Earth, 2314 A.D months after the final battle with ELS.
The world become more peaceful, as the symbol of ELS Co-exist with human being when they turned into flowers. there’s no war and conflict for a mean time, celestial being were in temporal discharge.
And most of the member were making their own path. Taking their holiday and even travelling the world.
Except one of them
Feldt still at her usual routine, checking the computer, working on some gundam maintenance recaps, organising some fight data archives, and sometimes cleaning the lobby.
Sumeragi as the one who’s in charge at the Ptolemy kinda worry on her behavior, is it because her encounter with setsuna months ago?
“Feldt, you can take your holiday you know, as there’s no mission from the last battle’
“Thank you Sumeragi san, but I don’t have something to do outside in particular” she resume to her work. She did grew up in space and this ship indeed.
Sumeragi sigh, how to make this girl get out from her routine job?
She did notice the tension feldt and setsuna have before he depart for making contract with ELS
He had been missing for a months after that.
The pink haired operator said it’s fine, he has bigger fate waiting for him. Feldt is not really a chit chat person but Sumeragi know she had it in mind.
Right after she wanted to resume to her computer, Sumeragi blocking her way.
“Feldt grace, you are dismissed from your work.”
“Eh? But...”
“As your captain , I order you to take some holiday leave, please”
She throw her a bag.
“Pack up your things and ..go take stroll in here, you are rarely travel in earth right?”
“Ah….”
“All members have free pass for their vehicle and travel in earth, here’s yours”
She took her card, oh gosh how long since she’s been travelling ? she did had stroll with Christina long time ago, and maybe with milleina, but she rarely wander at her own.
“You might met something too you know” the brown haired captain smiled at her.
She hesitantly pack her things and then looked at some destination. She notice the advertisement with and there’s yellow flowers at the picture, her heart clench, she remembers him.
His beloved setsuna, the one who she started to cared on, he gave him flower, asking how he have been, even though, he’s changed, no longer human, but something more.
She shooked her head, then made up her mind to take a travel on beach and flowery fields on middle east.
She waved at Sumeragi. And took a fast train to the town.
The beautiful scenery greeted her sight.
The short haired operator looked at the boutique, and try some dress and jacket made from jeans, it was lovely.
She then changed her usual appearance to the casual clothes.
Being too long at space made her get used to looking at the void, the stars, and empty space, earth was more beautiful here.
She take a walk at the shore, enjoying the sunset.
And then when the sun goes down she did notice some figure that she recognize.
The raven hair guy..tanned skin.. that blue pilot suit..
“Setsuna.”
He turned at her, look a little bit shocked.
“Feldt Grace.”
His tone is stoic as his usual appearance.
Even though this is their first time seeing each other after being apart for so long, she couldn't run towards him, drowning her longing in a warm embrace like she did when he woke up from coma, but her eyes feels a bit blurry.
She did miss him ,and cannot turned it into the word.
“How are you?”
“Feldt i-uh”
The tension feels a bit awkward, he can read her mind, innovator did this unintentionally, and that makes him feel a bit guilty, knowing her mind without her consent.
“ it’s been late so... You wanted to move to a better place?”
She smiles
“I would like that”
He brought her some hot drinks.
Knowing she might be hungry he also purchase some food in nearby shop, there is a tide so they move to a place closer to the beach.
How did he arrive at this place to be honest.. she thinks.
“I don’t know you already back in earth” she sips.
“Well things finished faster than it should, tieria help me with it”
“ I see”
Slience again.
‘Feldt, earlier you asking me how are I’m doing.. umm.. things changed so fast lately, I’m changed too, so I'm still trying to understand the changes I'm going through. This come with..”
Her turquoise orb fixing on him
“..My ability to read people mind”
“…oh”
Now her face is red, he probably knows her feelings already
“It doesn't mean you want to deliberately read people's minds, right, Setsuna?”
“I’m sorry for my treatment back then, that i..cannot really return what you do to me feldt”
His gaze were in ocean, looking at how waves sweep the sands and there’s foam on it
“ It’s fine though, you have a bigger fate”
“But you did, suffer from it don’t you?”
Her eyes widen.
“I… uh… it’s my consequences to care too much”
He took her hand ,grabbing her fingers in it.
“ Took me a months to think about it feldt, how would I redempt.. all the time you spent to suffer for me?”
Their gaze met, honestly her encounter with setsuna is the last thing she expect at her trip, maybe Sumeragi know about setsuna’s location yes, but this?
“..Setsuna, I don’t suffer with my feelings, it’s my choice.”
She did notice her iris turned golden , the innovator mode.
“.. I don’t really know how to deal with this feels, feldt grace.”
His hand caressing her hand.
“Of all the people, why me?”
….Wait did he just…
“Are you know my…” her cheeks redden.
“um maybe…”
She cannot believe it, dear God.
“I know you since you were a child, the first time you came to celestial being, how you grow, how we lament our lost friend, I knew you suffer more since you feel more things than I do…. How you took the lead…and… How that caring feeling of mine turned into something more..”
Her eyes is blurry. Her other hand grabbing his gloved arm
“.. But I did, still think about you setsuna, I cannot let you go, I can’t forget it easily, I have feelings that probably, our chance to meet again is low.Share stories and even greet each other, I do…love you, setsuna f. seiei, no matter who you are.”
…she did the confession
He didn’t think she will do that full mode of her feelings declaration, he just wanted to make sure his feelings.
“Feldt grace i…”
He feels his heart beat a little bit faster, looking at her gaze, he don’t wanna disappoint her, but he’s no longer human, probably couldn’t always be with her.. and….
He notice he did also care about her.
“I don’t really good at feelings.. I may not always be by your side, or even met you occasionally, but will you.. will you allow me to know you more? About the things that I missed, after we known each other for years?”
She smiles
“…Yes, that is fine”
Is this what they called you have your feelings got reciprocated ?
He not saying anything, but pulled her into an embrace that was an expression of the length of time that had passed without each other's existence.
She circle her arm on his shoulders.
He’s real, he’s here.
And she won’t let him go.
It’s been late and she did notice she forgot to check in to some hotel. She take her bag from the shop that they buy the dinner on and she sighed at the realization.
“You can sleep at mine” setsuna suggest with his usual monotone face.
“HUH HAH?” she flustered
“No, not that, my gundam, you know, they are cozy to sleep on.”
“Ah…yea but where will you sleep then?”
“I have my tent don’t worry.”
“Oh.. alright..”
She then take a glance at him again.
“ Did you tell anyone about your arrival at earth?”
“….I think.. Sumeragi and ian knows about it.. they track my location.”
“Ah-“ so maybe this why Sumeragi insist on making me move?
“If you wanted to go to the bath room there’s a restroom in that cottage, you can just go, or ask my companion if you wanted”
She did nod again.
She take a step to his 00 Quanta cockpit, he helps her and the brought some blanket from his storage.
Together they saw the moon and the big yellow flowers on the night sky.
“….the moon is so beautiful” he murmured.
“Setsuna?” she tilt her head
“…it’s nothing, just tell me if you need something alright?”
What was that sudden…. She sighed.
There’s lots of things happen today. His sudden arrival, her stroll at the cities..
And the confession..
Feldt feels her cheeks feels red once more
C’mon feldt you’re not a teenager-
“good night setsuna.”
“Night. Feldt”
They bid each other before going on peaceful slumber, for at least now.
Setsuna still wide awake on the tent, his innovator body not really required much sleep as human did.
“Miss Sumeragi really knows how to handle people didn’t she” he have soft smiles.
He still look at the glass contained flower on his side, cherish it a lot,
As much as he care about the one who gave it to him.
