Return to the roots

Summary:

Batman was a constant. Batman was someone who acted alone, despite the fact that he had recently acquired several assistants. But this case is quite dangerous and he must seek help from those parts of his family and connections that are usually ignored by him.

Chapter Text

It all started with the sudden disappearance of new characters among the society. At first, these events remained hidden from most eyes, but soon the recurring events attracted the attention of several members of various organizations around the world, in general, and one particular founder of the Justice League, in particular. At the same time, when Batman began to notice the disappearances, he was already conducting one case about the opening of an "Arena" in which various ability users performed and new faces recently began to arrive. It was a strange coincidence and Batman was aiming to solve both of these cases.

Bruce Wayne leaned back in his chair, thoughtfully examining the materials that he was able to collect in almost a month of continuous work. The disappearances began in Mexico, where two heroes with powers disappeared. Then the attacks spread to the Mediterranean, Eurasia and were detected and disappeared in India and Africa. His children did not appear at the estate, Alfred, his father, moved in with Damien and Dick to help them, Lucius was closely involved in projects, Barbara reduced her visits after Tim, Cassandra and Stephanie moved in. Duke lives quietly in his apartment with Jarro.
Wayne pulled away from his thoughts and turned his cold gaze to the map of Gotham. His Rouges were either in Blackgate or Arkham, or had retired and had not been active for some time. That satisfied something inside Bruce, who went back to thinking about his final solution. Of course, he already knew what the outcome would be after what he had in mind. The greatest detective in history got up from his seat at the batcomputer and went to the locker room. He needed to be prepared for the next meeting.

Now, almost two hours after he left the Cave, the Dark Knight of Gotham settled into a chair in a rather shaded room, continuing to stare at the man in front of him. It was quite easy to shake off the Oracle's invisible gaze and attend this meeting. Usually, nn was happy not to admit his ties to the Court of Owls, but it was difficult to get rid of this, given the identity of the elder brother of the Bat, and right now he needed the resources that these people could provide him with. The Owl Lord's mask stared blankly at the vigilante, while the man behind it, Batman suspected, was grinning.

– And here you are, little brother. As I understand it, you need help? Thomas Wayne Jr. rested his chin on his crossed arms,
