Chapter Text
Airy ran in the pouring rain, which produced frequent "clink" sounds as it hit his metallic hood, arms and legs aching from the various injuries scattered across them, and his scarf blowing wildly in the wind.
The kerosene lantern ducked inside the alleyway praying that he lost the police as the wailing sirens faded away.
He heard nothing but the rain, he sighed in relief and slumped to the floor exhausted. Airy needed a moment to catch his breath.
Airy was mostly fine aside from the cuts and bruises he had gained from the fight Damn that police officer
After all that drama the was no fucking way in hell he was going back to base.
1. The police would most definitely be on higher watch.
2. He wasn't sure he was in the state to walk all the way there.
Airy sighed, he was going to have find the nearest motel.
So after a few minutes of searching online, he found a motel not too far away and so Airy found himself walking in the rain while holding his scarf to avoid it flying away to god knows where, to said motel.
xxxxxxxx
Airy enter the slightly dingy motel room and made a beeline to the bathroom, to take a bath (he was not into catching a cold) and tend to his injuries ( if they had a first aid kit of course)
But he dropped his scarf on the bed before entering. It was them he noticed the uncomfortable silence in the room. It felt...off
(no it wasn't just off it felt oppressive)
As the kerosene lantern sat in the warm bubbly water in the bath, he still felt uncomfortable.
Maybe it was because he was used to the chatter of the people that worked for him, or the music he played on his recordor, or the typing on his keyboard.
(no he just hated how fucking lonely it made him feel)
Anyways he cut that train of thought off as he got out and dried himself off and went to sift through the cupboards for a medkit and to his luck he found one.
Airy glanced at the mirror for a moment, maybe he should bandage the hole so it would reduce questions about the injury? The receptionist did look at him weirdly...
(as he thought about that he realized how dull his eye had become, he wonders at what point did he become so empty and spiteful towards a lot of things)
Airy snapped out of his trance, he needed to tend to his injuries, and shove these fucking feelings to the back of his mind, and sleep.
Few minutes later Airy latex sprawled out on the stiff bed. The uncomfortable silence still there.
Still disturbing him.
(it was unfathomabley annoying because it make him feel more empty.... and fucking lonely)
Airy groaned and dropping his face on the pillow he just wanted to sleep after the day he had.
(Not have these invasive thoughts bother him, no matter how important)
The kerosene lantern did manage to sleep that night at some point.
