Ichika’s POV
It was after band practice that day, and I was bored, so I decided to go to the park that I and the others used to go to when we were kids late at night. It was 9:30, but it was never too late for some stargazing and nostalgia. “Wow… the stars look so beautiful tonight… I should take a picture to show to Saki! She would love this.” I assumed she was in the Sekai and pulled out my phone to click on the untitled file, I should get to renaming it.
“Huh? What’s this? ‘Untitled (1)’? Maybe Miku added part to the Sekai? She did say that since our emotions are growing, so will the Sekai… I’ll show Saki the photo later I need to check this out.” I clicked on the duplicate file and watched as the familiar triangles appeared around me and transported me to a different world. But something felt… wrong.
It didn’t feel as cheerful and full of color as before and the triangle’s color looked a bit greyish. But I paid it no mind, maybe Honami or Shiho was feeling down and it leaked into the Sekai. I’ll check on them after I check out this new expansion to the Sekai, if it even is one.
Once I got to our School Sekai the feeling of uneasiness felt stronger… there was no sadness, no fear, no anger. No single emotion could be felt from the atmosphere except a steady feeling of emptiness.
“Miku? Luka?” I called out, but no reply. “This place is giving me the creeps…! I should leave already.” I reached into my pocket for my phone but…
It wasn’t there.
