How do I reject a guy, if I’m also a guy?
So there’s this guy in my grade -and NO I do not like him- but I think he might like me. Tbh I didn’t really have much of a first impression of him. He’s got a soft face with really smooth skin, and he’s got gorgeous eyes. I’m only saying this to give a visual, like, in an objective manner. Anyway, I met him when I was walking up stairs to get to my class, and some simpleton pushed him into me. Obviously, I caught the guy because he was flying full speed at me. (He had a really small waist, but I’m pretty sure it’s cause he doesn’t eat a lot. He looks really malnourished). Either way, when I lifted him back onto his feet, he stared at me and it kind of looked like he had stars in his eyes??? Whatever, but it wasn’t really memorable (I only remembered it because I have good memory, otherwise I wouldn’t have because he’s the kind of guy you would be indifferent to, even despite his looks. Not that he’s cute or anything, just average. But also like the type of average that the more you look at, the better looking they get, y’know?) But as I walked around the school, I started noticing him more often. It seems my eyes always managed to find him at least once a day. Not on purpose or because I wanted to, or something weird like that. But it’s because every time I looked at him, he would also look at me, so we made eye contact a lot. Every time we make eye contact, he gets all shy and will look away. And not to be egotistical or anything, but I’m aware I’m good-looking. I’ve gotten countless of confessions from girls. But never guys. The girls who confessed to me got shy whenever we made eye contact as well, so he probably likes me. I think he might be following me around though, because I would usually never see him around, but like I said, I see him all the time now. I might actually be seeing him when he’s not even there, I’m so paranoid. Okay, enough backstory. I just wanted to ask, how do I reject him? Whenever I would reject girls in the past, I would be cold about it so they wouldn’t think I feel anyway else, but I don’t really want to do that to this guy. Not that there’s a possibility that I could like him back, cause I’m not gay. And I don’t like, hate gay people. I’m just indifferent. if he’s gay that’s cool, but I guess if he likes me then he probably is gay. But what if I’m his first gay crush? Or what if he thinks I’m homophobic? I don’t care what others think, but I think I would be upset if a guy thought I was homophobic, especially if it was a gay guy. Cause I don’t want them to be offended, y’know. And the dude who likes me isn’t half bad either. He really is pretty, and I would probably like him if he was a girl. And he’s smart, too. He’s practically always reading a book. I don’t want to ruin his self confidence by rejecting him. I see him hanging around with some other girl, and she’s always laughing so he’s probably funny, as well. (Side note: the girl kind of pisses me off. Shes always hanging off of her shoulder, and she smirks at me anytime we make eye contact, so she probably knows the guy is gay. I mean, what kind of jerk hits on someone who isn’t even interested in their sex? He obviously likes ME and not her, so idk why she won’t stop touching him. Cause it’s like y’know, probably making him uncomfortable or something). Despite the fact that he was being bullied when I first met him, he seems to have a lot of friends. Surprisingly, we even have some mutual friends. There’s this big teddy bear of a guy, and he’s decently attractive. The guy who has a crush on me stares and him sometimes- like, the same way he did when we first met- and that pisses me off. If you’re going to have a crush, pick one person. It’s also kind of offensive because, not to be rude to my friend, but I’m obviously a better partner??? I said early that the guy is skinny, and I’m a pretty good cook. Plus, he always is staring at Mr. Teddy bears muscles, and I’ve got muscles myself. Not that I’m like jealous or trying to advertise myself to him, because I’m not. I just think that he’s going to have a crush on me, it should be on JUST me. He’s confusing, so I don’t know when he’s going to confess to me. When he does, I want to be kind to him so he doesn’t get his feelings hurt. Idk if it’s weird to say, but he’s got a nice smile, and I wouldn’t want to be the reason it’s gone. Sorry for getting off topic, but does anyone have any advice?
