Before Hell Felt Like Hell

Summary:

Back in their young, pre-overlord days, Alastor Vox and Valentino actually got along. They share a tender moment at the restaurant where Alastor is being a gluttonous brat and Valentino shuts him up real quick.

Notes:

I really liked this concept aaaa. There might be more little drabbles with them, idk

Work Text:

There was a time when things were simpler and sweeter. A time before everything became complicated, and they could simply enjoy each other’s company.

A time before Hell felt like Hell.

Alastor, Vox, and Valentino all sat at a fancy restaurant together. Vox on his own side while the other two shared the opposite side. As they all talked and joked together, Vox couldn’t help but dote over the two men across from him.

As pleasant as the conversation was, it wasn’t enough to get Alastor’s mind off of food. He kept glancing over at Vox’s watch, sighing at the time. Tapping his nails on the table. Disengaging from the conversations, only contributing hmms when absolutely bothered to.

“Stop spoiling the mood, bebe ciervo!” Valentino laughed, “The food will be here soon!”

“Not soon enough. I’m starving.” Alastor grumbled under his breath. Glancing back at the door to see if the waiter would pop out soon. They didn’t.

His ears flicked to Vox’s hand patting the table. “Hey, why don’t we tell jokes to pass the time? What do you call a triangle that looks sharp? Acute one!” A deep chuckle rumbled in the moth’s giant chest while Alastor picked at his nails. Not even caring to widen his smile at th cheesy sort of joke that he adored. Vox leaned over the table with his head tilted. “Come on, you know you want to laugh!”

The sour puss pulled back in his chair. Narrow eyes warned of danger if things kept on this way. Maybe he would even eat Vox if he didn’t stop acting so peppy; it wouldn’t be the first time. Quiet intensity hung in the air as the two locked eyes. Their electrical signals buzzing against the other’s. Of course Alastor always won at these invisible battles, but at least toying with his opponent provided some sort of entertainment in this otherwise hopeless situation. Until suddenly there was a static pop between their heads. But instead of the usual victim getting the shock, it was Alastor whose hair stood on end.

“Oh my God! That’s too good!” Vox was quick to laugh and point, too excited about his rare victory to think about the imminent danger…or how he even managed to win in the first place. Alastor began shifting into his demon form. His presence looming over the table, silencing the object of his fixation. Until a static noise caught in his throat. His attention snapped to Valentino and the finger poking into his side repeatedly.

“Stop that! You already made me lose!” his voice layered demonically as he grabbed Val’s wrist firmly. The other hand prodded. It was grabbed too. Two more hands came in to attack those tender sides. Alastor cursed and squirmed, holding onto his anger for as long as possible. “D-Damn you! I said stop!”

Valentino cooed at the sweet antics. The way his target fought against the ticklish sensations that threatened to fix his terrible mood. “You’ve got such an attitude, baby! Come on and let papito fix it for you~” His massive hands engulfed Alastor’s dainty ones and pulled them above his head, allowing his second set to walk up toward the armpits. The position made the poor Radio Demon extra sensitive, but his teeth gritted in preparation to fight in spite of it. “So vicious!” Valentino teased as his fingers stopped just short of the armpits and walked back down. Earning another bout of wiggles and growls.

Certain spots definitely brought out more reactions. Only so much could be suppressed, and only for so long. Val’s knowing smile grew as he saw the small chinks in Alastor’s composure. The twitches. Involuntary wiggles. Hisses. Growls. Going into gentle lip bites to dam the noise that wanted to spill out. Pressing his face against his own raised arm to hide his shame. “I think a certain little deer is oh so sensitive. Come on, put on a show for Voxyboo while we wait~!”

“H-Huh! Wait!” but before Alastor could properly register what was going on, he was lifted into Valentino’s lap with his back pressed to the moth demon’s chest. Both of his arms were held up by one of Val’s hands while three others ghosted over his form. The fingers wiggled just above his body evilly. He felt a sensation of spiders crawling on his body even if there was no contact, making him squirm in anticipation.

“I’m not touching you! Stop being so dramatic baby~”

“Yes you are!”

“No, I’m not.”

“STOP IT!”

“Stop what?”

Vox smiled as they went back and forth in childish banter, finding them so adorable. He truly was lucky to have both of these darlings in his life.

The teasing hands slipped under Alastor’s suit jacket and squeezed on the soft body underneath. A most adorable bleat escaped and devolved into giggles. They rose in intensity the further up his body the evil squeezes traveled. “No no no- Stop it! I don’t want to look like a fool!”

“Then stop acting like one.” Valentino cooed in his ear. A playful nibble at the rim made the poor sinner laugh louder and squirm in his captor’s lap. Just like Vox thought: two adorable darlings. Teasing and playing with each other. Enjoying the attention and the company, despite what appearances may say. There was no hiding the way Alastor's tail wagged behind him. “Now…do you want to keep being a brat?” Valentino asked dangerously.

A playful glint came into the deer's eyes as they shot back. “What if I do?” Oh, how Vox wished he had something to eat with his show right about now. This was getting too good. The look on Val’s face promised some kind of slaughter, while his victim looked prepared to retaliate sevenfold. But the attack didn't come as expected.

Three free hands traced invisible shapes. One on the side, one on the hip, and the third travelling up the opposite arm. The triple threat that worked so beautifully against the young radio demon. “W-Why don't you just dig in? I know you want to!” Alastor wiggled his hip into one of the hands, almost daring it to do as he dared.

A wicked smile spread on his ler’s face, a shine on the golden tooth. “Because then you would escape the lovely little trap I prepared for you! Just relax!”

They went back and forth a while longer as the teasing hammered away at the sensitive nerves. The soft sensations breaking down their target in a way that rough ones never could. Slowly turning his mind into blissed mush, where his eyes floated back and his vocabulary turned into airy giggles. A stupid smile spread on his face.

“How do you feel?”

“Hmhm~ Good…”

Valentino noticed the blue blush on their audience’s face. Eyes fixated on the sight before him, mind too overheated. It was so cute. He truly was lucky to have these two darlings in his life.

“Good, huh?” he whispered into the fluffy deer ears, “Then how do you like this?” One hand shifted to target his belly. A single finger traced a delicate circle around the navel under his shirt. Slowly spiraling in at an agonizingly slow pace.

“Nohohoho! Noooo….stohohop!” Alastor’s voice protested weakly in a soft whine. More giggles than begging as his belly jumped under the other’s hands. Vox was paying more attention than ever. Steam almost rolled off his head.

“I’m not going to! You’re such a pretty little tickle toy! Just get that nasty attitude melted out of the way and all that’s left is a mushy gushy fawn!” Valentino cooed in a babying tone.

“Ahaham not!”

“Yes you are!”

Then his finger dipped into the button and lightly played along the walls. Really making Alastor melt into a precious pile of giggles and whining. His body pulled from side to side in a slow and half devoted sort of way. Face burning red. Flustered beyond comprehension as the ticklish sensations ransacked his belly.

Suddenly another voice.

“Someone ordered a beef burrito bowl?”

The sound of plates and silverware being set down pricked Alastor’s ears. His blush deepened another few shades.

“A pinky tender plate?”

“M-Mine…” Alastor’s voice sounded meek and small as his plate was set down too. And he was set down in front of it, with only one hand now on his body, tracing circles over the small of his back. The waiter smiled at him warmly before leaving, no hint of disgust in his eyes at all. Considering this was Hell, their little display was probably the least concerning thing they’d ever seen at a table. Wholesome, even.

“Did you learn your lesson on patience, baby?” Valentino leaned in to ask.

Alastor didn’t even have the heart to be bitchy. They all knew he liked these little teasing sessions far more than he let on. “I did,” he chuckled. The tickle-drunkenness still washed over his senses, leaving him happy and oddly relaxed. As they began to share their meal together, he looked between the other two.

A gentle giant who respected his boundaries. A fanboy who revered him and dreamed big. Wouldn’t it be nice if things stayed this way? If they could keep sharing these kinds of moments together? At least for now, Alastor shared the same sentiments as they did: He truly was lucky to have these two darlings in his life.

Even if for a moment, Hell didn’t feel like Hell.
