You were in tears, trembling and broken.
I made a choice that day
I picked you up and held you close.
I took you from your dark place,
So I could put you back together.
I helped you get stronger
With the passing of each day.
You had ups and you had downs.
I was always there to pull you close,
And I would begin to sing:

A story of two hearts,
A tale of hardship and recovery,
A true lullaby for the broken,
A tale of a broken man who was picked up
A tale of a stranger who put them together.
It was a lullaby to remind you,
of the bright times ahead.
A lullaby to help you find your strength,
And find it you did.
You found your strength in the arms of a stranger turned friend.
In the arms of they, who put you back together.
