the enclosure come into view, Jimin tripping over his feet as Yoongi basically ran to the glass.
Two were tumbling over each other playing with a ball while the other was munching on some bamboo. He just looked in awe before he started to cry Jimins hand rubbing his pack with a concerned look on his face.
He looks at Jimin lovingly. ‘Thank you for bringing me to see this and they are so beautiful.”
Jimin just smiles and as Yoongi looks back he sees one of them teetering over to the glass. He kneels down with Jimins help to sit on his knees in front of the glass as the Red Panda approaches.
The Red Panda looks at him curiously seeing his belly and puts its paws on the glass as if its trying to touch it. It trills happily at his belly causing Yoongi to gasp as the pup in his belly kicks in response. Yoongi puts his palm on the glass and the Red Panda trills louder.
One of the handlers who has been outside answering questions is smiling. “Oh she likes you, we believe she may be pregnant as well so she is relating to you.”
Yoongi's lip trembled as Jimin knelt beside him pulling him in for a hug. “Oh baby, look at you two both of you pregnant cuties.”
He leaned into Jimin sighing happily as he controlled himself from sobbing at how cute the situation was. When they stood up the handler handed back Jimins phone as Yoongi looked at him. Jimin showed the picture of Yoongi pressed to the glasses with the Red Panda then Jimin holding Yoongi and Yoongi did cry then. “Can we print them and put them in the nursery?”
Jimin just nods. “Anything you want, baby.”
Yoongi sat longer with the Red Panda and as he finally got up she let out a whine as his leaving. Yoongi pouted as the handler asked them to come with her, the Panda following them along the glass as they walked. The glass grew shorter enough to reach over and hand bamboo to her which she trilled with excitement. Taking her bamboo trilling out a thank you before teetering away.
Yoongi looked at Jimin with a huge gummy smile on his face. “Thank you baby, this has been one of the best days.”
When Yoongi looked back over the other two Red Pandas had come over and were looking at him expectantly. He took more bamboo from the handler handing them over, trills coming from both of them as they scampered away with their treat.
Yoongi giggled watching them eat a bit, they thanked the handler before walking away. Yoongi squeezed Jimins hand. He always loved how his hand felt in his own. Jimin always looked at him with glittery eyes too, he could tell that Jimin was absolutely in love with him. Nothing ever made him doubt his feelings. Jimin smiled as he spoke “Are you hungry my love?”
Yoongi nodded he was always hungry but growing a pup took a lot of work. Jimin led them through the zoo, to where a bunch of food stalls were set up. Yoongi looked at them deciding which he wanted. “I think the rice cakes are fine.”
Jimin giggled. “Try them all if you want, it's all free included in the price of the ticket for today.”
Yoongis eyes widened a bit truthfully. He wanted so many different things but with all Jimin had done he didn’t want to abuse the kindness. Even though Jimin would have bought him one of everything, “Are you serious?”
Jimin nodded and before he could speak more Yoongi was dragging him from booth to booth. He would get something having a few bites before passing it to Jimin and trying the next thing. He had made it through four booths before he whined. Jimin, already knowing what he needed, led him over to a nice table. “Here you sit here and munch, I will go get the things from each booth and you can relax.”
Yoongi watched as Jimin walked around getting the various snacks and bringing them back so Yoongi could eat them when they were fresh. Since they were free the plates were a bit smaller so people could actually sample more items. Yoongis heart just felt full, Jimin was the perfect partner and Alpha.
He was the epitome of if he wanted to he would. He knows because Jimin always did, without fail he was there for Yoongi and supported him, lifting him up and encouraging him. He never had to wonder where they stood cause it was always loud. They were absolutely in love and over the years it only grew deeper.
When Yoongi first told Jimin he was pregnant the Alpha cried holding onto his belly. He was so thrilled to start a family together. Any worries of if they were ready or they could do this quickly vanished away. Yoongi knew since he had Jimin there was no trouble or problem they could not solve or get through together.
After eating their fill of the snacks, going back for the ones they really liked, Jimin took Yoongi to the specialized gift stop. They were allowed to pick between a stuffed plush, or a hoodie that made you look like a red panda with little ears. Yoongi didn’t even have time to think as Jimin requested one of each.
Yoongi looked at him. “What, we both get one, and now you have the hoodie and the plush.”
He said it so easily giving up the gift so Yoongi could have both. Yoongi held on to the plush, “This should go in the nursery too, for our little pup.”
Jimin smiled. “If that's what you want, baby? Do you want one of your own.”
Once again he felt warmth flood his heart as Jimin made him feel so seen and loved. He just shook his head. “No baby, but thank you. I have the photos, this hoodie, and I want our pup to have something from this day as well.”
By the time they were headed home Yoongi was wearing the hoodie holding the plush to his chest as he leaned on Jimin in the subway. He was barely awake and grumbled when they got to their stop. Jimin offered to carry him and Yoongi flushed at the thought and scampered to his feet.
He heard Jimins giggles an arm around him to keep him upright. That was where he felt safest and it didn’t matter where they were. When he was in Jimins arms he felt safe and protected he knew he was going to always be okay.
Tiredly trudging into the elevator he thought he just had to make it down the hallway, leaning into Jimins side he sighs happily the sweet scent of his mate enveloping him. He heard the ding alerting him to their floor and next thing he knew he was off the ground being carried.
He just wrapped his arms around Jimins neck as he carried him down the hallway, Jimins happy scent overtaking his senses making his own burst. The hallway filled with their joy, anyone was sure to tell two very happy mates were just in that space.
Yoongi was falling asleep before they made it back into the apartment, Jimin easily held him, opening the door before toeing off his shoes and kicking the door shut. He started to doze off as they reached the bedroom filling the soft bed surrounding him.
He whined when Jimins arms left him just to be met with a gentle coo and a patience my darling. He felt his shoes and jeans disappear to make him more comfortable before Jimin climbed in bed with him pulling him in his arms.
Sheets were draped over him, his hoodie still on and plush held tight between him and Jimin. His belly protected by both of them Yoongi smiled. Jimin made every single day magical, whether it was just simply enjoying each other's company or showing how devoted Jimin was to Yoongi.
Yoongi had no doubts that they were making the most perfect pup, and he couldn’t wait so they could both be equally devoted to their pup.
