After Loki switch side to the Avengers, it’s only right that he staying now at the Stark Towers. Actually, not everyone welcomed him in the beginning.
Everything about Loki make everyone uncomfortable on their seat. Clint, he still harbor hard-feelings about Loki, and it seems like will not go away anytime soon. Natasha, is no better. He is mad because Loki unleash Hulk near her and it almost killed her. Hulk, well, he did not appreciated included to the mess Loki made, so he stay away from the wizard most of the time.
Steve trying to be leader, yes, he hate Loki, but after Loki proving that his talent at magic considerably helping them in mission and many more things, he tried to make Loki fit as a team. It’s hard considering the god behaviour itself. He is mischief and likes to lie. Everyone have to be smart if they want to fish out information or something from him. It’s never easy.
Steve tried to be understanding because that was the nature of Loki to be mischief and evil sometimes. He reprimand Loki though if his pranks become potentially harmful to someone, but actually, Loki is smart enough in his pranks. He knows his target can handle it before pull the pranks.
He never pull indecent pranks to Peter since he was a kid. But everyone mad at him when all he did is to giving Peter spell that make a bullet comes out of nowhere at him whenever he says a something that can be considered bad words.
Why everyones mad? Its good to him to enhance his spider sense. And because Tony did not want his kid using bad words, mostly inspire this prank. But still, the kid managed to survive it for a day.
No one notice that Loki being considerate. For them he is just an evil being, that he doesn’t have a heart. Well, not entirely wrong but wrong.
Loki has a heart.
For Tony mostly.
Magic and Science is not something compatible to each other. Completely two different things and does not supporting the existence of each other. Loki and Tony is like that. Making their conversation often leads to nothing. It's hard go find the same common ground with Tony. But at least, one thing that matched him is, both is genius. And stubborn.
Loki is genius at magic. And he likes making things, maybe not with screwdiver or consisting much of codes and metal — but with certain element, spells, and media. Yes, Loki has to have media if he wanted to cast a spell.
Spell is not always compatible to the media. The media has to have capability to maintaining the spell until the conditions fulfilled to the spell unleashed.
It was silly.
But Loki thinking of making Love Potions. After his talk with Tony ended up with a lot of shouting and Tony refuse to meet him for at least a week, simply because Loki did not agree to his opinion. Why is midgardian so fixated on things that barely can help them? Midgardian is the weakest planet is for a reason. Human does not have special skill set outside of their brains that making them outstanding. They have to accept Loki advice to start adapting to alien tech!
But maybe that was offended Tony greatly. He is sure he can make something that match alien tech without Loki help. And that’s that.
Loki tired of being in that situation where he he and Tony is mad. He needs to... Needs to have Tony soft and all in his arms, need to feel the guy. He was desperate for it, but it was hard, considering how stubborn the man is. He always find a way to turn the talk into argument.
Loki has enough.
Usually, Loki will just making basic love potions if its just someone that he needs to conquer to a mission — mostly Loki achieve without Love Potion though — but Love Potion is the least damaging to a person. It will just giving wrong impression to someone, but not hurting. Can be stopped immediately.
Basic love potions will only need a little bit of Yggdrasil roots. Fine, for amateur or normal wizard — that not as genius as Loki — finding the roots will be hard.
But Loki is giving this love potions for someone important. So, he can’t use the usual recipe. The Wizard almost gone for a week to test every best media for love potion.
Yggdrasil roots is good. But it will giving Tony light headache and can be cancelled if someone reminding Tony that he did not like Loki.
And Loki finally find the right media. It was... Well, surprisingly enough, is Tony's cup of coffee. Something that will not leave trace because will gone to the genius body right away. Perfect?
The potion is simple :
Tony will love Loki for a day. Loki is not that greedy okay? If everyone find out that he put love potion on Tony, it will forgivable if he says that it was prank and will go away soon.
Loki impatient already. He wanted to know how it feels to be loved by Tony. The man he have crush on.
It’s easy to put the potion on Tony's coffee, using magic. See? Magic is convenient. After that, Loki just waits.
