Summary:

“WHAT THE FUCK ARIAS?!?” Osora screamed at the top of his lungs, gingerly holding his wrist. Somehow in the split millisecond Arias had been holding the wrist he ended up causing a bruise in the shape of his whole hand.

Work Text:

“We need to talk.” Arias announced, arms crossed, as he stood in the only exit to the greenhouse where Osora had been when Arias had entered. He hadn't meant to bump into Osora but apparently post breakup they both had a thing for visiting the plants.

“No, Arias.” Osora said, matter of factly. He pulled that damn hood over his head.

1/10

“No, what? What was I going to be talking about?” Arias asked. Calm down, you've barely talked to him.

“You know what.” Osora accused.

“No, I don't. No one can know with your vague ass.”

“We're not having this conversation here.” Osora gritted out, turning away from Arias.

“What conversation?” Arias pushed.

“ARIAS SHUT UP!!!!! STOP THE FUCKING PUSHING!” Osora snapped.

“Then talk to me and I will.” Arias couldn't give a flying fuck about the possible guards outside.

2/10

“Jesus fucking christ Arias, for the last time, I have to marry Catalina.” Osora muttered and Arias walked over to the bench the prince was on, sitting on it, but not next to him.

3/10

“I'm the prince, it doesn't matter.” Osora kept on going.

4/10

“I used you. I never said I liked you back. I feel nothing for you. You’re just a friend, and thats all you will ever be.”

5/10

Arias could see the tears starting to well up in the blonde's eyes, before they were forcefully whisked away. The sight made him even more upset. Calm down, you need to stay in check.

6/10

“If anyone ever found out what you think about me, you would be killed. People think it's disgusting.” Osora pointed out.

7/10

“I mean that’s before they knew that I shouldn't be prince.” Osora spat out, his cloak fully facing Arias and the soldier could tell that he was currently curled in a ball.

8/10

“You shouldn't waste your time trying for me, you should just find someone else.”

9/10

“I've been perfectly fine without you.” Well that's a fresh lie out of hell as Osora's voice cracked during it.

10/10

Everything Arias had had bottled up for years, coupled with this, hit him like a freight train that didn't exist back then, as soon as the prince stood up and Arias grabbed his wrist.

Now, here's the thing, this was Osora's good wrist, and the bad one had just gotten out of the cast earlier that week.

Suddenly there was a shrek from the blonde that Arias had never heard, and Arias dropped his wrist.

Arias's eyes went wide as he saw the wrist in question.

“WHAT THE FUCK ARIAS?!?” Osora screamed at the top of his lungs, gingerly holding his wrist. Somehow in the split millisecond Arias had been holding the wrist he ended up causing a bruise in the shape of his whole hand.

FUCK. FUCK. FUCK!

“WHAT DID YOU JUST DO?!” Osora exclaimed.

“Osora, please listen to me, find me after dinner in the library and Ill explain. I promise.”

There's no way I'm getting out of this. I have to tell him. But, he's the prince. There's a reason I have to keep my emotions in check. I hurt him. Arias noticed, in his pacing around the library waiting for Osora, that he was started to shake. He took a deep breath and made himself recite the alphabet backwards.

When he got done with that, as if on cue, Osora emerged, wrist wrapped. Arias gut flared in alarm. Osora flung the seat across from Arias that Arias had taken residency in and Osora crossed his feet over the table.

“Explain why I have a bruise on my wrist.” Osora demanded simply.

“One condition, you don't tell a soul.” Arias said.

“Fine.” Osora rolled his eyes but Arias knew his boyfr- best friend. Ouch.

Arias pulled out the copy of the history of Sergos he had in his lap, opening the page about Validien Sergos and pointing to the part about their traits. Osora looked up a minute later, very much confused.

“What the-” The blonde murmured.

Arias flipped to the page about half breeds and let it sink in for Osora.

“You're joking.” Osora whispered, in shock, after he put down the book.

“Wish I was. Remember that giant boulder that was blocking one of the trails we ran on when we were 13 and how it finally went down that cliff one day?”

“That was… you?” Arias nodded. “Then that explains why you were able to…” Osora whispered as he ran his hands over the burns scars on his arms.

“Im sorry for telling you this this way, I'm usually able to not get overly emotional and that way I blend in but, I snap sometimes. I didnt mean to make you hurt Osora. I swear to god. If you want me to, Ill do anything you want me to to be able to make it up to.”

Osora was quiet and for a moment Arias thought he pushed Osora away forever, but then Osora whispered,

“Kiss me.”

“Don't have to tell me twice.” Arias muttered, before he moved from his chair at the speed of light, crotched on his knees very similar to their event in the guard baths (good god that day, Arias still took that stall if it was open) Arias pressed his lips to his princes after far too long.

Minutes later of straight, filthy making out, they pulled away, breaths rapid from lack of oxygen.

“I love you. I have for a long time, I've just been trying to keep you safe.” The blonde whispered, and Arias almost made the table fall apart from the happiness rushing through him.

“I love you too.” Arias whispered.

“Come with me, I want to show you something.” Osora said, pulling Arias up.

“One second.” Arias quickly put back the book before following Osora with somewhat wobbly legs after what just happened.

Arias was lead to a room filled with a bunch of things that seemed to be on their last legs that had no purpose on why they were in the royals castle.

“This is basically all just garbage. Only a few people know about it, if you really need to, you can take your anger out on his old shit instead of boulders in the forest and my wrist.” Osora said, in the middle of the small room.

Arias's heart fluttered and he smiled dopily at what he was seeing.

“Youre amazing, Osora Calaveras.” Osora scoffed.

“Guard change is in a few minutes… want to spend the night?”

“Thought you'd never ask.” Arias said, smiling and Osora grew a dusting of pink on his cheeks.

***

That night many declarations of love happened, along with Osora explaining his lies and the makeup sex they needed to have. They ended up going to bed many hours in the night, wrapped in each others arms, no bruises on their necks (this time) but maybe sometime soon when they got through with their plan to leave

Notes:

Might make a series... See you guys in a little bit.

I just couldn't resist the line about the guard baths 🫣
