The players were given a 2-week break to spend and recover from the hectic matches.
1 week's break was mostly commercial, spent with the foreign players.
Most of the players now got along with the blue lockers, so they were happy to spend it here in blue lock.
Isagi was walking through the corridors until he saw him
Michael Kaiser
Why isn't he taking a break?
Kaiser was still practising his shots like a machine.
His Kaiser Impact is one of the most beautiful shots Isagi has ever seen.
"Still not enough"
Kaiser muttered under his breath.
Isagi entered the field.
Kaiser saw him but didn't acknowledge his presence there.
He continued with his practice.
And Isagi?
Isagi hated how Kaiser was ignoring him.
Sure, Kaiser has been annoying him and some peace now is the best gift he could ever receive.
But He didn't like how Kaiser has been giving the cold shoulder.
The only way to get his attention on Isagi was to steal the ball.
Isagi stretched a little and rushed towards Kaiser to get the ball.
Kaiser wasn't going easy on him. Isagi struggled to get the ball from him.
After a solid 30 minutes, the ball was under Isagi's control.
Kaiser finally talked.
"so, here to look down on me?"
"What- No!"
Isagi stopped and looked at Kaiser.
"Then why are you here?"
"I-"
Isagi didn't know why he was here.
"You what?"
"I wanted to talk with you"
Isagi finally said it.
"oh"
"Yeah, so-"
"Hold on, who said I am willing to talk with you?"
With that, Kaiser turned on his heels and walked out of the field.
Isagi was left dumbfounded in the middle of the field.
Isagi couldn't help but think about the German.
He was in the cafeteria to get the drinks.
Then he saw Kaiser.
Sitting alone at the table with a book and food.
This time, his hair was tied in a bun, and he wore glasses.
He looked Pretty Different.
Isagi bought milk with him. Surely no one hated Milk, right?
He approached Kaiser.
He was glad that his friends were not there, or else they would have teased him to death.
He offered him Milk.
Kaiser deadpanned.
"I don't like Milk"
Isagi was so wrong.
Kaiser kept on reading his book.
Isagi decided to take a peek.
and this man was reading a physics book while eating his food.
No like- How can a person read a Physics book while eating. Isagi just stared at him.
"Isagi, you are staring"
"Is that bothering you?"
"No Shit Sherlock, a guy staring at you is totally normal"
This statement made Isagi a red tomato.
"Oh- sorry"
Kaiser went back to reading.
Isagi's mind desired to talk with Kaiser.
Isagi was just there to fulfil his mind's wish, yet He also wanted to talk with Kaiser.
He doesn't know why. He just wants to talk with him.
So he decided to start the conversation.
"Well, you know-"
"Isagi, do you know how a conversation works?"
Kaiser sighed without even looking up from the book.
"Yes, when two people are willing to talk"
"So do I look like I am willing to talk?"
They both knew the answer. Isagi just remained silent.
"That's what I thought"
He gathered his stuff and left the cafeteria.
The food on his plate was left untouched.
Isagi and his friends were in the study room.
Learning the languages they need for their respective clubs.
There, he again saw Kaiser. Sitting alone at a table with piles of books.
Wearing his glasses, concentrated on the book he was reading.
His eyes furrowed when he couldn't get the concept then relaxed when he finally got it.
Adorable.
Isagi rested his head on his hand while looking at him.
He couldn't see what he was reading.
He didn't think Kaiser would be a reader or even a studious person.
Guess you always learn something new.
"EARTH TO ISAGI!"
Hiori shouted into his ears.
Isagi was flabbergasted.
"dude, we have been calling out for you. What are you even thinking?"
"Um, nothing" Isagi looked away from Kaiser to face his friends.
Hiori didn't buy that. He looked in the direction where he was looking.
"Oh, so that's why, huh?"
"What?" Play dumb
"Yeah, right. play dumb, it's Kaiser, right?"
The group collectively let out an ooohh.
"Hahaha, he is still on it!?" Raichi laughed.
"It's not what you think! geez, come on"
Isagi frowned but his cheeks had a faint shade of red.
"HE is blushing, blushing!"
"NOT YOU TOO, KURONA!"
"What's Ness doing here?"
Isagi immediately turned his head towards Kaiser's direction.
Ness hesitantly approached Kaiser. Ever since the PXG match their dynamic is almost gone.
They aren't together like before. They are just distant.
Ness said something, and Kaiser just nodded.
Then Ness left the study room.
Kaiser sighed and collected his books.
He then left.
Kaiser has been awfully quiet.
Isagi got up. "I need to go"
"Go, loverboy, go~"
Isagi didn't react. He went out of the room.
Kaiser was talking with Noa.
"So you would be taking the offer from Re Al?"
"Yes"
"Good to know"
Noa then walked in Isagi's direction.
They nodded at each other.
Then, Kaiser came.
"What do you want?"
"what"
"You have been staring and following me. Tell me, what do you want?"
"Talk to me"
"Why?"
"You have been so quiet, like not annoying me and all"
"Why is that your issue, Isagi?"
"I don't know. At least talk to me. I miss your stupid tricks to annoy me. I miss your damn smugness that you always have."
"I miss you"
Kaiser blinked. Isagi then realised what he had just said.
"NO NO NO THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT-"
Kaiser laughed, not his mocking one but a genuine laugh.
Kaiser was laughing. It was melodious.
Isagi couldn't come up with words.
"Oh my god. Seriously, Isagi?"
"Stop calling me Isagi"
"What- why?" Kaiser was puzzled.
"Yoichi is fine" he said with his cheeks with a bright red tone.
Kaiser noticed that. "Here I thought Japanese hated getting called by their birth name by their enemy?"
"Oh, shut up. Who said you were my enemy?"
"You are not making any sense, Yoichi."
"Yeah, that's better, call me Yoichi"
Kaiser couldn't understand him. His ear tips match Isagi's cheeks.
"what a Moron"
"You are accepting the Re Al's offer?"
"Yes, I need to grow more"
"sucks, Bastard won't be the same without you"
"Already missing me?"
"What if I say yes?"
"Then you are the biggest clown I have ever met"
"Hey, that's my line!"
They walked to the field, deciding to have a friendly match.
No Malice, no competition.
It's just them being lost in their little world.
They were lazing around with the ball.
Throwing each other insults and laughing.
Then Kaiser said
"I will be leaving soon, like in two days"
"What! Why?"
Isagi's heart dropped. They just started to talk.
"I need to prepare for Re Al and the World Cup"
"Oh, that, right"
Kaiser kicked the ball towards him, hitting him in the shin.
"OW! What was that for?!" Isagi hissed.
"Stop making that face, for god's sake."
"Fine, fine, I won't"
Isagi smiled, and they continued playing until they were exhausted.
It was the day Kaiser was leaving.
Isagi made an excuse for his friends so he could see Kaiser off.
They were both at the Airport. Kaiser was going alone.
It was about time. Soon, Kaiser will be gone.
"So that's it. Don't get too drunk off your victory, Yoichi"
"Yeah, sure. Don't get too rusty, clown" He rolled his eyes.
Isagi held Kaiser's hands, trying to blink away his tears.
Kaiser looked here and there.
Then-
He carassed his cheeks. "Such a crybaby"
Kaiser kissed Isagi.
It wasn't deep, nor was it forced. It was just a little peck to soothe someone.
Isagi buried his face in Kaiser's chest.
"Idiot"
"I love you, Bakaiser"
"Don't forget me"
Kaiser pulled Isagi away. Looked him in his eyes.
"Are you stupid? How can I forget you?"
"What if you-"
Kaiser kissed him again.
"Maybe this will answer your doubt"
Isagi's face burned.
"It did"
"Passengers are requested to board the plane, I repeat Passengers are requested to board the plane"
"I think you should go now"
"yeah"
Before Kaiser went into the boarding area, He leaned in and whispered
"I love you too, schatz"
Gave him a note and waved him goodbye.
Isagi was stupefied.
He looked at the note. He smiled fondly.
Goodbye Kaiser, We will meet again.
Isagi immediately went to his home.
Saved the note carefully in his notebook.
"You are going so soon?" His mother called out.
"Oh I just need to inform Anri-san about coming here and to get my stuff. I will be back"
"Oh, sure"
Isagi then made his way to Blue Lock.
He talked to Anri, got the permission and went to his room to get his stuff.
"He is here guys!" Raichi shouted.
"Hey Isagi, Kaiser went to Germany today" Hiori informed.
"Yeah, I know"
They all were left astonsihed.
"Also, I am going too now. will meet you guys soon"
With that, he got his stuff and walked out of the room, not waiting for anyone to say anything.
" He didn't even wait"
"Probably rushing to meet Kaiser"
"for sureee"
Little did they know that Isagi had already sent off Kaiser. He just wanted to read the note Kaiser had given him.
It was personal. He didn't want his friends to tease him about it.
He was in his room now. He closed the door and lay down on his bed.
He pulled out the note and read it:
Mein Yoichi,
I am writing this since you will be too embarrassed to even hear me out without your face turning into a tomato
which is cute, but I don't wanna deal with a blushing mess.
Isagi paused. Glared at the words because they offended him so much.
He is gonna get his revenge soon. He huffed and continued reading.
I am honestly bad at emotions, I won't be able to navigate your feelings properly.
Not to mention, we are now world-level footballers.
I don't even know if you actually like me or not
One thing's for sure: I like you.
But I am glad that you played football with me.
It was so fucking fun.
I will be looking forward to playing with you again.

This was such an absurd letter. A confession letter, to be exact.
He took out his phone. Saved the number. and then messaged him.

He ate dinner and talked about his plans and how he is gonna miss a certain German.
He checked the phone for a message, but he saw none.
He went to sleep.

Isagi woke up, He had slept like a baby.
He reached out for his phone.

He almost fell off his bed.

Isagi was glued to his phone.

He saw Noa talking to Ego.
He approached them to greet.

"Isagi looked behind Noa and around him.
Noa raised an eyebrow and asked.
"Looking for Kaiser?"

"He might not be able to make it. "
Isagi's energy faded in the thick air.

As Isagi walked away.
Ego asked Noa
"Why did you lie to him?"

Ego didn't say anything and just sipped the drink.
Yoichi was angry, How could Michael miss the opportunity of them meeting?!
Bachira followed after him as Isagi speed walked to the nearest washroom.
"Hey! Isagi! Wait for me!"
Isagi stopped and looked at Bachira.
"Look, I will be back soon. Just go with others."
Bachira looked worried, but he knew that it was best not to argue with him.
Isagi went inside the washroom. Splashed water on his face.
He took out his phone to check if he had replied or not.
There was none.

He went out and as he stepped out.
He saw Kaiser. Talking with Noa.

"Noa said you won't be coming"
He looked up while having his face buried in Kaiser's chest.
Kaiser glared at Noa as Noa faked a cough.
Ego grinned, knowing what stunt Noa wanted to pull.
"The old man just wanted to mess with you"
"But I am here now, right?"
He rubbed Isagi's back in circles to soothe him.
"Yeah"
Isagi smiled to which Kaiser smiled back with the same honesty.
"Soo, that's why you were upset hmmm?"
Isagi forgot that his friends were there. He pulled himself back from Kaiser's arms.
But Kaiser didn't let that happen, He grabbed him by the waist.
"Mich- Kaiser not here!" Isagi scolded
"Nuh uh" Kaiser smirked.
"Don't mind us. Enjoy your time, Isagi," said Hiori while giggling along with the blue lockers.
"You heard them"
"Let's go, Yoichi"
Isagi was conflicted, but he decided to spend the time with him.
"Don't make me bored, Micha"
"You wound me, Yoichi"
They laughed together.
Holding hands together.
Just them.
Extra:
"Yoichi, you bombarded me with those texts"
"OH MY GOD, JUST FORGET THOSE!" Isagi was flustered.
"You love me a lot, don't you?" Kaiser planted a kiss on his forehead.
"More than you think" He cupped Kaiser's face.
"Well, too bad I love you more" Kaiser laughed.

and yet again they bicker like they used too.
