Chapter Text
Giants. These creatures were so terrifying that the mere mention of them would strike fear into the hearts of all who heard it and your village was no exception. The village was situated in the clearing of a large forest, a forest that was the home to at least two giants.
The people of the village knew that the giants needed to be appeased, lest they destroy the homes of humans, so the villagers started to sacrifice their best animals to them. Eventually, the people feared that it wasn't enough to give up their livestock, so there was a lottery to determine which human would be sacrificed to the giants with you as the unlucky one.
Your wrists and ankles were tied up so you couldn't try to escape and your mouth was gagged to prevent you from screaming for help. You were carried deep into the woods towards the altar where sacrifices were left by a few people, one of whom was your best friend. You thrashed in an attempt to break free from your bindings, but to no avail.
"I'm sorry," your friend whispered to you, "but this has to be done."
You would've cursed them if it wasn't for the gag covering your mouth, but all you could do was make muffled shouts. The villagers then placed you on the altar and quickly left afterwards, not wanting to be there when the giants showed up for their meal.
It was starting to get late into the evening and you started to hear howling. If the giants didn't get to you, the wolves would, and if the wolves wouldn't then starvation certainly will.
As you laid there, you started to mentally prepare for your inevitable demise. Various different scenarios started to play in your mind, but you snapped out of it when you felt the altar shake.
The shaking was weak at first, but it gradually grew more powerful. Also as if something huge was getting closer. You watched as an enormous figure was seen through the trees coming from a deeper part of the forest. The figure made its way up to the altar and you could see its massive humanoid features.
There was no doubt about it. This was one of the giants that your village feared standing there in the flesh.

You would have screamed if the gag hadn't prevented you from doing so. The giant stared do at you with a curious look on his face.
"They're giving humans now?" his voice boomed with a thick Russian accent.
You found yourself trembling in fear. This giant could do whatever he wanted and you were powerless to stop him. Then you felt him scooping you up into his enormous hand, his touch surprisingly gentle for someone of his stature.
"Here," the giant said, "Let's get rid of the ropes."
He started to mess with the ropes that that bound you, managing to pull them apart. The giant then pulled off your gag, allowing you to speak once again.
"P-please don't eat me," You begged.
"Eat you? Heavy does not eat tiny humans," he said. "They are too small and cute."
The giant, who you assumed was "Heavy", lifted you up to his face so that he could inspect and get a better look at you.
"W-what are you going to do with me?" You asked. "I'm supposed to be a sacrifice to you giants."
"Doktor has always wanted to see tiny human," Heavy said, "but we do not want to scare little ones like you. Don't worry, we will not harm you."
You watched as he lifted up his free hand and gently patted your head with the tip of his index finger.
"You said that you were supposed to be a sacrifice, yes?" the giant asked.
You nodded. "They were afraid that you would destroy the village and take our animals for food."
"That means they most likely won't want you to come back," he said. "It's getting late. You can stay with me and Doktor. We will take care of you like family."
The giant then gently put you into his pocket and gave it a soft pat.
"Call me Heavy," Heavy said.
"Th-thank you, Heavy," You replied nervously.

You could feel yourself swaying as Heavy walked deeper into the forest. Occasionally, he would peek at the pocket you were inside of in order to make sure you were doing alright.
"Are you cold, little one?" he asked kindly.
"A-A little," You replied, "but I'll be fine."
"If you insist," Heavy said, gently rubbing the top of your head with the tip of his finger.
This gesture was surprisingly comforting, despite how easily he could hurt you if he wasn't careful. You looked up at Heavy and he gave you a soft smile. The swaying motions Heavy made as he walked felt relaxing, which would have put you to sleep, but he patted the pocket before you were able to.
"We have arrived," the giant said as he pulled you out of the pocket.
After he put you in the palm of his hand, you could see that the two of you were standing in front of an enormous cave. There was light coming out from inside of the cave.
"Is there another giant in there?" You asked.
Heavy nodded as he made his way into the cave. "Doctor is resting inside. He would love to meet a human like you."
Once both of you were inside, you couldn't help but to be amazed by how huge the inside of the cave was while being cozy as well. It was then that you noticed another giant that was getting up from what you assumed was a gigantic makeshift bed. He wasn't as huge as Heavy but the size was still impressive.
"Oh, you have returned, Heavy," the second giant said as he approached. "What have you got there?"
You could tell that the new giant spoke with a German accent.
"The human village gave up one of their own," Heavy responded.
"I-I was intended to be a sacrifice so that you two wouldn't destroy the village," You butted in, feeling slightly nervous.
"Would you mind telling me you name, little one?" The other giant asked.
You nodded, and then proceeded to tell him your name.
"It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Medic," Medic replied.
He held out his finger similarly to how humans would offer their arm out for a handshake. You gently grabbed the tip of his finger and the two of you shook hands.
"You said that your village gave you up as a sacrifice, yes?" Medic asked.
You nodded. "We were afraid that the animals weren't enough to satisfy you."
"Is this because you humans are afraid of us?" he asked.
"Why wouldn't we be?!" You yelped. "You could easily crush us under your thumb if you so wished!"
Heavy and Medic looked at each other for a moment, then they both let out a chuckle.

"You think that we want to harm your kind?" Heavy said. "We just want to be left alone."
"We may be curious about humans, but we don't like causing trouble," Medic added. "Although we do appreciate the animals from your village, but we can do without them."
"So what are you going to do with me?" You asked. "My village won't be happy to find out that their sacrifice didn't work."
"Why, we'll keep you here of course," Medic replied. "Heavy and I will take excellent care of you and we will do everything in our power to protect you, Liebling."
"Don't worry, we will give you things to do around here that are suitable for your size." Heavy said. "But for now, it's getting late. We should get to bed."
Heavy handed you over to Medic, and then went over to different part of the cave in order to most likely get ready to go to bed. Medic then got into the bed and placed you on top of his chest.
"So, what is life like in your village?" Medic asked you.
You then started to tell him about what life was like in your village. Medic listened intently, looking interested in everything that you were saying. Finally, Heavy came over wearing pajamas and climbed into bed.
The two giants snuggled up against each other with smiles on their faces. They would occasionally rub your back. It was clear to you that they were very close partners and enjoyed each other's company.
"I knew that humans were tiny, but seeing you up close makes me realize how small you really are," Medic said with a chuckle. "I have to admit, it's quite adorable."
"Little ones like you are very fragile," Heavy added. "And very skittish when it comes to interacting with us giants."
"Wouldn't you be nervous around someone larger than you?" You asked. "Besides, I haven't personally interacted with giants before you rescued me."
"I suppose that's true," he said as he gently rubbed the top of your head.
You shifted to a more comfortable position and started to become sleepy. This would be the beginning of your new life with a giant family. After a little while, you saw that the giants had fallen asleep, so you closed your eyes and drifted off to sleep, preparing yourself for your new life with a giant family.
