Chapter Text
The sound of rumbling keys echoes through the apartment. A sleepy Kazuha pokes her head into the room, finding her members comfortably sprawled on the living room.
“Zuha!”
Yunjin is the first to take notice of her arriving, making her way to her and rumbling her hair. “How was the photoshoot? Weren’t you supposed to finish like two hours ago?” She adds while walking towards the kitchen.
Kazuha hums softly while dragging her steps. “There was a problem with the clothes, and then the director decided he wanted a location change so I was stuck there the whole afternoon.” She throws herself into the couch, burying her face into the pillows and sighing.
Chaewon, who’s sitting beside the girl, chuckles lightly. “At least it was during the day. Eunchae’s still grumpy because of her schedule being too late in the night yesterday.”
“Hey!” The youngest complains with a frown.
Kazuha lifts her head from the couch and looks at the girl who is now throwing a pillow at her leader. A smile appears on her face looking at the pout the younger one was making.
“Eunchae, you’ll become a duck if you keep pouting like that.” Yunjin comes back from the kitchen at that moment with a bowl full of popcorn.
The youngest huffs but moves nonetheless making space for the redhead. Kazuha sits up while feeling Eunchae pressing on her side, the couch isn’t made to fit many people but they manage to do it anyway. Sakura, who enjoys her personal space, always takes the spot on the floor, although there are days where Yunjin claims she doesn’t want the older girl to feel lonely so she’ll find herself hovering over her friend on the floor the entire time.
“Let’s watch a movie!” Yunjin says enthusiastically and even though Kazuha feels her eyes burn a little and her tiredness catching up, she knows there’s no point in arguing with the girl who would probably beg her to stay.
They settle on a romantic movie. Kazuha won’t admit it but she watches the film between long blinks and halfway through it she realizes she doesn’t understand anything about it.
Apparently there’s a turning point in the movie, and Kazuha realizes that because of the gasp that escapes Sakura’s mouth. “Did you catch that?” Chaewon whispers excitedly, and Kazuha finds herself humming in agreement while fighting to keep her eyes open.
She feels Eunchae move beside her, then a faint touch on her wrist. She holds her breath.
Kazuha feels completely awake now, her gaze wanders from the TV to her arm, and even though it’s dark, she can see the way her own muscles have tensed.
She sits still for a moment and tries her best to actually start watching the movie. The man on the screen seems desperate, looking everywhere as if searching for someone. The music stops, Kazuha holds her breath again. The camera turns, a woman appears, and Kazuha feels the hand that had been lingering grab her wrist with force.
It only lasts a couple of seconds, that hold, but it leaves Kazuha’s skin burning a lot longer.
She finds herself noticing her skin get colder and her breath slower.
The movie ends not long after. Everyone says their goodnights and goes to their room. Kazuha lingers a little longer in the living room. Sakura catches sight of her after going to the bathroom and looks at her questioningly.
“Hey, are you alright?”
Kazuha, who still feels in some kind of haze, blinks fastly and stands up. “Yeah, yeah. Everything alright.”
Sakura narrows her eyes at the girl, but decides against trying to understand her behavior. Kazuha gives her a little smile and disappears into her room.
Again with her face buried against pillows, Kazuha surrenders to sleep almost immediately. That night the girl dreams of flying pillows, cute smiles and sparkling eyes.
