Work Text:
Jevin hates exile.
He feels so lonely.
He would kill for a hug right now, or at least a conversation with one of his friends.
The smile sits in a corner of the wellness room.
Scar's voice rings slow and soft through the air, a recording.
Every word the recording speaks, he has already heard.
He wishes he could talk to someone.
Anyone at this point.
"You have got to be kidding me dude."
Jevin springs up, running outside because someone's here that's not from the Poe Poe!
The slime sees Ren stands outside alone.
"Ren!" Jevin says, running over to the dog hybrid.
"I can't believe they got me, dude." Ren says.
"Yeah, it sucks here." Jevin agrees, "But hey, let me show you around!"
Jevin shows Ren New Hermitton, "You can have this tent." He says, smiling.
"Thanks, but I was thinking about building a ship over there on the water to live on." Ren says before walking away.
Cleo arrives in exile next.
They say hello to Jevin before going over to Ren to talk with him.
Tango ends up visiting, but leaves eventually.
Everyone is ignoring him and he does not know why.
The smile lays in the back of his tent.
It's the middle of the night and everyone is asleep but him.
He thinks he knows why they are ignoring him.
He's just a mob.
Worthless, one in thousands.
He's not a hybrid like Ren.
He's never been human like Cleo was.
Jevin grips Sal tighter, feeling like the dead fish head is the only thing that understands him.
