Work Text:

"Another D, Till....I need your test signed by your guardian by the end of the week."

The big, bold D took up half the space on his paper. Till sighed. Why was his teacher pissy so early in the morning, at least he didn't fail?

He looked beside him to see Mizi grinning from ear to ear, and upon closer inspection, he could see a bold B+ written on her test paper.

"Ahhh!!! I thought I totally flunked this test. I'm so happy!!"
Mizi sighed in relief while holding her paper closer.

"I knew you wouldn't fail, Mizi."
Sua replied with a soft smile. Two desks away from Till
But he could oh so clearly see the giant A on her paper.

Of course....that's the class president for you..

Till sighed once again and shoved his paper in his backpack, which caught both the girls' attention.

"Oh yea!! Till how much did you get?"
Mizi asked with anticipation.

".....B."

Mizi smile widened while Sua raised an eyebrow, not buying his lie.

"That's really good!! Im glad we all passed!!"

Till’s stomach churned, but right on cue, the bell rang, signalling the students that it was time for the next class.

"You guys can go. I'm...going to the bathroom..."

The silver haired man quickly got up with his backpack, not waiting for a response, and left the class.

He ran to the men's toilet and slammed the door open to see that it was -

Empty, per usual...unlike the ladies' toilet, which required a line that got to the end of the hall.

How was that even possible?

He ran to the nearest stall while gagging, and finally, he started vomiting his guts out.

It felt horrible, his stomach felt like it was on fire while his throat felt like a desert ....that was on fire.

His left hand was desperately trying to keep himself balanced by putting his hand on the wall beside him

He hoped it wasn't as dirty as it looked.

While his other hand was holding onto his shirt, gripping it like there was no tomorrow.

He felt tears forming in his eyes and slowly but surely it started going down drip drip.

Oh, but once he realized that the pain wasn't going away, he started sobbing.

He felt pathetic crying because of this.

He heard the door open and knew that someone was gonna hear him but couldn't bring himself to care.

He coughed violently, making the person stop in his track.

"....Till??? Is that you, man??"

What the fuck

How did that person know it was him by his coug-

He then realized he never closed the bathroom door so by looking behind him he saw...Marty.

He was one of the jocks in the Anakt sports team- which was a pretty stupid fucking name.

Who the hell names their team Anakt???

"Uh you alright..."

The brunette asked awkwardly as if Till wasn't uncontrollably crying and sniffiling infront of him.

Don't blame him because at this point he felt like he was throwing up his stomach acids.

"D-do I call someone?? Um.....wait here I'll go get Ivan. "

Before Till could say something, Marty went out of the toilet.

He quickly got up after feeling a little better and flushed the brown looking goo down the toilet.

Getting out of the stall while limping like he got hit by a car several times, the silver head quickly washed his face with cold water.

He wiped his tears and snot away.

He then heard the door slam open, and a raven jock walked in, and once he made eye contact, he quickly walked up to Till and cupped his face with his hand.

There was a moment of silence with only the jock seemingly scanning Till's face with his jaw clenched tight.

Before his eyes found its way to Till’s teal ones that were puffy, red, and tired.

His face finally relaxed, and his eyes softened

"What's wrong, Till? why did you come to school if you felt tired...?"

Till opened his mouth to reply, but Ivan quickly cut him off by taking his varsity jacket off and making Till wear it.

"I'll drive you home, alright? Dont worry about it. I saw the supervisor on the way and told her that you were feeling sick and had to go home."

He then kissed Till on the nose and went to his mouth, but Till quickly pushed him off.

"Don't...I just threw up Ivan. That's disgusting."

His tone was cold, but the first thing that the raven noticed were his red ears.

Giggling - like the grown man he is. Ivan held Till’s arm and walked out of the bathroom.

People were staring but quickly looked away once they did.

Because what Till didn't know was that Ivan glared at anyone who dared to look at them.

Once they reached the students' parking lot, Ivan quickly opened the door for Till and buckled his seat belt in.

Getting in his own seat, he adjusted the rear view mirror and started the car.

Till then sank into the cars seat and made himself comfortable.

"I'll swing by a pharmacy to get painkillers and some electrolytes, alright? Get some sleep because this might take a little while."

God, Till didn't deserve Ivan... but instead of bursting into tears and hugging while kissing Ivan all over his stupid face, Till simply nodded - too tired to keep his eyes open.

When Till was drifting to sleep, he heard the raven muttering something about meclizine and pedialyte.

Or whatever those were

The moment he opened his eyes, he could only comprehend two things

First was that he felt a damp cloth on his forehead.

The second was that the air smelled like warm chicken broth.

Oh, he was also in his room.

Just as he was about to get up, the door suddenly opened to reveal Ivan holding a tray with a bowl, some pills, and a cup of water.

"Good morning, sunshine. Had a nice nap?"
Ivan set the tray beside Till and helped the silver head man sit up and take the cloth of his forehead, placing it on the little table that was next to Till's bed.

"....what time is it?"

The silver haired man cringed from how groggy his voice was.

"It's 4pm"

Till almost chocked on his saliva

"I slept for 8 hours!?"

Ivan only chuckled while blowing on the hot soup.

"Shocker, I know. here, say Ahhh."

The raven lifted a spoonful of soup, trying to guide it toward Till’s mouth. But the only response he got was the silver haired boy’s deadpan expression.

"I can feed myself, Ivan..."

He was about to grab the spoon from Ivans' hand, but the raven quickly pulled the spoon away, not allowing Till to take it.

"Till, open your mouth."
Ivan said, completely serious this time with a cold tone.

Till scoffed at that.

"Ha. What? Do you think you can scare me or something?"

Ivan set the spoon down, his expression turning unusually serious as he leaned in a little closer.

"Are you gonna tell me?" he asked, voice low and intense.

"Tell you what?" Till shot back, clearly confused.

"What made you this sick."

The room fell silent for a moment, and Till’s eyes flicked away, focusing on his hands as they fidgeted with the blanket.

"...Not sure what you're talking about," he muttered, trying to avoid Ivan's gaze.

Ivan's stare sharpened. "You’re really not gonna tell me? Because I saw what you threw away from last night."

Till froze, “What?”

“Yeah, don’t act dumb. I found it in the trash when I was making your soup,” Ivan said, his voice laced with that familiar teasing edge. "The half-eaten sandwich."

Till’s face immediately flushed, his embarrassment very much visible.

“I-....I didn’t know it was that bad! Yea, whatever you told me to throw it out weeks ago, but my mom was gone, and I didn’t feel like cooking anything, so... I just ate it.”

He winced as the words left his mouth, realizing how ridiculous it sounded.

Ivan raised an eyebrow, clearly trying to suppress a laugh. “You really ate half of that thing? That's impressive. Till.”

“Shut up!! I was hungry, alright?” Till muttered, his voice small. “It was wet and mouldy, but it didn’t look that bad...”

Ivan couldn’t hold back anymore, a burst of laughter escaping him. “You ate a sandwich that was practically a science experiment and didn’t think it’d make you sick?”

Till sank into the pillows, hiding his face in his hands.
He felt so dumb.

Ivan shook his head, a grin tugging at his lips. reaching over to ruffle Till’s hair. “You’re lucky you’re cute."

Till groaned, laying down, he pulled the blankets up over his head. "This is the worst."

Ivan only laughed harder.

After a while of Ivan hugging Till, only the blanket separating them, Till muttered a quiet,
“I’m sorry…”

Ivan responded by holding him tighter. “It’s okay…”

But Till muttered it again, his voice even softer. “I’m sorry…”

This time, he hesitated before continuing.
“I’m sorry… it’s my fault you missed school today.”

Ivan chuckled before pressing a kiss to the crown of Till’s head.

“I don’t care about that… I’m just glad nothing serious happened to you.”

Till sniffled for what felt like the tenth time that day.

God, he was so lucky to have a boyfriend like Ivan.
