"So, whadayya say?" Teto exclaims.
"Hm?" Miku replies quietly, distracted by her personal train of thought.
"Ugh, I mean about the party tonight!" Teto said, frustrated. "Ren invited all three of us, do you want to go?"
"Oh! Of course!" Miku declared without hesitation.
"I knew you'd be down!" Teto added excitedly. "But how about you, Neru?" she continued, turning to their mute friend.
Neru rolled her eyes, before giving a gentle nod.
"Enthusiastic as ever," Teto observed sarcastically. "Well then, why waste any time, let's get ourselves on the road."
Teto jumped from her unstable seat on the climbing frame, dashing over to snatch Miku's and Neru's hand to unite them as they made their way towards the Kagamine's home across the street. The serene landscape of the park passed them by in a flash, as Miku's smile illuminated their way, and Neru's butt skid across the grass, leaving a trail in all their wake.
They arrived by the front gate to the Kagamine's large complex, surely much larger than was necessary for only two people, as it stretched across several roads. Teto pushed their red doorbell down with haste, jittering with joy as she awaited their response. She pondered on what the night may have in store, from water guns to karaoke, to alcohol and mighty delicious baguettes, her limit was her boundless imagination as she held her head high, attempting to peak over the garden gate ahead. Her brain wandered and wandered, falling into a deep daydream of the luxurious household and the-
"Teto!!" Miku shouted, awakening Teto from her wide-awake slumber.
"M-Miku! What's up?!" Teto voiced, confused and disorientated.
"It's been 5 minutes, don't you think we came too early?" she responded.
"Oh, you're probably right, sorry guys..." Teto apologised, before suddenly feeling a tap on her shoulder.
She turned around to find Neru shoving her beloved yellow flip-phone into Teto's face. It displayed a message, received from the applicant 'Kagamine Rin,' with a message stating "the gate is open l.o.l, let yourselves in <3."
"I see, well now I just feel stupid," Teto commented.
"That's because you are!" Miku added, her tone a mix of sarcasm and genuine joy.
The trio pushed the gate open collectively, creaking loudly as it gave way for the group to squeeze on through.
"At least this night can't get any worse!" Miku said optimistically.
