Chapter Text
Since I was a child, the stars, the trees, and elements speak to me. They tell me what are to come. They tell me how to be ready. They give me knowledge that no one knows.
My name is Midoriya Izuku. I’ve always been quiet. People call me the green witch, creepy, or silence. Heh, little do they know.Anyway, mom and I are on our way to see the quirk doctor to see if I have a quirk. Mom says that I have been showing signs of a quirk.
“We’re almost there, sweetie.” Mom stated.
The car turned into the parking lot. We parked and got out of the car. We walk hand in hand to the hospital, we then checked in. We took a seat and waited for our names to be called.
“Midoryia!” A nurse yelled into the waiting room.
We stood up and walked to the door the nurse stood at. We walked to the doctors office together. We got in and waited for the doctor. I noticed the window in the room was open. A few moments later the doctor knocked on the door, walking inside.
“Hello! My names Mr. Fumio. We’re here about a quirk, right?” Doctor Fumio asked.
“Yes.” Mom answered.
“Let’s take a few tests to see what we’re working with. What do you say?” Doctor Fumio questioned.
Mom nodded her head as a yes, while I stood. The doctor took 3 tests; one was a telekinetic test, second was a fire test, and lastly was an x-ray of my foot. Doctor Fumio came back with a sour expression. He walked in with the x-rays and test results.
“I’m sorry to say, but your son is quirkless.” Doctor Fumio stated.
“There has to be a mistake, right…?” Mom questioned.
Doctor Fumio only shook his head. He started to look through the folder and showing the results to mom. As he was showing mom the results, a bird flew in and landed on my head. The bird was green and stood on my head. Doctor Fumio and mom were surprised to see the bird inside the building, even more surprised that it was staying on my head.
“Is that a bird..?” Doctor Fumio asked surprised.
“I think so..?” Mom said.
“What?” I asked.
“There’s a bird on your head.” Doctor Fumio said.
“Oh, Harumi.” I said as I put my hand out for the bird to stand on.
Harumi took the invite and stood on my hand. Harumi’s tiled his head. I tilted my head in response. The adults in the room were stunned. They couldn’t speeak.
I looked at Harumi. I whispered to Harumi and after he flew out the window.
I looked back to the adults as Harumi left.
“Is that all, Doctor?” I asked.
Doctor Fumio could only nod. I stood up and started to walk to the door. Mom flustered, stood up and walked to the door as well.
“Thank you for your time, doctor.” Mom bowed and we left.
As we left the building and got into the car, mom asked me something.
“What happened in the doctors office, hunny?” Mom asked.
“Oh, that. It was just a friend who wanted to say hi.” I answered.
“What were you whispering about?” She asked.
“I told Harumi what we were doing in the Doctors office. Harumi was worried.” I answered.
“Oh…” mom hummed.
The car ride continued in silence. Once we got home to our apartment, we walked up the stairs. We got to the door, unlocked it and walked in. After taking our shoes off, mom walked into the kitchen to start dinner. I walked to the living room. Turning on the tv, there was a villain attack happening pretty far.
“Huh…” I muttered.
I ran to my room and grabbed one of my notebooks on quirks. I ran back to the living room to see that the fight had gone south. I looked at the fires that were caused by the fight. They were talking.
‘Danger!’ The fire reads.
Oh, no! This is bad! Why aren’t the other hero’s doing anything? Surely there’s a hero with a water quirk, right? Right…?
After thinking this, the villain attacks a hero instantly throws a ball of fire, the hero is a little to late to dodge. They get burned. There are 3 hero’s fighting and the other 4 are keeping the civilians out of the way. The hero’s are getting tired and the villain is lighting everything ablaze.
I wonder how there isn’t a water based quirk at the scene. I want to help, but how? Then All Might gets to the scene. He takes out the villain in one punch to the air. The villain goes flying into the air. All might catches the villain, then arrests him.
I sigh. That was nerve wracking, mom calls for dinner. I walk over to the counters and start setting the table. Mom brings dinner to the table and we start eating.
After eating and getting ready for bed, I walk to my room and close the door. Then I walk to my window and open it. I have been going to the roof of the building for a year now. I climb up the fire escape and get to the roof. I lay down and look up. The stars are shining, telling stories of when things they see. They tell me how tomorrow is going to be. It’s going to be eventful, they tell my to be careful with the people I interact with.
After a few hours of laying on the roof, the wind started talking. Someone is watching me. I sit up to see a shadowy figure on a close building watching me. I start back. I then decide it’s time to go bed. I walk over to the fire escape and climb back into my room. I lay down on my bed and fall asleep.
