Work Text:
There once was a young couple many years ago, the children of two well off farmers. As the son of their’s was born the mother had fallen in child birth.
The child had a great talent, for anyone that had tried to swindle him of money thy would be swindled thy selves. Many of traders screamed in rage through the child’s youth “DAMN YOU FITZY!!!”
As the child, now named Fitzy, made a saving attempt with his money. Fitzy’s father Kommok had helped the young boy gain his money on the farm, but disapproved of what he planned.
For Fitzy wished to learn the magic of Bardom.
It was in this time in which the young man had fought a strong resistance from his mind to take a plunge into the darkness of the caves, for they were merciless in its enchantments. The thunder bringer had saved young man wishing to be bard, and in return wished for something different from him.
9 months later the 17 year old Fitzy had a daughter with a miner deity. Somehow, the infant just showed up on his doorstep with a note.
And those began Fitzy’s first quest: Parenthood.
Once the child, now named Barmunda, reached the age of 3 her schooling was taken over by her grandparents for a week so Fitzy could go to the port and work his magic with business.
Sadly Fitzy was not seen by his daughter and parents since then, but Barmunda’s mother has reassured her in dreams that he was still alive and desperately trying to make it back home.
And Fitzy was trying to make it back home. It’s just that people kept on asking for his help as they thought of him to be a bardic adventurer.
Thus for the next 4 years Fitzy was going all over the place until he met a man by the name of Silvor. Silvor was a paladin of sorts and he and Fitzy hit it off. Fitzy’s goal of returning home to his daughter filled Silvor with inspiration (which just happened to be Fitzy’s first use of Bardic Inspiration) to help him find his way back home.
Over a year later when Fitzy and Silvor were tasked with scouting out some caves led to the two being locked up by goblins and fighting their way out.
And is where they meet the party.
