Summary
London is a city choking on secrets and the stench of old blood and the white men who control it. Mizu prowls the shadows in search of the man who fathered her. But Mizu isn’t the only hunter. The city’s underworld trembles at rumors of “the Fox” a masked vigilante leading a ragtag band of survivors, rescuing girls from the ships and brothels of Routely and Skeffington. Paths collide in the bloody alleys and ruined churches of London: Mizu and Kit, two outcasts haunted by the past, driven by the same hunger for revenge and justice. Distrust simmers between them even as necessity forges a grudging alliance. As they battle rival gangs, corrupt overseers, and the ghosts of their own histories, Mizu and Kit must decide if revenge is worth their humanity, or if there’s room, even in a city this rotten, to build something like hope.
