Chapter Text
Toys are scattered along the floor, having been long-forgotten as he lays on the floor, his crayons and drawings spread around him as he scribbled with wild abandonment. He had been engrossed in his world of color, inattentive to his surroundings until a voice, too high to be his mother, chirped “What are you drawing?” He absentmindedly responded “A card for Saki!” before pausing and looking over his shoulder to the empty space. “Who are you? Where are you?” he had asked, as he stood up and grabbed his toy sword, lying not too far away. He stood, creeping down the stairs as he made his way around, thoroughly inspecting each room. This time, a deeper voice rang out from the hallway “Don’t fret, starlight, you'll find out in due time.” there stood a figure, disappearing with a flash of blue. His head whipped around to look down the hallway, padding carefully as he peers into the vacant rooms. Just then, the soothing voice of his father called out to him, announcing her arrival. He looks back into his room, at the toys and crayons strewn around, then turns to the hallway, brushing off the moment in favor of running down the stairs to greet his father.
“That was a critical fail, Miku, what's our next plan?”
