Chapter Text

She screamed using all the air she had in her lungs. She vigorously lunged at the man in front of her with impulsive rage; digging a scalpel into his back in between his shoulder blades. He let out a blood curling wail, in a futile attempt he tried to shove her away. She bawled, her breath shallow, and she hiccuped as tears went down her face. She repeatedly stabbed him. He kicked her, making her tumble backwards. The scalpel still plunged into his back, he yanked it out then tossed it aside. He yelled “YOU UNGRATEFUL CUNT!“ She still felt disoriented from the shove. yet he grabbed the nearest heavy object, that being a microscope, and hit her upside the head with it. Her ears began to ring, she fell back onto the ground. With blurry vision She looks up at the man she calls her father. His lips were moving though she could barely hear a thing from his mouth, yet she heard him say her name, Cece’s name. He turned his back to her thinking she was knocked out unconscious. She stands, barely balancing, walking towards her father. She grabs the hotplate on the counter and hits the back of his head. He curses falling forward, dropping the bag he held. Blood went down his head as he glanced back at his daughter, barely making out her face. She leans in and whispers into his ear. “I Loved you, dad ”she left him shocked. Those were the first words she ever spoke to him, that made him unaware of how she then lifted the hot plate up then slamming it down onto his head. She panted as she stared at her unresponsive father with indifference, she dropped the hotplate and it hit the ground with a loud thud.

By dawn she was dragging his corpse to the backyard, leaving him on the grass. She went back inside to her father’s lab, all the way in the back to a room decorated with white orchids and portraits of a woman. She opened the coffin seeing her taxidermied mother, the one she was forced to maintain every day. She dragged the stiff body out back. Once she had a shovel she dug a hole big enough for two bodies. It took her the whole morning to dig it. Once they were in place she shoveled the dirt back on top. She placed two of the white orchids on top, paying her respects, she went back inside.

Now in the laboratory she grabbed what she thought was valuable yet not too heavy. She found all sorts of useful things, thanks to her father being a scientist. Some things she took were a bag with 3 pills, a fire starter, several medical supplies, a scalpel, water, food, and a bit of clothes. As she finished packing the landline rang. Getting up she walked over to it cautiously and answered with a shaky voice. “Good afternoon, who is this?” On the other end she heard her best friend, her angel, Cece. “Kat, Thank god you picked up. I was so worried. Have you heard the news? Where are you? Can you come over?” As Cece rambled on, Kat just listened, the tension she was filled with instantly eased with the sound of Cece’s voice. She responded “I'm at my residence, you dialed my landline.” There was an awkward pause before cecilia spoke again. “Oh right, you know you could just say home and you called my phone.” Kat chuckled then resumed, “I'll be there a quarter till 13.” Kat ends the call while Cece on the other hand is left confused to figure out when Kat will arrive.

Kat, having unfinished business, cleans herself in the bathroom and changes into fresh clothes. She tossed the backpack she prepared over her shoulder. she heads out, Going into the familiar forest. Her childhood home burned in the background as a testimony to the hatred she felt for it. She headed to Cece’s house gleefully.
